A short read MC romance. Guaranteed HEA. Can be read as a standalone or as part of the Hellbound Saints MC series.
Maddie Bishop opened Sweet Salvation Bakery six months after her father was killed in Afghanistan. One afternoon, two men came in, and she owed $50,000 to Dimitri. He borrowed the money before he deployed to make his daughter's dream come true to own her own bakery. They showed her his signature on paperwork and said she had two weeks or the bakery was his. When they left, she saw a man standing by his motorcycle, just watching her. She had seen him at other times watching her walk home, like a silent protector. One day, he came into the bakery and told her the loan was paid and Dimitri wouldn't bother her again. She asked why. Jax was evasive. Just told her he had been watching for three years, since he came back from Afghanistan. He owed a debt to her father. He wanted to keep his daughter safe. She demanded to know why. He finally told her the truth. In Afghanistan, there was a report of Taliban insurgents. He shot two and had the third in his sights. When he pulled the trigger, her father stepped in front and was shot instead. She screamed at him to get out and never come back. He left. After grieving, she wanted to know more, she looked up her father online. She read all the reports she could find, and it became clear that Jax had been right. He had been cleared of charges, but he had left the Marines due to PTSD. He had suffered, too. She knew her father would want her to forgive him. She drove to Hellbound Saints HQ and asked to see Jax. She was told he was upstairs on his third day of drinking. She told him she forgave him. He said he didn't deserve it. She told him he had it anyway. They found that they were both keeping their feelings quiet and they loved each other. The whole MC claimed her as family now. Once she was so alone, now she had a man she loved and a family of bikers protecting her. This is a story of forgiveness, opposites attract, and unlikely love. It was a very interesting book. I really enjoyed it.
I liked this story. A daughter and her military Dad who was leaving for war overseas. Before he left, he gave her money to open the bakery she dreamed of having. He was killed in battle and the bakery became even more precious to her. Only, a bunker club informed her that her dad borrowed the money from them. They wanted it back and/or her too. There was another biker club in town and one person who was watching her at work and following her home to ensure her safety. There are untold reasons that explain why she is under the watchful eye of someone from the local biker club. There is an HEA, no cheating, no cliffhanger. Enjoy the read. I certainly did.
Saint and Madrid's story has them coming together when her father died while deployed leaving her in debited to a loan boss. He borrowed it so she could open her bakery. Now Saint steps in when the man tries to collect. He has Benn protect ing and watching her for awhile. He is trying to make redemption for something that wasn't his fau!t. good story about forgiveness and redemption and guilt and love and healing.
Too short. 7 chapters is NOT a book. The story could have been expanded with the loan shark, with the other members of the MC club, and in Jax and Maddies relationship. The story was reasonable, the spelling and grammar were almost on point but the main problem is the shortness of the story.
Love this book and it's series and would recommend it to anyone who loves to read about MC life and their families and friends 🧡 and Sable Creed is an amazing writer ❤️
What a great short read. To the point. No crappy explanations. Just loved it. So Many books today give chapters on a single subject and then repeat everything through the book. Skip so much due to repition. Not this book. Very emotional read.
Forgiveness Her dad died in military service leaving her in debt to a loan shark. She forgives Saint, but can he forgive himself? A story about forgiveness, redemption and finding love. A great ending!
An enjoyable, albeit short read, that was well put together whilst giving good background info on all the characters. Definite re-read in the future....after I've completed the series !
Short quick read. Good story wasn’t overdone. The main thing that aggravated me was in the end when it said “6 months later” and she goes and i forgave him 3 months ago…..that’s a big difference in what the story actually said.
This is a story about forgiveness between a biker and a baker. And what they must do to forgive each other for a death of a love one. This is a fast pace book. It's strong, instant romance, quick read, between two people.
4.5….A great start to this series. Maddie is a bakery owner who misses her dad. Then trouble comes knocking on her door. Jax is part of a motorcycle club with a lot of guilt….that leads him right to Maddie. This was a quick paced read with a great story. Theses two definitely had a story to tell.
I have enjoyed reading this story and I look forward to reading more of them.I would like to say thank you for all your hard work and may fortune smile 😃on you always 😁from a bookworm that loves to read
