The Love #3
Pitched Love
She’s finally quitting. He’s pushing for a promotion.Karalina Stokolov has spent years working herself to the bone, sacrificing everything for her job. But now she’s done. She’s quitting. Too bad that also means walking away from Kaydan Karpan, her frustratingly attractive boss, who has been her office-obsession since day one.
Kaydan Karpan is the definition of control. And as the head of a prestigious consulting firm, nothing ever rattles him – until Karalina hands in her resignation. She’s the best employee he’s ever had – and the only woman who’s ever gotten under his skin. A great boss would do anything to keep someone like her, right?
But as their lives collide in unexpected ways, they realize that their connection runs much deeper than just business. And some secrets don’t stay buried for long. The question is – will the truth bring them closer, or draw a line they can never cross?

1. Stop with "popping the p" when saying words like nope, yep, etc. It was done THREE freaking times in this book. Went almost the entire story without it, then BAM. One, two, three are said very close to each other.

Disclaimer: I did receive an ARC of the book
FINALLY, the plot development I was looking for from this author! I've read the first two books in the series and thought both of their plots could have been developed more. (I took a quick glance and the first two books in the series are around ~250 pages, while this one is 400+. Having this book be longer gave the author an opportunity to not only develop the plot more, but also the characters, their backstories, and relationships). I'm also a bit biased because I was captivated by Kaydan and Karalina since book 1.
I appreciated that their story was a bit more slow burn in comparison to the first two books. It gives the reader the opportunity to get to know them more both as individuals and as a couple. They both put up a strong front, but they're able to break down each other's walls and be vulnerable.
There were so many great scenes between the two of them that really developed their feelings for each other! One of my favorite scenes was when Kaydan and Karalina were in Moscow visiting Karalina's family. It showed a softer side to both of them that we hadn't seen before. Another one of my favorite scenes was the drunken love pitch deck. It's very on brand for them and had me giggling.
However, there were a few things that irked me as a reader. The author likes to use exclamation points and interrobangs, but I think she uses them too often where the punctuation starts to lose its impact. There was in my opinion, a minor issue that didn't get resolved. Artem seems to recognize Karalina when he first meets her, but she doesn't recognize him. After this interaction, they're never mentioned together again so I was left wondering if he actually did know her.
Overall, this was an enjoyable read!

Pitched Love, a book 3 in The Love series, was such a ride, exactly the kind of fun, swoony, messy romance I love to get lost in. The chemistry between the characters - total sparks flying, stubborn, a little messy, but in the best way. You know that kind of story where you’re yelling at the characters one minute and swooning the next? This is it.
It’s got heat, drama, and emotional moments that actually hit. Nothing feels fake, even when they’re making questionable choices, you kind of get why they do it, and it keeps you invested. I flew through it in basically a couple days, and I was left thinking about the characters long after I closed the book.
If you’re in the mood for a romance that’s messy, fun, and emotional with just the right amount of chaos, this is a solid pick. Perfect for curling up on the couch and just letting yourself get lost in it.

The dedication got me right off the bat:
‘It’s also for the girls who want to f*ck a hot guy in a suit.’
It was so nice to see Karalina and Kayden’s story. He has quietly obsessed over her for years but has to up his game when she leaves her job. I loved the sneaky ways he tried to stay close to her, getting her family to invite him to stay for the weekend was honestly such a smart move 😂 once she sees his sweet personal side, he’s too damn adorable and attractive.
His teasing and banter toward her is so sweet and fun! They both have their d*ckish moments towards each other but there are plenty of cute ones too! Seeing their relationship develop from basically secretly in love enemies/boss & employee to a deep friendship where they have dinner together every night and he brings home her fave chocolate is super cute.
My fave part is when they practically live together, the care they show for one another got my heart completely ❤️ the sexy tension grows and it’s just amazing. There’s so much stress in their lives and it’s nice to see them finally start to feel some peace when around each other.
I was a little disappointed in the dramatic way Kara acted towards the end, I’m glad I’m not the only one who thought that tho as her friends called her out on it too!
It felt a little repetitive having the girl being mad at the guy again but it was refreshing to have her actually also be in the wrong and apologise too.
I love seeing all the previous characters tied in and helping out our main characters. Karalina is a secret (and not so secret) badass and it’s heartbreaking to see her isolate herself. I love that the boys (well mostly V) are supportive too and Kaydan is able to talk to them unlike in previous books.
Some of my favourite scenes:
-Kaydan knocking on her door every 10 minutes to sabotage a date - the desperation 😂
-Arianna calling Oscar a cute nickname and him threatening Kaydan if he ever tells 😂
-Getting interrupted in his office and her hiding under the desk 😜
-Kara’s friends rooting for Kaydan and telling her how amazing he is ❤️
-Kaydan talking to Kara while she’s stuck in a bush so she can’t run away!
This is my fave of the 3! This is mostly thanks to Kaydan, he is just a huge GREEN flag 💚

I received a reviewer's copy of Pitched Love, and I am voluntarily giving my review. Aileen! I don’t know how you keep writing books that just get better and better, but here we are! I had super high hopes for Kayden and Karalina. I’ve been obsessed with them from book one. I didn’t think it was possible, but Pitched Love met every expectation I had, and exceeded it a million times over.

ᢉ𐭩 Karalina is the definition of iron-willed. In previous instalments, she is set up to be the unflappable best friend. You could throw anything at her, and still she remains steady and supportive. She has a steel spine and is unshakable in every situation she finds herself in. However, this is all a mask. In this instalment we get a first-hand view of the walls she has built around herself. The barriers she protects herself with are wide and impenetrable. She has dedicated her whole life to the protection and happiness of the people she cares about. However, cracks begin to show. No one bears the weight of the world on their own. Eventually something has to give. Karalina is a walking, talking advert for: if you don’t take a break, your body will FORCE you to. I knew there was something deeper lurking behind her carefully placed mask, and it broke my heart into tiny little pieces seeing how much she struggled. She kept it together for so long all on her own. She measures her worth by how much she can endure, and it shattered me to pieces. It felt like I was watching a friend working herself to death and all I could do was watch as she shredded herself into nothing. Aileen created such an amazing character in her, I felt every twinge of her back, every muscle spasm and every wave of anxiety she experienced. I was on the sidelines cheering her on the whole time, with my emerald green foam finger, and I 🩷 Karalina shirt on.
ᢉ𐭩 In enters our MMC Kayden. Not to go all Looney Tunes on you but AWOOGA. I’m barking like a dog for this man. He is everything I expected him to be and so much more. I knew he would be stoic and silent, with a heart of gold, but I never realised how deep his affections and love would go. If you like aggressive yearning, then this man has it in abundance. He pines for Karalina like she is his only salvation, the only drop of water in a vast desert. This man is a lighthouse in a storm, a tall forest that protects you from the wind and rain. No matter what disasters may befall, he bears the brunt of it all, a safe harbour to take shelter from whatever you’re running from. However, much like Karalina, he carries the scars of a past that broke him down to nothing. He was left alone in the rubble to rebuild into something bigger and stronger. I’m so down bad for this man, I won’t even try to hide it. He is the absolute standard by which no one will be able to measure.
ᢉ𐭩 Karalina and Kayden’s relationship was built on the foundation of years upon years of longing for one another. The moment Karalina walked into his office, their fates were sealed and their love all but certain. No matter how much they fought it, they fundamentally could not resist the pull they experienced. They were two broken souls orbiting each other, on a collision course that would cause an epochal change to both their lives. No one could be more perfect together in my eyes! They opened up to each other in ways they had never been able to before. They were confidants, friends, soulmates.
ᢉ𐭩 I was so unbelievably excited to see familiar faces in Pitched Love. Seeing Alina, Arriana and Giselle felt like a reunion. I’ve said this in my previous reviews, but Aileen has breathed so much life into these characters. They resemble any friendship group I’ve ever had, it’s a familiarity that warms me to them immeasurably each time I see them. We love women in STEM!! I’m gnawing at the bars of my enclosure for Alina’s book!
ᢉ𐭩 Pitched Love had such a huge impact on me. I laughed, I cried, I gasped. I felt so many things and had the time of my life. This is a story of sacrifice and working yourself so hard for others that you disregard your own health and wellbeing. We may think shouldering all the burden ourselves is the answer, that taking on all the anxiety and worry will save the people around us from feeling the same pain. Pitched Love shows us that it’s not weak to ask for help or to rely on others. Martyrdom isn’t something to be celebrated or encouraged. “Burning yourself alive to keep everyone else warm” is not the answer and just because being strong was the only option in the past, doesn’t mean it’ll be your only option forever. Despite our own inner voices, “Protecting your loved ones by hurting yourself is not a favour to them.” We need to look after ourselves not only for us, but for the people who love us. We are no less important than those around us, and we deserve a safe harbour and a place to rest. We don’t have to weather the storm alone.

🤩 Did I love it? Thoughts? 🤩
I loved it. This was one I had been anticipating for sure. The little teases in the last book about something having happened during Christmas I was dying to know. Once I started reading I realized there were even more mysteries to unravel and I loved it.
I enjoyed getting to see more of Kara’s life outside of just work because it seemed like that was all she was doing, obviously, so it was really nice to be able to meet people in her life and get to know her a little better and see her kind of come into her own. I really enjoyed getting in Kayden’s head because he was so hard to read in the other books being as serious as he was. It's so nice to see what he’s thinking and I really enjoyed him and really liked his character. I loved both of them. I thought they really worked well together. The writing was great. You really see how she’s progressing in her writing style ,the author, as she continues on and I really enjoy seeing that. I love getting to see our characters from the other books too. This book had a lot of emotion and depth too. The humor we got in this was great.
🩵 Would I recommend this Book? 🩵
Yes. I recommend this book along with the whole series. If you are a fan of Office Romances and Boss X Employee this book is for you. If you are looking for an enjoyable read that has heart and spice. This is for you.
This is an interconnected standalone series. This was a great read and I enjoyed it so much.

I’ve been part of Aileen Carter’s team since the very beginning, so seeing her journey and now holding an ARC of Pitched Love in my hands felt surreal. But being on her team doesn’t change how I read or how I feel about the story, this review is completely honest.
What I love most about Aileen’s books is the way she writes characters who feel alive. Kara isn’t a perfect heroine, she’s complicated, full of contradictions, and sometimes her choices frustrated me, but that’s exactly why she felt so real. Reading her story, I often caught myself thinking, “yeah, I’d probably do the same thing,” or “God, I get why she’s torn.” She’s trying to balance ambition, responsibility, and emotions she doesn’t want to admit out loud, and it made me connect with her on a much deeper level than I expected.
And then there’s Kaydan. Honestly, he drove me crazy in the best way. He’s the type of character who makes you want to scream at the page, but at the same time you can’t get enough of him. He’s sharp, demanding, infuriating, but the small moments where his façade slips are the ones that made my heart race. Their tension is constant, it’s not rushed, it’s not exaggerated, it just builds and builds until it almost hurts. I was holding my breath in so many scenes, waiting for something to finally give.
What stood out to me too is how the book doesn’t just focus on romance. It’s also about identity, about carrying too much and pretending you’re fine, about ambition and the cost of it. Kara’s exhaustion, her doubts, even the way she hides her vulnerabilities, it hit me, because it felt so familiar. And the balance between her struggles, her humor, and her attraction to Kaydan made the story feel layered instead of just another office romance.
I read most of it late at night, telling myself “just one more chapter,” and of course, it never was just one. By the time I reached the last pages, I had that mix of satisfaction and frustration, you know, when you’re happy you’ve lived through the whole story but you don’t want it to end yet. That’s how Pitched Love left me: emotionally full, but still craving more.
For me, this book isn’t just about falling in love, it’s about survival, trust, ambition, and finding a way to breathe again when life feels like too much. That’s what makes it stand out, and why I’ll keep thinking about it for a long time.

Pitched Love by Aileen Carter completely wrecked me in the best way possible. This story was emotional, beautifully written, and full of heart. From the very beginning, I was pulled into Kayden and Kara’s world — two people both dealing with pain, trying to find healing, and somehow finding their way to each other in the process.
Kara’s character really stood out to me. She’s strong, but you can feel how guarded she is because of everything she’s been through. Her vulnerability made her so relatable, and watching her slowly open up again felt like watching someone learn how to breathe after being underwater for too long. I loved seeing her growth, the little moments where she started to trust herself and feel more at ease.
And Kayden wow. He was patient, steady, and everything you’d want in a book boyfriend. You could tell from the start how much he cared about Kara, even when she tried to push him away. I loved how he didn’t give up on her, but also didn’t try to “fix” her — he just showed up, again and again, until she was ready to let him in. Their connection felt so real — full of longing, heartbreak, and hope.
I loved the mix of vulnerability, tension, and warmth throughout the book. Aileen Carter did an amazing job showing that love isn’t always simple, but it’s worth fighting for when it’s real. By the end, I was completely invested in their story and didn’t want it to end. If you love emotional, character-driven romances with heart and healing, Pitched Love is definitely one to pick up and easily now one of my favorites by Aileen.

My Thoughts:
I've thoroughly enjoyed the latest two books in this series, and my correspondence with the author has been delightful. Her writing continues to evolve beautifully, and this particular novel brought numerous smiles to my face. I found myself deeply connecting with Katalina's character, especially her endearing stubbornness. The relationship between the characters is truly heartwarming and genuine.
Summary:
Katalina and Kayden have always had feelings for each other, but they’ve kept them buried—after all, he’s her boss. When Katalina unexpectedly comes into some money, she decides it’s time to quit her job and finally pay off her debts. Kayden isn’t happy about her sudden decision and can’t understand why she’s shutting him out.
She takes a trip to visit her family, only to find Kayden on the same flight. When he meets her family, he quickly realizes something isn’t right—Katalina is hiding secrets, and he’s determined to uncover what she’s protecting them from.
When Katalina finally opens up, the truth hits Kayden harder than he ever expected. His reaction breaks her, and in struggling with his own emotions, he pushes her away—hurting her more than he ever meant to. Now, Kayden is desperate to make things right. But as Katalina’s painkiller use comes to an end and her body begins to suffer the consequences, he will need to step up and help her take care of herself so they can have a chance at love.

This is the third book of Aileen’s I have had the privilege of ARC reading. I really enjoyed Pitched Love, with the dynamics between the main characters flowing really well.
Different to the other two books in the series, I liked that Karalina had a darkness to her and secrets rather than the male characters only being morally grey. This to me showed the variety of the author’s imagination.
I felt this book was paced better, being longer than the others in the series. This felt like a full read. I also liked that Karalina’s and Kaydan’s backstories were described more and I felt they had more of an identity as their families made appearances. It was sweet to see where the characters came from and what has contributed to their personalities.
One thing I would’ve liked to have seen more of was description. Kaydan was described as coming from South East London, I would’ve liked to have known from where specifically, similar to Karalina and her roots.
I would’ve liked to see more of the life Karalina keeps hidden as well as her discussing this with her friends.
Pitched Love is an extremely easy read, with well developed characters and enough backstory to sink your teeth into. Great for lovers of workplace romances, forced proximity, obsessed MMC, and a slow burn romance.
Overall rating - 3.75 ⭐️s

Thank you Aileen Carter for a review copy of this book!!
I think this one is the longest in the series so far! I defs was super excited going into it, seeing both Karalina and Kayden in the other books made me want to see them both together. Their banter was so funny 😂 I wish we could have more of the work dynamic in there! I did love how much of a caretaker he turned out to be ❤️ he’s adorable 🥹 I also loved how he was hot boss turned neighbor 😂 A little angsty in that he wanted to refuse his attraction since he was her boss, but it just added to the tension between them!
There was a lot going on though, I did feel like it was a bit much sometimes, but I guess it correlates with who Kara is 🤷🏽♀️ A lot of it made sense, like she needed to work for her fam but also needed a little slice of something for herself. It mad sense but it was also a lot for the plot 😅 Also it did feel a bit draggy in the beginning/middle but once the revelations start popping up it’s like a snowball down a hill!
I do love that they finally got together and how all in they were ❤️ they didn’t have a huge 3rd act break up, but there is a separation period that was needed for reflection and growth ❤️
The spice! I think this one had the least amount out of all the books! Very slow burn, but 🔥🔥
❤️❤️❤️❤️

First of all, I would like to thank Aileen Carter for giving me the opportunity to read and review an ARC of 'Pitched Love' in exchange for an honest review. All opinions expressed in this review are my own.
As a fan of the previous two books in the series, I was really excited to read this, and it didn't disappoint!
The heroine is strong-willed and independent, and I found myself really relating to her tendency to keep her worries to herself so as not to burden those she loves. The hero is protective (sometimes a bit too much!), but in a way that’s quite endearing.
The story was actually funnier than I expected, with plenty of light moments balancing out some of the tougher themes like addiction and workplace harassment, which were handled with care and respect. The MMCs in this series just keep getting better, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint.
The plot kept me hooked all the way through, and there were a few twists that genuinely surprised me. There are a couple of spicy scenes too, but nothing overly intense – perfect if you prefer your romance on the milder side.
All in all, a heartfelt, funny, and engaging read that left me looking forward to the next in the series!

1) the Oscar we got in books 2 and 3 should have been the Oscar we got in his book because I love him
2) this book review is purely based on vibes because I actually loved the story, but this definitely needs editing
3) I liked the addiction representation. It wasn’t just flowery or anything. It was raw without getting too deep
4) third act breakup pissed me off in this one. Honestly it was both their faults but it was heavily implied it was all Kaydans fault
5) the next two books main characters seem to be out of left field. Like Sonja and adon while mentioned a couple times aren’t as well known and literally book five main characters, the fmc was briefly mentioned and the mmc not at all. I want to see Alina’s story for sure (which I know author said hers will be multiple books), I want Karl’s story which I’m sure is Sabrina, hell I even want Vaughns story. And I definitely want Artems story which I’m wondering, could that be who Alina ends up with???
6) okay I looked inti the authors website and now I see that secret signs and secret bets is actually a new series that’s still set in the same world? So that makes sense. And that this series still has another but it doesn’t say who it is. And I also see Karl’s book will be the start of a new series too. So basically everything I wanted we will eventually get

ARC Review of ‘Pitched Love’ by Aileen Carter.
I have read every book Aileen has brought out so far! And all of them are amazing!
This book being a bit more serious compared to the first two though.
We follow Katalina who works for Kaydan. She has a high demanding job and seriously works so hard!
They don’t see eye to eye, yeah right🫣.
When she hands in her resignation, things pull up from there with Kaydan finally opening his eyes on why Katalina is leaving.
Both characters have so much emotional baggage, they are hardworking because of this, to the point where one must seriously think about their health.
Their chemistry was nice, lots of innuendos, where I just wished someone just scream ‘I like you’. I was so happy for them when it finally came down to it, and that business proposal🤣🤣🤣 what a hoot!
As for their 🌶️, the 🌶️ wasn’t that much, which I would have loved to see tbh, but it could be due to the storyline to keep it low key.
The friend circle remains close knit, and love that!
I enjoyed this book, please read the trigger warning though.
Stay healthy everybody! And listen to your body!

This was easily my favorite of the Love Series so far! Aileen Carter knocked it out of the park (pun intended ).
Karalina and Kayden are both amazing, complex characters. They’re not perfect—and that’s what makes them so real. Both carry the weight of tragedy and heartbreak, and it shows in the way they move through the world: Karalina, strong for everyone except herself; Kayden, working nonstop to fill an inner emptiness. Their slow-burn, workplace romance is heartfelt and emotional, but also has a lighter tone and more humor than the previous books—still with those perfectly placed angsty moments!
I also loved the continued focus on friendship. The group of girlfriends and their ride or die connection adds so much warmth and depth to the series.
Carter doesn’t shy away from deeper issues—burnout, drug abuse (not the main characters)—but balances them beautifully with hope, healing, and humor. The writing is heartfelt, the pacing perfect, and the emotional beats land every time.
I can’t wait for Alina’s story next—she’s been such an intriguing, mysterious presence since book one!
I received an arc from the author for an honest review.

Aileen certainly left the best until last in my opinion.. only I'm sat here hoping that this isn't the end. I need Alinas love story.
Karalinas character is so complex and I love that. It made her real. Her flaws, her strengths, weaknesses, past, present it was all laid out bare for us to witness and yeah she felt so relatable. She reminded me of myself, that sheer determination to be independent and to never show weakness that's me to a tee.
Did anyone else just want to bang Kaydan and Karalinas head together and tell them to get it on already lol. However their love was certainly instalove it was also a slow burn for sure as they both tried to deny how they felt.
What I have truly enjoyed with these books, it's never been just about the romance. There's so much more to each book this one included. There's humour, self-discovery, growth, friendships, and family and more.
I certainly recommend these books especially if you like a slice of spice
[ although it's not too much ]. Romance readers come one come all and you'll be hooked.

Pitched Love follow the building romance between Karolina and her controlling boss Kayden, as hinted at in the precious book Hacked Love.
Karolina is a heartbreaking and relatable character; a hard worker toiling through a difficult situation made more difficult by the (usually well-intentioned) people around her. Her character arc heavily featuring her learning to relax was so gratifying to read.
Having read the previous two books of the series, I am delighted to have read the growth in Aileen Carter's writing skills; the snarky narrative voice has grown sharper and the backstory of her leading lady had grown bolder. We still get appearances from previous couples as well as hints to our next couple, but I like that our already-matched couples have gained notes of familarity; they're settling into their relationships in a charming way. This book is also, if I recall correctly, the first time character's families are introduced, and reading Kayden have to navigate a family as well as all of Karolina's friends was adorable and funny.
A huge thank you to Aileen Carter for the advanced copy, I have loved reading these books and am super excited for more!!

Pitched Love is the third book in The Love Series by Aileen Carter. Book one follows Ari and Oscar, while book two follows Giselle and Valeris. Book three focuses on Karalina and Kayden in a workplace romance.
I really enjoyed the story and the direction that Aileen took in this book. It had depth, emotion, and was actually really funny as well! The story was well paced, though Karalina and her repetitive destructive behaviour did start to grate on my nerves towards the end 😂 I especially loved the yearning in this book, Kayden was so incredibly smitten and it was so sweet. I loved seeing more of the friendship between the girls, as well as more of the friendship between the boys too!
I’ve have genuinely enjoyed this entire series, and I will definitely be keeping an eye out for book 4! Alina has really intrigued me throughout the other books so I’m really excited to see where her story goes!
If you’re looking for a fun, easy read, this is the series for you! Thank you so much to Aileen Carter for the arc of Pitched Love 💚

Thank you Aileen Carter for the ARC!
This book has:
• forced proximity
• office romance to neighbors
• slow burn to spicy
• MC protector
• FC independent overthinker
• both secretly fell hard
The third book in this series was a slow burn and I could not put down! The main characters secretly lust after each other, but they keep holding back because they don’t want to cross that boss and employee line. The author shocked me with a new character. I yelled “NO!” when Kayden opened the door!!!
(If you know, you know)
The protectiveness of Kayden toward Karalina with his bad boss exterior - yes, please! At times, I wanted to be a character in the story and yell “Wake up, Kara! What are you waiting for?”
I loved how the writer intertwined these two characters. Her writing has improved and I can’t wait to see what she writes next!

This is a heart warming, slow burn romance 💗 and the 3rd book in the Love Series.
They are both recovering from traumatic pasts, there is an age gap, forbidden love (as they are colleagues - boss and employee 😉) longing, a protective MMC, there's a decent sprinkling of banter and spice 😉🔥 and a HEA 🫶
I had a fab time catching up with the gang 🤗 🤪 and I luved learning more about Kara, she is quite the complex character and is such a badass - chapter 22! iykyk!! 😂
There was so much suspense! Will they / won't they??! 🫠😉
There was also a few twists that I didnt see coming! 😂 I laughed, cried and gasped outloud while I was reading this book! 😂 This is a fabulous story, a quick and enjoyable read 📚 I luv Aileen's writing style, she is fast becoming one of my favourite authors 💗 I now want my very own Kayden!! 😂🤪😂

H- experienced but did not come across as a MH, truly loves the h, good grovel, interesting character
h- experienced, hard worker, loyal
safe read- no cheating, no OWD or real OMD (she does not entertain their flirting/ turns down the date), no other partners after they meet (4ish years of mutual pining), HEA
Excellent emotional journey
Loved the side characters/friends
Probably will continue the series
Some steam but very slow burn, really really enjoyed this book and the deep emotional development as well as sweet/funny moments from the characters in the first books
A few typos and missing words do pull you out of the story momentarily but wow it was a fantastic read and I will overlook that
I absolutely am loving the Hs from this author in this series- no MHs or gross behavior- just loyalty and growth

This is the slow burn I didn't know I needed! I usually get bored with a slow burner, if I'm honest. But not this one! The pining, the banter, and the delicious tension keep you riveted. The rich back story and the twists and turns keep you interested until the main characters finally FINALLY give in!
The 3rd act is treated differently than most, which is nice. I really appreciate this friend group and how they support each other. More so I love the strange assortment of men that gravitate to each other even though they act like they don't really love each other, they definitely do in their own unique way!
Looking forward to the next one and learning more about Aline's wild tale!! Keep 'em coming!!
Favorite line: "His expression is enigmatic and he has the aura of a panther."

Putting my thoughts of this book into words, is REALLY hard, but only because I loved it!
This was something new that I haven't read from Aileen before. There was insane depth to the characters and everything going in in their everyday life.
Through the books we get to see their struggles and how they deal with it, also what types of consecvenses some actions has and how you get out of that placement. (This book includes serious drug abuse)
And the main characters, ugh, I love them!!! The are in so much denial and everything and they just want eachother close while also being really stubborn. I need this book indected into my soul.
Thany you Aileen for the ARC, I'm looking forward to many more!!

And the main characters, ugh, I love them!!! The are in so much denial and everything and they just want eachother close while also being really stubborn. I need this book indected into my soul.
Thany you Aileen for the ARC, I'm looking forward to many more!!

Thanks to Aileen Carter for sending me an ARC of her third book!
This is my favourite in the series so far! I feel that this book was more developed in its plot and it kept me hooked so I flew through it in a few days.
It was great to get more in depth character profiles and learn about their pasts and see their relationships with people other than the friend group or each other.
Also the FMC Kara is the morally grey one in this story which is now! The MMC is the yearning one and we all love a man who yearns!
But there is still what Id say is classic Aileen features in this book which makes it still hers and its great to see!
Overall I very much enjoyed this and hope to continue to support Aileen and her characters!

I’ve been so excited for this one! Karalina has intrigued me since the first two books. I just knew there was more to her - she’s always felt a little darker and deeper than the sunshine FMCs we’ve met before. Finally getting her story (and her dynamic with Kaydan!) did not disappoint.
And Kaydan with his dark, broody, touch her and die energy whilst simultaneously being a sweetie for Karalina. Be still my beating heart!
This book is sweet, steamy, and features a delightful slow-burn, but it also dives into some heavier themes with so much care.
Karalina and Kaydan are so layered and I found myself completely rooting for them the entire time.
I enjoyed the previous books, but this one? I loved it!

I devoured this in about 12 hours. After reading the first 2 books of this series, I was so excited to ARC book 3 and I wasn’t disappointed.
Our FMC: Karalina is strong, determined, intelligent and works to hard. Karelina is so used to being the one people lean on, the one who protects everyone else, she forgot what it means to be protected and taken care of.
Our MMC: Kaydan is smart, handsome, over bearing and secretly obsessed.
I love this story and this whole series. They are so wonderfully written, Laugh Out Loud funny and has so much angst and emotion, you can’t help but be hooked by them. I can’t wait to see what happens next in The Love Series 🥰

The 3rd in the love series focusing on Kayden and Karalina and their hidden love for each other. These guys are cute but secretive and over the book heartbreaking secrets emerge that explain why they are the way they are. I did get a little bored of waiting for them to get together but when they did…spicy 💜 with lots of ups and downs as always a good read and would recommend to anyone. I look forward to reading the next book.
I was gifted an ARC read in exchange for my honest review and thank you for that opportunity

I’ve read all of the Love Series, and dare I say this one may be my favorite!! The slow-burn between Karalina and Kaydan created so much tension and I LOVED IT.
Once again, we see this group of friends coming together and just being girls together. It reminds me of my own friend group🫶🏻
I’m also so thankful for the representation of substance abuse and its effects on THE FAMILY. No one truly understands that sort of pain unless you’ve been through it yourself. I think Aileen handled it with so much grace and respect!

When a business mogul meets his match, sparks fly. Everything about these two is precise, intentional, and perfectly complementary. The only thing sits as barrier is thier situation as coworkers. Opening up feels risky, and vulnerability doesn’t come easily to either of them.
At first, their interactions feel strictly business, but as the walls slowly come down, you really start to see their softer sides. It’s heartwarming to watch their connection deepen, especially with the support of their close friends. And I absolutely loved the pitching idea, absolutely genius!
