I thought I knew what to expect from our first Halloween as parents. Cute costumes, trick-or-treaters, maybe some romantic cuddling by the fire.
I should have known better, especially with these men.
Now I'm running through a spooky haunted house with my heart pounding, knowing that six predators are stalking me through the halls. And the worst part? I'm absolutely loving every terrifying second of it.
This Halloween, I'm the treat.
Emerald Treats is a 30,000 word Halloween novella that picks up after The Magic of Eternity, however this novella can be read without having read the Emerald Lakes series. It contains graphic language, explicit sex scenes, and MM content.
Britt Andrews is an author of Paranormal Reverse Harem Romance novels. She loves eating Mexican food, reading all the books, and living her best mom life in rural Ohio. Britt is a high energy extrovert who loves shattering glass ceilings and expectations. She tries to bring her humor across in her words, hoping to make every reader laugh out loud in public at least once, trust us, she'll get you when you least suspect it.
Written by ai this author is pumping out books quickly to make money off her readers. Absolutely disgraceful. Her writing doesn’t even sound the same as an ex fan of Britt who loved her emerald lakes characters amongst many others out there she is using that love to make money but not even writing her own books. This book was teased years ago and that’s how it should have stayed. Very poorly executed and robotic
This novella is not good, it reads like a mediocre book report recounting what you did on Halloween. The authors voice is completely different from how they normally write. I understand authors evolve, but this was just a let down. It felt like a bunch of filler/fluff that doesn't further the story it just ups the word count. They don't actually get down to smexy time until over 70%. Save yourself the time, not worth the read.
First of all, this author did a Kickstarter for the second book in the spin off's duology, raised over 95k then proceeded to ghost and not delivered and then gashlight and blame the backers alongside with unfinished preorders and a lot of other things. All the support to the victims.
This was just a collection of different events in their ordinary day that didn't add anything new or necessary.
Loved Emerald Lakes but what the hell is this? I can't believe it's the same author. I would have removed the last star for the use of the sp@22 slur if I could.
It was really fun to be back in the Emerald Lakes world. It's been a few years since I read the books, so it took me a minute to remember everyone, but once it all clicked I was so happy to see everyone again.
I was very happy to see Cam and Kai finally get together. That was one thing that bugged me about the end of the series. But what about Bram and Faris? Still with the teasing. I thought for sure they'd get together in that orgy but they still didn't officially. I hope she has another novella about them or something.
But anyways, this was a lot of fun. Faris' antics, the adorable dynamic between all of them, the haunted house chase. I loved all of it.
And yeah, I'm looking forward to Fern's books. That'll be fun. I still need to read the Demons of Port Black series Britt recently finished, but I'll definitely read more Emerald Lakes. I just hope it's an RH too.
Overall I liked this. It was nice to be back in this world again. Yay!

4.5 Stars - A Sweet and Spicy Halloween Treat! If you're a fan of the Emerald Lakes world, you need this book! It was so heartwarming to see Saige genuinely enjoying life and moving past her postpartum depression with her amazing mates. That emotional journey gave the whole book a wonderful, grounding feel. The humor in this one was top-tier. The costume choices were hysterical and perfectly on par for their affinities—Thunder Daddy as Thor was everything! And Baby Fang's shenanigans continue to steal the show, especially his hilarious, spot-on disdain for candy corn. The spooky surprise was pure dark romance reader fantasy! My only complaint is that I'll always want more time with this crew. Britt Andrews delivered a wonderful, fun holiday installment, and I'm eagerly awaiting the next series!
Loved this little visit with Saige and her men. What a perfect little time and you can’t help but get caught up in Farris and his enthusiasm. It’s also great to hear that Fern is getting her own spinoff so we’ll likely get more Hunter and more cameos of Saige and the guys. Love love love!!
This was such a cute Halloween novella that takes us back to Emerald Lakes 🖤 I love reading about all the fun chaotic energy Faris brings his mates 😂 This is his 1st Halloween and he's going balls to the wall! This one is short, steamy and sweet and it definitely gets you in the holidays spirit 🖤🎃
Britt does it again! The way she writes you can just SEE the scene. It’s so descriptive. I absolutely loved this novella. I loved being able to jump back in and see what Saige and her guys have been up to since the series ended. And the banter back and forth was so good. I loved all the jokes and how funny it was.
Omg I LOOOOOVVVVED this 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ Emerald Lakes Halloween novella. I’d say it can be read as a standalone, but there are spoilers to the Emerald Lake series, so I’d highly recommend reading that series first. I’d also recommend reading Demons Of Port Black series first too, but it’s not necessary. They’re all so good and worth the read.
Man I forgot how much I loved this crew. It was so great to see them all again. Faris will forever be the funniest and sweetest thing. Him and Kai bring the biggest smiles to my face. This was the perfect little novella to dip your toes back into the world. Can’t wait to see what the academy has in store for us.
I have missed Saige and her men! I guess I need to do a reread. Faris' excitement is so contagious, the interaction each of the mate group has with each other is fun, entertaining and sexy as hell! Can't wait to see what's next.
Loved the Emerald Lake series and thoroughly enjoyed this short story! Can’t wait for more on Fern and Hunter and also more on the Exiles… a cross with all sounds fantastic!
The Emerald lakes series was one of my favourite series, so naturally this novella was awesome! I love the difference between all the MMC’s. They are all so different, yet worship her the same. An awesome quick read.
It was such a treat to be able to be a part of their journey again. I enjoyed reading the Emerald lakes series and it gave me a sense of nostalgia remembering the characters. I’m so so happy for all of them ❤️
