When the cellphone came along, so did the camera. Suddenly, I had pictures galore—many (most?) quite… well… boring.
What to do? What to do? slap on some text, and voilà—instant cartoons!

Comic Sip is mentioned as being the project that resulted from having too many mediocre photographs without a purpose, and unfortunately, it shows.
The book is a collection of less than average photos organized by a common theme. Although the book is meant to be a comic, there is no ongoing plot between all the episodes nor a connecting theme.
Instead, each entry is provided with text that attempts to be funny either through the usage of puns, vague salutes to trivia or just stating something based on what is included in the photo.
It may tickle someone else's funny bone, but this was just another failed quick read.
When I read the description of this book, I thought why not? I am so glad I got it. Some of the captions Mr. Sipper put with the photos made me laugh out loud. Believe me, this book is well worth it!
