About the author

Began gaming at the age of 8 and explored a lot of different ways to play table top. When I got older, I experimented with MMOs and found a few I really liked. My first job was mowing lawns as a young teen, and I worked to use the money to pay for fantasy series like DragonLance, Dark Sun, and Forgotten Realms. As soon as I discovered LitRPG I knew I wanted to incorporate it into my writing.

Aside from taking care of my sons as a single father, writing is what I love to do most. I hope you all enjoy my work.

This book has a really good overall plot, but the story bogged down in the first half with training montages and other stuff that made it a bit of a slog until they finally returned to dungeon delving.

I like the MC. I like the women he's surrounded himself with. The primary antagonist being the MC's brother (who can't tell that the MC is his brother) is fine, but it's going to be tedious having the same antagonist for an entire series. Especially since the brother isn't a bad guy at all. His best friend, Jack, is a complete tool, but the MC's brother is fine.

I do look forward to where book 3 takes this.

Great followup for Otherworld

This is a great followup for the Otherworld series because it's a new generation with new stories and not a rehash the old series. The characters are likable and the action moves well. There is spice without it being too graphic. I look forward to the next one in the series.

I'm still annoyed by the forced 'non harm' the mc has to comply with. He's even given an option to potentially remove the option again and still doesn't take it...It it wasn't this author I would probably not still be reading it, it annoys me that much. But I did manage to finish it so that should tell you how good the rest of it is.

Good reading, lots of action both in the dungeon and between the sheets

The MC continues to level his illusion class until he can manipulate pockets of reality. However, in the background the gods play games that will have repercussions.

Enjoyed some of the philosophy of strength vs kindness.

Strong Sequel

I had as good a time with this one as I did with book 1. I think if you enjoyed book one you'll enjoy this one. Kora is great and the chemistry everyone has is amazing.

Worth the wait!

Another fantastic sequel from Deacon, I love the way the story is going and all of the characters are great. There's a fantastic balance of action to downtime and the spice is very well written and placed. Hopefully the next one comes soon!

Really good

Simply put. If you liked the first one, then you'll probably like this one.

It's pretty lighthearted, but I think it will take a much darker turn in later books. So, just be aware.

This story went generic real quick, abandoning the interesting parts from the first book, making the MC come off as stupid and unprepared for everything and adding 3x the sex. Some may like it but not me.

Great characters, interesting world, enough humour to make me chuckle and an MC that is relatable.

This is paced like a slice of life. But the characters are nowhere near developed enough to pull this off. There seems some attemp to develope relationships, but that has come at the expense of the story. Really the author should be able to handle both simultaneously.

This got boring quick. The whole second half was just a dungeon run, no real plot, not real tension, no real purpose. Just page after page after page of what each member of the party harem does at each stage of the combat, like a really bad D&D session. Another review called it generic, yeah, that fits well.
