Can the three teenage daughters of demon dog half-brothers Inuyasha and Sesshomaru save their parents, themselves, and both realms from the menace of the seven mystical Rainbow Pearls?
This book was nostalgic for me. It took me back to when I saw the anime (which in turn had taken me back to Inuyasha). I liked the pacing, the storytelling, the clearly defined characters, the comic elements and the emotional elements. Disclaimer: If I weren't such a fan of the anime, it is possible that I might have rated this 4 or 4.5 or maybe 4.8 stars. I am finding it difficult to gauge the exact degree of my bias, so I will leave this at 5 stars with this disclaimer. Thanks to Edelweiss+ for an ARC. Best wishes to the team!
I have so many feelings. I love that Buyo is still alive. 🐱 I almost cried when Kagome’s mom saw a photo of her, and Moroha getting to spend time with her Grammy was so needed. There were battles and stuff too, but getting to spend time in the present was my favorite part.
Getting to watch the girls react to the modern world was a lot of fun. The ending of this volume though was pretty good though it feels the battle was rather short.
