Reapers & Reading

Rate this book
Rory and her magical family are deep in preparing for the holiday celebrations, but the local Grim Reaper throws a spanner—or scythe—in the works when the town of Ivory Beach is chosen to host the Reapers’ annual summit. Not only is the town swarming with angels of death instead of Santa’s elves, but the situation gets even less cheery when a Reaper apprentice is found to have been murdered.

Now Rory and Xavier must unmask a killer among a group of people who reap the souls of the dead for a living - not to mention capture someone without a physical body to put behind bars. As the threat of the Reaper Council hangs over the town like a scythe, they have no choice but to race against the clock to unveil the culprit before the year’s end.

And if the head Reapers *do* show up in town, will their relationship survive the fallout?

A new Library Witch mystery!!! I was completely up to date with this series and I was so excited to hear about a new one being released. This was the first series of Elle Adams' that I read and it still remains my favourite.

Rory "Aurora" is a bibliowitch and lives inside a magical library with her family. In this adventure the reapers are in town for a big meeting, and her boyfriend, reaper apprentice, Xavier, must tag along. However things go awry when one of the apprentices is found dead.

This is one series where you *could* pick up the latest book and read, but there is so much back story that it's best to start with the first book. The books are on the shorter side and it won't take you long to catch up - because they are so good! This one is my favourite so far, because we learn so much more about the reapers.... including some very shocking secrets involving Rory's family!

I love this series so much and I can't wait for the next one.

Good book

I have enjoyed reading this and the rest of the Library Witch mystery series. Rory and Xavier are trying to discover who murdered a reaper's apprentice without the other reapers knowledge. Very entertaining!

Great read! This book is a little different in that more Reapers are a big part of the story. We also learn more about Rory's grandma and a new relationship is on the horizon. Who could it be?
