Wow! When I first grabbed this book, I thought this could be a fun and unusual read for me. I normally read fantasy, but having grown up loving Resident Evil, I wanted to see what this book was all about.

Keep in mind, this is a Romance and readers will see that on page one. It's important to know, however, that this romance IS important and sets up the characters.

This story follows Violet and Ryder. Their paths split but end up coming back together in the most unusual times. The world is ending and they have to figure out if their love is worth fighting for as much as their survival.

This is a can't put down, true suspense, full of twists and turns that will keep you guessing. I laughed, I tried, I cheered...

Veronica is a BRILLIANT story teller!

There were a few things that I wanted answered that weren't, like how a couple of characters actually survived an incident, but it didn't bother me enough and it didn't really affect the overall story.

This is definitely worth a read!

If you liked the “Walking Dead” series, you would love this book! The main character (Violet) is a hardworking mother and girlfriend to a man who does not treat her well. Things start to go south quickly in the first few chapters and Violet loses a lot of people that she loves. She must learn how to survive without getting a chance to grieve. She is reunited with people from her past and continues to lose those that are close to her. It is a fast-paced book with some bends in the road that you don’t quite see coming until they are screaming in your face.

While I did enjoy the book, I ultimately chose to give it a three-star rating. The e-book had some formatting errors and there were a few scenes that were confusing to me. Veronica was very receptive to my feedback and was nice to chat with. The overall story was fun to read, the characters were enjoyable, and I was able to picture the setting as the book progressed.

I normally don’t gravitate towards dark romance but beyond the dead is something I’ve never seen before! The zombie apocalypse aspect was so good and the devotion of Ryder for Violet was 🥵🥵 I’ll 1000% recommend this book to others! Also I gave it to my grandma to read and she loved that the first paragraph had the word cock in it 🤣🤣 1000/10 !

When I Read this book, it gave me a rollercoaster of emotions, that kept me intrigued the whole time.

Experienced goosebumps, to tears rolling down my cheeks, to feeling hot and sweating in certain chapters.

Definitely agree, if you like “The Walking Dead” this book is for you!!

Trying to put this book down is like putting your phone away before bed, it’s too good!!!

Amazing job Veronica, amazing book and love that it takes place in Canada.

A Zombie Apocalypse Dark Romance that's set in Canada? Yes, please!

Violet is such a strong, badass, fmc, and don't even get me started on Ryder, his possessive protectiveness was delicious! I was obsessed with their unwavering dedication to one another, despite facing the literal end of the world.

I enjoyed this book! If you’re a Walking Dead fan, you will without a doubt enjoy this book! The FMC is a strong character, I wish I were that bad@55! I don’t want to spoil anything, but she’s never gives up!!

I wish this book had been longer! I would have loved to read more of their adventures! I was bummed that it finished! Definitely worth the read!

This book will have you gripping your seat the whole time! Just when you thought you knew what was coming next, a curve ball is thrown at you! This is not a “everything good happens to your favourite character” kind of book. If you like the gory, zombie type of stuff then this is the book for you! I thought it was a great read, different from what I normally read!

Absolutely loved this!!! The zombie apocalypse setting was so vividly written. The scenery, the tension, the emotion, everything pulled me right in from the very beginning. I never knew what was going to happen next, and the writing between the main characters was beautiful and full of feeling. Even the side characters stood out and added so much depth. I love that this book takes place in Alberta and British Columbia!! If you loved the walking dead you'll love this. Violet and Ryder are my new favorite book couple! I won't say any spoilers but this book is spicy, funny and heartbreaking! Everything that makes a book amazing is in this book! Can't wait to see what else Veronica writes <3
