Sweet and cute little omegaverse that probably deserved a better title.
There is a part that's sad that I wish didn't happen the way it did. Sebastian was the king and could have controlled the situation better, but just didnt? 🤷♀️
I'm looking forward to Briar and Hal's book next

I love the found family in this as well, the other characters were so great. I hope we get to hear from more of them.

4.5 stars. This was adorable feel good omegaverse sweetness. Seb and Gus were so spicy and cute together. These authors together were a winning duo. Aww... look forward to more🫠🫠

Review:
I really enjoy Omegaverse stories and from the blurb this one seemed right up my alley. Admittedly it did take me a while to get into the story but when I did I ultimately really enjoyed it.
Both of the MC's were great characters but I especially liked Seb. As the King he has the world on his shoulders but doesn't let it stop him from stepping out of tradition, finding love and creating the kind of world he wants for his people.
The longing and the pining between the MCs was written so well and my heart broke for both Gus and Seb during the story. The book was also a lot spicier than I expected, but still left plenty of room for sweetness and romance which I really liked.
I loved the ending of the book, getting the overall plot resolution and seeing both of the MCs happy with their family. There were also a lot of great side characters which I'd like to see more of and hope we get stories for in the future.
Overall this was a really cute story and I'll definitely read the next book in the series when it's released.

amazing start to a series!!!
This was such a cool take on the omegaverse world and I loved every moment. I loved watching the omega be the one in power for a change. Power, but still have omega qualities that I love in this world. I could have kept reading about this couple. I didn’t want to leave. I love how they saw each other. Saw thru the stereotypes. Saw the humanity in each other. Saw each others softness.
The writing was great as usual. I love everything AE writes. She has a way of sucking you in a story and hitting you with all of the emotions which I like. This was my first read from Regitse and she did an amazing job also. The story flowed together and if I wasn’t told I wouldn’t have known who wrote what part, which is what you want in a multi writer book.
Chefs kiss on the spice. This had all the things spicy things I need in a omegaverse. Knotting, pleasing, begging, care, claiming, possessiveness, mine, don’t mess with mine. With the fates all up in it.
Can’t wait for the next book in this series.

But Himbo was a whole new experience for me, it was my first omegaverse, my first mpreg, and my first introduction to Regitse. To say I was intrigued would be an understatement, and I’m thrilled to say that this book did not disappoint.
From the very first page, the story completely pulled me in. I was instantly hooked and found myself invested in the world and characters right away. As someone new to these tropes, I was amazed at how seamlessly the authors wove everything together. The world building was amazing, and the character dynamics felt natural. It’s clear that Regitse and Anja have an incredible partnership, and their writing together is awesome.
By the time I turned the last page, I knew this wouldn’t be my last book by Regitse. Himbo exceeded my expectations in every way. It only reinforced why A.E. Jensen remains one of my favorite authors, and now I’m excited to dive into everything in Regitse’s catalog as well.

This was a fun book to read with just the right amount of angst in it. I love that the authors wanted to have fun co-writing this book and that it’s going to turn into a whole series! One of the things I like about omegaverse romance is that there are so many different variations on it and authors can put their own spin on it, and I really enjoyed the take Anja and Regitse had. In this universe, Alphas are considered dangerous and the Omega king must use his magic to suppress their danger and unpredictability. Even so, most Alphas are shipped far away so Omegas can live in peace. When it’s time for the king, Sebastian, to produce an heir, Gus’s duty to breed him suddenly turns into so much more.
This book was really adorable, and Gus was a well-written himbo that will endear readers to him. Sebastian was so fierce, and I did appreciate how their relationship flowed despite the hormones flying around. Oftentimes in omegaverse, I think we miss out on the “getting to know you” portion of the relationship. The spice in this book was excellent, and there’s just something so primal about this particular intimacy. I’ve been a fan of Anja’s for a few years now, and if she’s writing it you know I’m going to be reading it. However, I’m new to Regitse’s work but I think they flowed beautifully together. I’m really looking forward to the second book in the series!

A reverse omegaverse where the omegas have all the power, and alphas are used as breeders, sent away from their omega family members once they hit mid teens, as alphas are dangerous to omegas and only kept in check due to magic possessed only by the royal family.
King Sebastian is nearing the end of his peak years for conceiving an heir, and his advisors set out to find the perfect alpha to breed the king. Introduce Gus: an adorable, and huge, farmer who leads a simple life, working the farm during the day, carving wood in his free time, and trading his work at the market for honey. At first, Seb is wary of the alpha selected for him, but he soon discovers there is more to the story than what he's been told his whole life.
I adored our two MCs and their clearly distinctive voices. I adored the relationship they built. It wasn't quite insta-love, but definitely on the quicker side, and of course the heat cycle made it physical really quickly, and really that was all it was ever meant to be. But what happens when an alpha and an omega fall in love in a world that forbids them from being together? That is what this story is about. It's got the faitytale vibes of "meant to be", it deals with themes of prejudice and acceptance, it's low angst and high heat, and the epilogue had so much adorableness I couldn't contain my giggles!! 🥰
I'm very happy the authors revealed who the couple of the next book will be, and I absolutely predicted it, and I'm glad to see they have more books planned too for this series, and I can definitely think of some side characters whose story I would love to read in the future!

First off, I am so glad I read this book as I’m a huge omegaverse reader and geez, this hit all the spots. From the mpreg aspect, I knew this book was do me. This book was super sweet and to feel such an emotional experience was everything my heart needed.
I loved the concept of where the king was the omega and joy is he fierce and just everything that Gus needed. Gus is the sweetest himbo ever. He’s just so adorable that I just wanted to give him a hug. When these two got pulled apart, I wanted to scream, especially to how it happened.
I just loved how they met. Gus and his love for honey is just the cutest. I really loved the ending because man, Sebastian is just truly the best. I loved how the aspect of alpha and omegas was explained and it was just so beautiful.
I’m now hooked and have to read other books hy both of these shorts because yes please, I just loved how sweet and caring these two were for one another.
I really loved the found family in this book two and wonder if we will get other books from the other characters.

Saying I enjoyed this book feels like an understatement. It was the perfect read at exactly the right moment. Sweet, wholesome, comforting… this story wrapped itself around me like the biggest, softest hug, and I honestly did not want to let go.
The worldbuilding is fascinating. In this omegaverse, omegas rule, while alphas are feared, banned, and reduced to one purpose only: breeding. It’s a sharp, unsettling dynamic that immediately pulls you in.
That’s how omega King Seb meets alpha Gus, and from that moment on, everything begins to shift. Their connection challenges everything this world believes to be true and sets the stage for real, meaningful change. Watching that unfold was both tender and deeply satisfying.
The romance is gentle, heartfelt, and full of warmth. Gus is peak himbo energy in the best way, and Seb completely stole my heart. Together, they are soft, hopeful, and quietly powerful.

Saying I enjoyed this book feels like an understatement. It was the perfect read at exactly the right moment. Sweet, wholesome, comforting… this story wrapped itself around me like the biggest, softest hug, and I honestly did not want to let go.
The worldbuilding is fascinating. In this omegaverse, omegas rule, while alphas are feared, banned, and reduced to one purpose only: breeding. It’s a sharp, unsettling dynamic that immediately pulls you in.
That’s how omega King Seb meets alpha Gus, and from that moment on, everything begins to shift. Their connection challenges everything this world believes to be true and sets the stage for real, meaningful change. Watching that unfold was both tender and deeply satisfying.
The romance is gentle, heartfelt, and full of warmth. Gus is peak himbo energy in the best way, and Seb completely stole my heart. Together, they are soft, hopeful, and quietly powerful.

I was able to read an ARC of this book. I enjoyed the world building and learning how Alphas and Omegas operate in this society. Gus is a sweetheart and Seb is force to be reckoned with. I enjoyed their relationship, and all of the side characters who help keep these two from losing their minds. The plot is similar to some other omega/alpha books I have read where the world fears alphas as dangerous so separates them from Omegas except for when they need one. This was a sweet and adorable romance and I look forward to seeing the next couple (as this is going to be a series)! Can't wait to see how the world develops and grows. If you like mm romance, especially light hearted cozy reads with a bit of spice, minimal turmoil and heartache and are fans of or open to omega/alpha omegaverse books definitely give this one a read when it comes out.

Sebby and Gus form a connection beyond the breeding. Sebby wants to keep Gus and raise their baby together, he needs to find a way to make it possible. He discovers his fathers journals which could hold the answers he is looking for.
This is my first omegaverse, mpreg book. The writing flows so easily and the descriptions from Regitse and Anja are flawless. The way they each wrote a character was beautiful, and made you fall in love with them both, wholeheartedly. Gus was a great big hunk of a gentle giant, and fell for Seb fast. Seb was so strong and held the power.
I loved this book and may give this genre another go at some point.

I had a good time reading this! The politics when it came to Alphas and Omegas was done in such a unique way. Gus was adorable! He was just a sweet honey loving Alpha who was falling for his Omega and Sebastian was a kind hearted king trying to create his own path as he began to fall for his Alpha. I enjoyed their relationship and the cute moments between them such a Seb having different variations of Honey for Gus to try and Gus using his carpentry skills to create gifts for Seb as well as chats under the table! I also enjoyed the side characters and the friendships that were formed. I’d be interested in more from this world.

Both of the characters had so much depth, and it was so nice to see that Seb haven't treated Gus the same as others did, just because he was an Alpha. They actually got to know each other, before the heat Gus was taken to the palace for started, and let me just add that the actual heat scenes were 🔥🔥🔥.
There were also many amazing side characters, that I can't wait to read more about!

I don’t know what it was about this book but it truly made my heart happy. It was so sweet. Both mmcs had my attention the whole time. The spice was really good also. I loved the art throughout. It was a sweet surprise. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series. Def a 5 star for me ❤️

If you’re looking for a seriously sweet and spicy MM omegaverse book with mpreg, look no further. Seb and Gus have got you covered *cute eyes* I don’t think I could dote on these two anymore than I am already.
Gus is truly goodness and light, and all things nice. I wanted to smother that big cuddly bear of an alpha with cuddles and all the honey he could want (though realistically the huge softy would just want his beloved Seb!). His character is pure sunshine, and his infectious personality absolutely charmed me as well as his king. I dare you to try and not like him!
If anyone needs to learn how to enjoy life and smile more, it’s Seb, though I did really admire his dedication and commitment to doing the right thing for his people. Under pressure to ensure that the alphas aren’t dangerous and create an heir with one of them, he’s understandably reluctant to meet the farmer at first, but wait until he meets our lovable Gus.
Seb’s non-judgemental, kind approach when meeting Gus, and the alpha’s adorable innocence promised many cute encounters between the two, and I couldn’t help grinning like an idiot watching them fall in love. The tenderness between them in their interactions – soft looks, gentle touches, sweet words – I inhaled it all.
I loved how everything about Gus helps to open Seb’s eyes to the truth, and that he finally stands up to his stooopid old advisors. I think they should take a reaaaaally long hike and come across those angry buzzing friends that Gus came across early in the book…
I really loved this take on the omegaverse roles, and how things play out in the end. The story flows beautifully and wraps up everything nicely. I was absolutely longing to meet Gus’s family to see if they were as precious as he was.

The way I absolutely devoured this book speaks volumes in how much I loved it 😂😈.
It was a unique take on an Omegaverse and a reversal from what we all are used to, but that's what makes this book such a great read! It'll stick with me for a long time to come due to these differences... That and Gus is just such a sweet Himbo cinnamon roll, golden retriever that I want to live in his pocket and protect him from all harm 🥹🫶.
Seb is his greatest supporter, once they get to know one another but there's also an instant connection between the two which I was here for 🔥😏.
This book had me cackling alongside the characters, and swooning during the heat scenes as well as just falling head over heels alongside them 😘💯.

A MM royal, forbidden romance with Alpha farmer x Omega king, size difference, sass x himbo, first times, m-preg, secrets/mystery, cuteness, heartache & love.
This book had grabbed me from its honey, I devoured my #ARC within 8hrs. It's a sweet story but things get maddening for some time, BUT HEA's lovely. I adored Gus & Seb.
The world gives a old-timey fantasy vibes, tho not exactly magical. I really like it's twist of giving Omegas the power in world, as most have alphas on top. Despite the oppression & alphas exiled, it's still good life quality comparatively.
Sebastian is the omega king. S's kind, wonderous, tiny twink yet bossy. Here, Alphas are deemed dangerous so Omega king releases their "magic" to keep them subdued. Alphas are just breeders, so falling in love with one? Forbidden.
Gus is an Alpha farmer. G's big, shy, sweet, innocent, simple-minded & curious. I loved his sexy intense side & how the grumpy S warms up to G's surprising sunshine 🥰. G loves honey!
Story is comedic & hilariously cute at start, G's chosen to breed Seb for a hier. I like how they get close, how S is big on consent 😁. G+S are hella hot together, especially in & after heat 🔥. But there's a thread of melancholy, knowing it can't last. From how lovely it was, the angst hit hard 😭 (short yet long). I hated how King felt powerless 😤. I guess, it's his own prejudices stoping too. So when he gets over them, finds truths, he takes control & it's glorious again 😁. Cute babies & lovely HEA!

I knew a seperation would happen, but I never expected it to be long in time. I am curious how long gestation period is or how frequent the heats are 🤔. I just finished and the end made me cry like a baby. The injustice of tearing families apart hit HARD right now. I am still tearing up despite the utterly completely happy ending that I absolutely adored.
I can’t tell you who I liked more. Gentle giant Gus or tiny tough tornado Seb. This book was so endearing, absolutely freaking spicy as all get out. Seriously, the amount of clothes Seb must go through! Ha! Their relationship development was well paced and so so lovely.
The cast of characters were amazing. I loved Hal, he don’t give no fucks that Seb is the king and I cannot wait for his story with the shy Briar. And Adrian and Corin? Eh, eh? Or who is Bram going to meet on his travels? The possibilities!

i would have loved elias and his knights' (whose name i don't currently remember, IM SORRY) story, they were cute.
i feel like seb's fathers' death wasn't discussed enough as a plot? i mean one moment seb was reading his omega father's diary in which he wrote that he left to search for seb's alpha father and then theyre just dead? how do we know? they should have come back together and be there for their son, but i'm just hoping they are out there, happy & proud and that they're going to be found soon.

Review for (Enduring Hearts-1) A Himbo for my Heat by Regitse Liljadorff & A.E. Jensen
This is the first book I have read by Regitse Liljadorff. But I have read quite a bit from A.E. Jensen. I love the style of their writing. Once I finished this story, I saw why these two authors wrote together. They are gifted apart, but put them together, wow. I love paranormal alpha and omega stories. Gus (the alpha) is Sebastian, who is the king and has only used alphas when he needed them in the past. He is told now that he needs a child. He is in need of finding the alpha that will give him that. This story was somewhat different from what I have read in the troupe. This story has a lot of intrigue with what these two men need to get out of their marriage. Will they, in the end, get what the two of them want? They have found that they want a future with each other.

This is the first book I have read by Regitse Liljadorff. But I have read quite a bit from A.E. Jensen. I love the style of their writing. Once I finished this story, I saw why these two authors wrote together. They are gifted apart, but put them together, wow. I love paranormal alpha and omega stories. Gus (the alpha) is Sebastian, who is the king and has only used alphas when he needed them in the past. He is told now that he needs a child. He is in need of finding the alpha that will give him that. This story was somewhat different from what I have read in the troupe. This story has a lot of intrigue with what these two men need to get out of their marriage. Will they, in the end, get what the two of them want? They have found that they want a future with each other.

I truly loved this story. I am a true sucker for a himbo, especially when he finds a love that truly accepts him as he is. Such a simple yet heartfelt story. I loved how there were so many great side characters that I am going to be on the edge of my seat waiting for their stories. One thing that did stick out to me was that in this world, it doesn’t seem like there are any females. I thought that was a really interesting twist to it and made it a more interesting world for the story.

I love reading books about mates even though this wasn’t a traditional mates. Gus is so cute and so perfect for Seb. The cute little babies they brought into the world are gonna be cute little twins together hopefully they get their own book soon. This book was so cute and I’m so glad they got their HEA and I can’t wait to see what comes next!

A Himbo for My Heat by A. E. Jensen and Regitse Liljadorff is an omegaverse story where the omegas hold all the power and the alpha’s main job is to get them pregnant and then be sent away to work on farms or other places and have no other contact with them. Sebastian is now the king and has “magic” that controls the alphas because they are dangerous and need it so they won’t hurt the omegas. This started with his grandfather, was passed down to his father, and now to him where they hold a yearly ceremony where the king releases his magic so the alphas will be controlled. Once an alpha has performed his duty in making a baby he is sent away and never sees them again. It is now time for Sebastian to have an heir that he can pass his magic on to, and his 4 royal advisors have made it clear it must be done. He does not get to choose the alpha who will breed him, so the advisors go out to find the “perfect” one for him. When they arrive at Wild Willow Farm all of the alphas that work there come forward except for Gus. He is the biggest alpha of them all yet soft, gentle, and kind and has never had any schooling, so he appears to be simple minded. He has been off with his best friend Hal looking for honey which is his favorite thing in the world and when he is attacked by the bees he runs back to where everyone is, the advisors see him, and they think he is perfect. So they send him back to the palace where Sebastian meets him and is somewhat appalled because he hasn’t cleaned up and doesn’t say much. When he questions the advisors, he is told they picked him because he was strong, simple-minded, harmless and handsome. The servants clean him up for dinner and Seb is surprised that he actually enjoys his time with him as they laugh, get drunk, and tell stories. Seb’s best friend, Elias, who got pregnant from a guard which his advisor father didn’t know, is there and tells him what the servants had seen and that he is a lucky man. The next day they go to a lake and swim and Seb likes Gus as much as Gus likes him. When his heat starts, they have several hot love scenes and they find a bond forming between them. Gus took care of him and Seb knew he would choose Gus if he could, especially since he was feeling loved and cherished. But Seb knows that once he is with child Gus will be sent away and he will never see him again because it is the law. When he gets pregnant, he keeps Gus with him for as long as he can but the advisors finally send him away without even letting them say goodbye. They are both heartbroken but try to go on, even though they know they are mates. Seb is in the library one day when he spots his father’s journal and he starts reading it. That is when he finds out what happened with his grandfather and about the magic and with the help of his friends, he leaves to find Gus and make things right for the kingdom. While at the farm he has his babies and brings them and Gus back to the palace to make a decree that will change everything for the alphas and omegas and both he and Gus declare their love for each other and are able to finally be together. I enjoyed this story. Gus was a very sweet and kind alpha even though he was so big. He never saw himself as being dangerous, but everyone believed that all alphas were. Seb totally believed this but wondered if he really did have magic that could control them. Since the alphas never were dangerous, he figured that whatever he did worked. When he met Gus he was surprised at the advisors’ pick but once he got to know him, he couldn’t help but fall in love. There was such sadness when they were split up and thought there was nothing they could do about it, but Seb wasn’t going to give up, especially since he saw alphas and omegas together in secret and he knew that he and Gus belonged together. It was a wonderful scene when they were finally reunited. Their friends played an important part in the story and the advisors got what was coming to them in the end. It was wonderful to see that they were able to change everything so everyone could find love and stay together. I recommend this book, especially if you like omegaverse stories where the power has shifted, a king needing to bare a child and finds a simple and kind man to help him with that, and finding forbidden love where they are able to change everything so they can be together.
