Max is book three in the I Love You series by Julie Capulet. Max is Rafe’s younger brother. The brother that Rafe spent his life trying to protect and provide for.
Max Black is sort of the bad boy, the rebel, of the Black brothers. He is twenty four years old and is running one of Rafe’s investment companies. Max had a horrible childhood and is deeply scarred from it. He doesn’t have relationships, only one night stands. He’s even given up on those, though, for the last six months or so. He doesn’t like to be touched. The only two people that he truly cares for are his brother, Rafe, and Rafe’s wife, Lexi.
Max has been wrongly accused of insider trading and is now on house arrest. Someone has framed him and he and Rafe are determined to figure out who it is to clear his name. It’s because of the house arrest that he, his brother, and Lexi first happened into the restaurant, Peaches, which was within his zone he was allowed to travel. One look at the restaurant’s owner, and he was smitten. But his life is a disaster zone. He can’t bring someone that beautiful into his dark world. So he stays away, or tries to. After almost two weeks of fighting it, he has to see her again.
Peach Sutton just opened her restaurant a few months ago. Business is booming and it’s all because of her wonderful pies. Because Peach has a special talent for baking pies. She’s been doing it since she was five years old. Peach is living her dream come true, running her restaurant. But, one of her customers has taken a very unhealthy interest in her. Peach has a stalker.
Max can’t stay away another night. But before he can make his way to her, she finds him by accident. And Max knows, he won’t be able to let her go again.

I loved Max’s story. While this one is also filled with plenty of very sexy times, it also is more suspenseful than the other two books. Max is trying to figure out who is framing him and is also trying to protect Peach from her stalker. What I loved is that both of them were used to being alone. Once they found each other, they immediately became a team. They protected each other. They supported each other. They were all in, they knew they had found the one.
This is sweet, sexy as heck, and as a bonus, you get to spend a little time with Rafe and Lexi as well. The epilogue is perfect. So if you like an OTT sexy alpha Hero who will do anything for the woman he has fallen for, then I think you will fall in love with Max, just as I did.

We will learn that Sometimes we have to do whatever it takes to survive, & that their damages fit together, as it turns out, & help them appreciate what they have, now, maybe even more than they would have, had they not survived what they had together
At 1st I was thinking Will their relationship survive the test of time but then I read the epilogue, then wala- We even got to see caught up with Lexi & Raf life in the epilogue

This was a sweet and insta love romance read.
The sweetest peach-pie Georgia girl and the bad boy with the dark pirate edge shared an instant connection on their first meeting. Their story was full of angst, with intense moments and some steamy ones.
Max had a hard life, was very protective towards Peach and very caring. Peach might be shy but her character was strong and she was focused on growing her business.
This story was very well written, had a fast pace, dual pov.
I had the feeling that their relationship developed too quickly and didn’t enjoy a couple of drama scenes.
Their HEA epilogue was amazing!!!

It was ok. It’s safe. Not much relationship conflict. They both have stalkers. He’s a manho who doesn’t like to be touched… not sure how that works, but ok… and she’s a 21 yr old virgin.

Review:
From the author of the 'I Love You' Series comes the third book titled Max. It is the story of Rafe's younger brother Maximilian Black. It can be read as a standalone as well. Peach runs her own restaurant where she comes face-to-face with her stalker, and one night while running away from him, she runs smack into Max. Max, whom she has once met before when he came with his family to her restaurant. With his offer for protecting her too hard to resist, she takes upon it and goes to live with him for a few days.
Divided into ten parts, it starts with Max's home detention stint of three months instead of being jailed for insider trading with his elder brother Rafe's intervention. He's frustrated because he didn't commit the crime he was being accused of, but he didn't have any way of proving it. With an Ivy League degree to boast of, he was the CFO of a Fortune 500 investment company, The Downtown Investment Group.
In two days Rafe and Lexi will be marrying and Max finally breaks his silence and confesses to Rafe that he is innocent. Under that tatted bad boy charm, is good old Max wanting to feel that spark with a special someone. Max is starstruck as soon as Peach comes to take their orders. Rafe, his fiancée Lexi, her friend Tess, and Max are celebrating Rafe-Lexi's impending marriage in the restaurant where Peach works.
As is the author's style, all the ten parts of the story have one section each from both his and her point of view. The restaurant that they are in is called Peach's, yes, it's her business. And she is wary of him when she sees the home detention cuff on his wrist. But attracted as hell too, he is tattooed gorgeousness.
I loved the way the names were designed to appear above the POVs in the book, it looks beautiful. And also how simple the author's naming process is. Especially the history behind Peach's name is too cute. And the struggle that Max feels, of him being of two minds, whether pursuing Peach or leaving her alone. And that southern belle she's described as, I could just hear the accent while reading the book. (I don't know why but it kept reminding me of Hannah Montana. Hee hee!)
Twenty-one to his twenty-four, this is a resilient couple. They don't just jump into bed, rather they take their own sweet time in getting to know each other. I was curious about Max's past ever since it was mentioned in Rafe's story. And the emotions that the author has put into Max's story are...oh, he had to face so much, at a young age, from a person who he was supposed to trust.
This is the sweetest romance I have read in a while and it has a sweeter ending. There is a beautiful epilogue, which contains an extended epilogue as well. I loved how the author gave a detailed description of their happy ever after down the line.

I didn't know what to except when I picked up this book but it was a pleasant surprise. I love it!
Max and Peach were perfect for each other. Their relationship was sweet and steamy. I liked the chemistry and the intense sexy moments, the affection toward each other and the drama/suspense/angst I could discover in this book.

this one was SO goooood. prob one of my favs from julie capulet so far. Max was already extremely intriguing even in Rafe and Lexi’s book. he is to die for! he was a manwhore who fell so hard after seeing Peach for the first time. Max is such a marshmallow. he is the sweetest ever on the inside. AGH swoon times a thousand! i really liked that this book had drama not pertaining to the couple, it was interesting. my fav thing ever was when Max and Peach were facing each other in bed, in the dark, and talked for hours. talking about their past, their dreams for the future and connecting on another level (other books of Julie’s were missing this, if i am being honest) i could not get over how romantic and truly special this couple was.
i fully thought Max was in lust with Rafe’s wife, Lexi but i was so happy to read that he wasn’t. Lexi and Max were just very similar and he cared a lot about her since Lexi was an important person in his life :)

I enjoyed and liked their story.
Glad it started better than his brother and Lexi story, lets say it was more natural than that.
Liked how they meet and also how they re meet after
Loved how softie and protective he was of her, and even if he had all that past with OW, i'm truly happy he never let them touch him or kiss him.
I didn't give the last star only because i feel like i needed more from them, mostly after they get together and obviously i'm still unhappy about him and Lexi in her duet, it still bothered me how he liked liked her..i wish the author didn't make him express himself in those 2 books, glad there was no talk in his book about it, he only said that his brother had found a gorgeous girl.

Oh Max, how I loved thee! Devoured this one in just a short time! Max has scars from his past and Peach has been guarding her heart. She has a stalker and he has a scorned lover who is out to destroy him. This one had more of a plot than the first two. Loved the way both of them didn’t try to fight what they felt for each other. 💕

This is an insta-Love romance.
Max and Peach are Amazing together.
I haven't read the other books in this series,but I don't think that really matters.
Max is basically on house arrest wearing a tag because he has been set up by someone and barely just escaped jail time.
Peach is new in town and has just set up her new restaurant and is becoming famous for her pies,which has attracted unwanted attention from a stalker.
They meet when Max is out to dinner with his brother at her restaurant and it is Love at first sight,Max is mesmorized by Peach and her beauty.
One night Max saves her from her stalker and then invites her to stay with him for her own safety,as she won't go home because she's afraid...and so begins a romance sexual and emotional.
They have so much chemistry,there are some very sweet moments between them just as much as the sexy moments.
This is a fast paced story with so many things to wrap your head around.
It is a page turner and I enjoyed it very much,Max is so protective of Peach and her innocence and it made me swoon.
I delighted in this story its a great unputdownable book that Julie Capulet has written so well.

Max is the third book in the I Love You Series by Julie Capulet. Max is Rafe Black's younger brother who he has spent his entire life taking care of and protecting. Max did not have an easy childhood and had some brushes with the law. He has a reputation as a bad boy with a promiscuous lifestyle and has never had a serious relationship. He considers himself too damaged to have a relationship with anyone. He is on house arrest for insider trading that he was set up for and is trying to figure out who did this to him.
Max's life is tilted upside down the evening he walks into Peach's Restaurant. The connection he feels with the owner, Peach, is instantaneous and reciprocated. He has never believed in love for him, never felt these feelings before. Instant-love or lust, it has taken over Max and he is a Beast! Possessive AF is definitely a Black family trait! Peach has a stalker so she needs protection. Max steps up to be her bodyguard 24/7 and the heat is turned up past boiling!

As the youngest of the Black brothers, Max always seems to get the raw end of the deal so when he is arrested for insider trading and has to spend three months under house arrest he has time to make a few changes. The first is to find the person who set him up and get his freedom back. The second is to try and get the one woman he ever had more than a moment with out of his mind. But with the help of apple pie and the need to help her out of a bad situation, Max finds he cannot seem to stop thinking about Peach. Will he have the same luck with his instant attraction? Or will she become annoying like all the others that have come before her? I fell in love with Max during Rafe and Lexi's story and I was so happy to see him get his own book. To watch the might fall in love and allow someone else into his nightmares was a joy to read. Turning the black knight into a loveable teddy bear was just perfect!!

Max and Peach’s story was really good, after reading his brother’s book I was hesitant to start this one but I really enjoyed it, Max was an interesting character in the previous book so I was excited to read his book and he and Peach were amazing together. Despite of his past he felt really connected to Peach and she was the only one who could read him and help him overcome his fears.
Their steamy scenes were really hot and that chemistry between them was off the charts from the beginning. Max always tried to be there for her and I loved all of their interactions. The story had the perfect amount of drama and I really wanted to know how everything was going to end.
Their scenes together were really nice and they both had been through a lot so I loved how at the end they finally got the happy ending they deserved.

This is one of the stories that just melts your heart. It is an insta-connection, insta-love, insta-alpha in full mode story. Max by Julia Capulet is a whirlwind of a story that takes on southern charm in the city. Mixing in all the crazy parts that sometimes the city has to offer.
Ms. Capulet has taken this story to the next level in this spin-off of the I Love You series and gives us a standalone that leaves you wanting more but don't worry we get caught up with Rafe and Lexi.
Sometimes when you read a story the character connection is there but not strong enough. Not in this book, you will not be disappointed in this story because the connection is off the pages. Steaming hot! With the dual point of view, we get all the feels from both sides, the push and pull that pulls you into the story with them.
Having a restaurant in Los Angeles Peach lives, breathes, and works endless hours building her reputation and trying to make her grandma proud. When a stalker sets his eyes on her things start to take a turn for the worse. But when she turns and runs right into Max, the playboy, alpha male, things get a little veered off from the path once again.
Max is damaged goods. From a horrific childhood to trying to make something of himself to insider trader accusations, things just can't go right for Max. But when Peach runs into him, the instinct to take control and take action is something he can't fight when the pull is too great. But with his emotions and dealing with someone coming after him, can he try and help Peach out? Or will the chemistry be too much and burn everyone?
This is so well written that you will zip right through the pages with every twist and turn. There is so much in the details of this story that just makes this a great read.

Both Max and Peach were plagued by stalkers. Peach’s stalker attacked and physically hurt her which caused her emotional damage as well. Max’s stalker was an obsessed ex who was able to systematically ruin his reputation, business and relationship with Peach.
This short story was filled with drama which escalated until the satisfying HEA.

Max is a beautiful man who is tortured by his past , when he is at a low point he meets Peach who is a ray of sunshine and light to his dark. They see each other and there is an instant attraction. They both have outside forces trying to keep them apart , but they will fight together. Great characters and storyline Highly recommended Amazing Book.

Someone has set Max up to take the fall for insider trading - a crime he did not commit. He is determined to find out who set him up and make them pay. Instead of serving jail time he has to wear a tracking bracelet for 3 months that limits his movement to allow him to go from home to his office. His brother wants to take him to dinner to cheer him up and discuss his upcoming wedding and he is stunned speechless when he meets the owner of the restaurant. His only interest in women had been one night stands so he didn't understand his fascination with the beautiful woman.
Peach got her nickname at a young age when she baked her first pie. She absolutely loved baking and finally decided to open her own restaurant with her specialty being her famous pies. Unfortunately, one of her customers wasn't happy with her continued refusals for a date and became abusive and stalking her. As she is trying to escape the stalker after a night out with friends a gorgeous man who she hadn't been able to get out of her head since he came in her restaurant a few weeks ago comes to her rescue.
I love how Max wondered if he was forever damaged by his past that he didn't think he had any emotional capacity like his brother Rafe, but after only 10 minutes in Peach's company he totally understood his brother's obsession with Lexi. His longest relationship was a two-night stand and now all he can think about is getting her to stay.
I couldn't stop laughing at their conversations with themselves in their head. I love Max's tormented soul and his desperate desire to be loved. You can feel his pain coming through the pages. The storyline keeps you turning the page. The sex is steamy hot and the characters are amazing. Highly recommend this book and anything by Julie Capulet!

Georgia and is known for them since the LA Times raved about them. Apple pie just happens to be Max’s favorite food. And so the story begins…
Peach had a stalker whom is following her one night when she legit collided with Max on the street while he was on his way to see her. Max takes her to his apartment and the whirlwind romance begins. The next three days the connection and barriers that are broken down between Peach and Max are like none other.
Oh this is all while Max is on house arrest for insider trading which he never did but with the help of some of Peach’s friends and Rafe…they are able to set up a sting operation to get the woman who set up Max to confess and duplicate her laptop. All because these women are after Mr. Black! SMH! Max is off house arrest, is cleared or all charges and gets his bail money back. They offer his job back but he says no.
Just when you think Peach and Max will ride off into the sunset together nope! More tragedy happens when the stalker shows up again and shoots Max and then Peach kills the stalker with Max’s gun! Thank goodness Max makes it.
Peach and Max get married and have 4 children. They split their time between LA and Georgia. Peach’s business is doing so well she may franchise the bakery and Max’s investment app is making so much money he doesn’t need to really think about money any longer! The spice factor is definitely 4.5/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️.5. I would rate the book a 4.5/5. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5. I wish the epilogue was another book instead of maybe 15 pages. I’ve been looking forward to Max’s story since meeting him in the I Love You duet. I knew with his emotional and troubled past, his story would be just as good, if not better, than Rafe and Lexi’s intense love story. Julie Capulet has a wonderful way of writing that expresses the genuine feelings of her characters. This excerpt, from Max’s POV, is just one example of ability to weave her words into our hearts:

What’s really entertaining is to be privy to the internal battling conversations taking place inside Max’s mind. It’s the self-deprecation, the intense attraction he feels toward Peach, and his battle to keep his darkened past from possibly dimming her light. Then there’s sweet Peach’s internal battle with her attraction to Max and not knowing how to go about seducing a man, while fearing the wrath of a stalker. The overall effect is that it enables the readers to share their inner feelings.
Max and Peach have found their soulmates, and they are able to soothe each other’s demons. The dramatic climax of the story only strengthens their love for each other. This is a soulful and heartfelt love story with a wonderful, romantic ending.
