I don't know how to properly review an Alce Sweets book. I should. I've read them all
I own all three, soon to be four in paperback (please let her release this in paperback).
I feel like reading an deMora books should come with rules but I can't share them because that would be SPOILERS and if ever there was a book that didn't deserve that - it's this one. Let me just say - take your time. Sloy enjoy ever moment, not because we won't get another book, because we will, but because my god these word deserve to be savored. There's some growth, a lot of it actually
personal and relationship wise. We see ALL the people we love including Eric in prime daddy mode *swoon*. Alace is still fiercely on top of her game, motherhood doesn't make you weak and she proves that time and again. Actually, this entire book kind of shows thst love doesn't make you weak, it makes you stronger, vulnerable yes, but stronger.
Regardless. We've got work to do, bad, bad people to take care of and some new ones to meet along the way and you might cry, but I promise you won't sob - this isn't like her Rebels series, ifkyk.
Welcome back Alace. We missed you and MariaLisa. Now, let's get to work. Who's in cleanup?

Broken Rules
I absolutely love Alace Sweets. I want to be best frands with her and Owen!! Alace is pregnant with baby #2. Eric is in protective beast mode. Owen finally admits his feelings for Doc. Kelly wants to help the team hunting predators. And Alace keeps adding to her found family.
Dallen and Orline are hunting in Alace's town. This young woman and her 8 year old brother are sloppy. Alace makes a threat ~ hunt outside my space or else. This is a world MariaLisa deMora created so we all know how this goes.
I was on edge the whole book knowing MLD was going to kill someone off. Not going to spoil the book here, but damn boss lady! I cried with this book a little more than I expected.
The family Alace is building for herself is one I would be proud to be a part of. The epilogue!! Hoping this means book 5 is in the works.

Criminally Phenomenal!
Should it be this easy to fall back into a world?
Prologue.....that's all it took. The dang Prologue and the rest was a heart pounding (heartbreaking) skid into oblivion !
Alace does not have it in Her to disappoint!

Please make sure you read the Acknowledgements section. This gives a little personal info on the author.
This book is an intense read. I was so involved that hubby had to remind me to go to bed.
All the Broken Rules continues where An Embarrassment of Monsters left off, plus 5 years. MariaLisa is VERY good at giving enough information that you do not have to read the previous books, but you will enjoy this so much better if you have read the other 3. I re-read Embarrassment because it had been so long and I was happy I did. It re-involved me with the characters.
This is Owen’s story as much as it is Alace’s . Both are continuing to grow and learn about themselves and believing in “good” monsters. They are out to stop a sibling duo that are hunting indiscriminately, or so it seems.
With this series in particular, MariaLisa seems to not write a book, but a very big chapter. I enjoyed this “chapter” and look forward to the next.
