Werewolf Alpha of the Coeur d’Alene Lake Pack, Liam Northman, is pretending to be human. He is in need of a den to lay low for a few months, and the only place that will give him a short-term lease is located right in the middle of human territory. Werewolves and humans stay separate, and for good reason. He’s dangerous. When he sees a human woman cornered by a suitor, he can’t help but step in. His protective instincts have always been overwhelming, but this soft-spoken beauty is doing things to his inner animal that make no sense at all. Humans and werewolves do not mix, and especially Alphas and submissives, but here he is, risking exposure to spend time with the beguiling woman who is off-limits for an animal like him. As a new Alpha, Liam is supposed to choose a mate that is arranged for him, but all he can think about is Nory. If she finds out what he is, she will run. If her people find out, they will banish him back to werewolf territory. If his people find out, she could be hunted. He is supposed to be an Alpha who puts his Pack first, but the more time he spends with Nory Hunter, the more he thinks his entire species could use a change.

Nory Hunter wishes she could be normal. Being a shy introvert has always made her feel like she is an outsider, but one chance meeting with a tall, broody, sexy stranger has her rethinking everything. Around him, she isn’t at war with herself. Around him, her life makes more sense. Around him, she is finally finding her voice. Too bad his eyes are too bright, and his voice too snarly to pass for human. He sticks out here, and she knows exactly why people get out of his way if they see him coming. She isn’t allowed to be with a werewolf, so why does she keep finding ways to run into him?

Liam and Nory are both on a crash-course to destruction, and everything falls apart when their worlds collide. Is loyalty enough to keep Liam’s Pack together? New Pack, new universe, new rules, new territory lines. Don’t miss this exciting first installment in T. S. Joyce’s brand-new Same series.

****Content Explicit spicy love scenes, naughty language, territory line disputes, some violence, and piles of sexy shifter secrets. Intended for mature audiences.

This was so good on vibes alone. It read almost like a novella because there was very little background and world-building, but it still worked for me. If you like wolf-shifter books, this is such a good, light option.

There are a lot of questions that didn't get answered, like But maybe it gets explained in later books, seeing as this is an interconnected stand-alone series.

It had a lot of the werewolf/wolf-shifter elements that I love, but I wish we had more shifting and got to see more of the pack developing.

Iddkkkkk it wasn't perfect by any means, but it was still such a fun read for me!!!!!!!

4.77 stars average rating? How?

Look, I knew this was going to be mediocre from the synopsis but I've had a hell of a few days and I needed something that required no brain power at all. It was much worse than expected.

Many things pissed me off but you know what was the worst? The heroine being such an insipid fucking doormat. She acts as though being shy makes it physically impossible for her to stand up for herself or speak up when something is wrong. I'm shy. I'm prone to placating and people pleasing. But there are limits. You don't grow by hiding inside your comfort zone. You can't passively wait for men to set boundaries and solve problems for you. You need to protect yourself.

Every time she went "oh my gosh" I rolled my eyes. Every time she saved something for her memory box because every day since meeting the hero is wonderful, I sneered. The traditional gender roles aggravated me. He's worried about what kind of life he can provide for her. She's just longing to get back in the kitchen and feed these hungry menfolk. And her role in the conflict resolution? Let's just say it centres around home making.

When she emotionally confessed her virginity... well I wasn't annoyed with her so much as with him for being into it. I was annoyed with her for all the "love of my life" and "touched my soul" crap though. Babe. You've hung out like three times and that wasn't your soul he was touching.

Like... for fuck's sake.

Liams's pack seems to be unlike any other we've read before. They are tough, strong, dislike each other, and nearly uncontrollable. Until Liam accidentally meets a human woman who has the power of an Omega wolf: she can calm the untamed and give them a little peace. But still, she's a human and absolutely off limits.

I loved this! Can't wait for Nate and Delta's story!!

I love T.S. I read a lot of books, but she is one author who's an automatic buy for me. I love the start to the new series and can't wait to see where the Rogue Pack goes from here because I know the elders are going to be a problem throughout it and i can't wait for the side characters to get their stories.

Liam and Nory

I love these side stories. You never know what you're going to get, but you know its going to be good! This first book just warmed my heart, and makes it long for the next story, just to see what the knuckleheads get up to next, and see how these boys grow, and get to love them. I loved it, and I know you'll love it too!

Liam and Nory😍

Same thing is the start of a brand new series by TS Joyce and I absolutely devoured it❣️

Nory is human but very shy and submissive. Liam is the new Alpha of his pack but is trying to find accommodation in the “humans” area. Witnessing the interaction between Nory and a very pushy man, Liam intervenes - causing Nory to break out of her shy shell🥰 However, there are rules and reasons why werewolves and humans don’t interact with each other, but they soon discover some things are more important than rules😳

Loved the new pack and can’t wait to find out more about the other members🙌

I don’t understand the high ratings for this book. It’s written poorly. None of it makes sense. It reads like a child wrote it. I’ve read some other books from this authors years ago and I don’t recall it being this bad. I can’t get past any of it to enjoy the book. For example, how the hell did Jackson get ahold of a number with the same last 4 as Liam’s? And how does he know so much of pack life if humans are afraid of warewolves? How is Nory such a pushover and afraid of her own shadow? She should seek help from a mental professional. It’s not normal is be afraid of everything but not something that should be dangerous. Her naïveté is grating. I’m going to stop before I write an essay on how terrible this book is.

Great start to new series. The H is shifter, controlled by others and when he meets the human h, something changes in him. She's a rather ordinary human who falls for him knowing it will lead to heartbreak. Loved their story.

Same Thing

I'm liking this shifter world where humans know about wolf shifters. Of course, humans have pushed them onto land like reservations and the wolves are just as bullyish to each other as humans are to them. Patriarchy is like a bacteria that infects every damn thing.

I like the idea of this,

“Omegas were a balm to the soul, and animals around them naturally grew protective of her aura. They were also almost non-existent. Dominants would feel the need to keep her happy. They would be more peaceful around her to maintain her smile and easy spirit.”

I feel like if Omega energy exists in RL it's been almost completely obliterated by dominants who are bullies. This may be true in the book too.

One of my favorite things about this author is the way she embraces the awkwardness of her characters. And everyone is awkward sometimes. The MMC the dominant, powerful one who has it all together but then his wolf decides the MFC is the one,

““Yeah, and then I realized I’ve lost my damn mind, and I tried to walk away, but the wolf decided I needed to set the coffee beside the door so you could wake up to a treat, and then I got pissed off because I am the boss of me. I am the boss,” he repeated, eyes blazing. “So…” He gestured to the empty plastic cup.”

So he kicked the cup and made a mess and couldn't stand to leave the mess. The whole interaction is simple and sweet and vulnerable and so revealing - it cuts through so much human fear and layers of societal rules and behaviors in the most poetically comical way. Just delightful.

Mixing in some omegaverse in between a Lily Morton binge, so this was a nice change of pace. Short read (192 pages) and first one for me by this author. Liam, new alpha of the Coeur d'Alene Lake pack in Idaho, is struggling to get his pack on track after a long time of disarray, plus the pressure from the Elders to make a suitable mate match. Quiet, introverted Nory meets Liam at the apartment complex they both share when Liam saves her from an overzealous creep. Cue the alpha being attracted to the wrong type trope (Nory is human and therefore off limits).

Anyway, quick read and would give another of this author's book a try.

I love that this was a different type of Werewolf book. It wasn't about an alpha who bullied his mate before he realized she was important, or knocked her up then rejected her only to "force" her to come back to him.

This was about a man who did what he thought was right and was punished by society as a result. A man who felt like he was drowning while he was trying to find the way to not only save himself, but those he cared about. It was about a woman who found her voice because he gave her strength just by truly seeing her. It was about a couple who realizes that together, they are far more than they are alone. A couple who can use the rules that others made to keep them down to their advantage and use it to lift not just themselves up, but those they care about to.

I really hope the next book lives up to this one.

Same Thing - Liam & Nory

Same Thing - Liam & Nory

‘He was hers. As their releases pulsed on, she had such a moment of clarity. He was hers. He’d stayed gentle for her. He’d taken care of her. He’d taught her. He’d taken her body and made it his, and she knew what that feeling in her chest was. There was a bond between them now that was bigger than before. He really was hers.’

TS Joyce starts this new series with a thrilling and romantic werewolf tale.

Liam is embroiled in a territory takeover when he ousts the Alpha unexpectedly. Needing, but not wanting, a mate, he is drawn to a human, even as he tries to avoid his need for her.

Submissive Nory finds it hard to involve herself with humans, so feeling genuine calmness around Alpha wolf Liam creates turmoil in both their worlds.

As always, we feel the misfits crazy but yearning hearts, as this pack becomes one!

Loved Every Word

I already love this new series and its characters. Nory is human and being stalked by her neighbor in the apartment complex. But there's a new tenant moving in and Nory can't take her eyes off of him. He comes to her aid and that's when she figures out he's a werewolf and an alpha. Liam tries to keep his distance because she is human but both are drawn to each other. Eventually she meets his pack and ends up winning them over. Until the elders arrive and try to kill Nory and two other pack members. All hell breaks loose and Liam is left without a pack. Little does he know it but Nory is an Omega. She soothes his pack and is the fixer. This is another awesome story by TS Joyce and I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

This had a very clunky start. The writing was really basic and jilted as everybody was introduced, and while I usually find her awkward characters endearing, this time around it was just annoying. The conflict comes from outside our MCs in the form of werewolf politics, which probably contributed to my lack of excitement for this one. I am not a politicking fan, which is obviously a me problem, not this book’s problem.
It has a strong ending and our MC finally steps up, but up until that point I found this to be entirely underwhelming. I feel like we know nothing about these characters except that Nory is chronically shy, which we got told every second paragraph.
It sets up for bigger and better in the next book, but this establishing one is not making the favourites list.

always a great read

I have read over 100 books from the author and I don’t think I have disliked a single one. This book is different from all the other series but just as good. I can’t wait to dive into the next one. I feel like I missed a story though. How did this pack get to this point? What’s with the Elders hanging control and not mixing with humans? I am assuming it’s a different universe than the others- None of the characters match any I remember so maybe it’s unrelated. Definitely going to go through all the series and make sure I didn’t miss any of her books and if I have read them all I will be impatiently waiting for the next amazing series by her. Can’t wait to read book two of this series in the mean time- ie tomorrow.

Like the start of the new series

I enjoyed the characters in the story. I especially like how the Omega had the powers she did. There should be a way to put the elders ruling in question especially considering he was basing it off of prejudice and favoritism. He should also be reported for what he did to the human. I took off a star because after all that time he never told her she was an Omega and explain what that represents and entails. I look forward to the coming adventures with these rogues!

This author writes shifters that bring the chaos and are a bit crazy really well. This new series has that, but for some reason it also had sort of a quiet tone too. You could tell the guys and Delta really wanted a "home" for the pack to work and it wasn't. The one night where Nory was there, it showed them what was possible, made them fight for it and made them, after a few minutes of thinking jump at the chance that Liam and Nory were offering. I can't wait to see what becomes of them all!

Rules are meant to be broken

Life of a werewolf is full of rules and a strict hierarchy that can be stifling and ignores free will. Enter a forbidden romance/love with a human and the rules fly out the window. The love Liam and Nory have for each other and Liam’s pack’s support of his human, causes the small pack to be disbanded. But love conquers all and the stage is set and new rules are made to form beginning of the Rogue Pack. I look forward to reading the next book to see if this group of rogue wolves will thrive or it will be their undoing.

Fast-paced with an HEA

New series, same great storytelling. Nory is a shy little introvert (probably neurospicy) human just trying to exist while being stalked by a jerk who won't take the hint. New neighbor shows up and sets the jerk straight, or so we think, setting off a chain of events which eventually lead to a Happily Ever After, at least for our introverted Nory. Can't say the same for the stalker jerk. This is the first book in a new series, so buckle up buttercup!

#cteamstrikesagain ❤️❤️❤️

I inhaled this book in a day. Literally couldn’t put it down - loved the plot, loved the characters - 10/10 from me ❤️ the story felt a little different than the other series you’ve written and I’m looking forward to the change.
The only thing that was missing was dandelions and short shorts. Loved the worm reference though. Bring on the next instalment soon, please, Alpha. Lots of love. The end. X

Just the sweetest of stories for Nory

Oh my goodness, this was such a sweetheart of a story. There is a human female Nory that is so shy that she hides from most things except her bestie Alese. Nory is being harassed by a guy named Jackson. One day Liam, alpha wolf, steps in the way to protect Nory. A bond is starting to form for these two, but in this world the wolf elders are against it. This is a sweet and light romance. There is a happy ending. Read On!

absolutely LOVED IT!

What a great start to a series! T I’ve said it before I’ve loved all your books and the stories just keep getting better! Nory is such a spitfire! She may be an introvert but she happens to be much stronger than she even realizes. Liam is a lost Alpha who wants to make his pack better. If he can keep Nory by his side he has that change…human and werewolf will it work? Only time will tell. I can’t wait for Nate and Delta’s story.

Wow so good

I swear T.S. Joyce could write a newspaper and it would be awesome and funny. This book is about a werewolf pack that is just establishing itself and the Alpha is attracted to his human neighbor. The elders are up to something and the floundering pack faces hard choices. Bow down to their rules or go rogue and make some of their own. Great first book in this series.

omega found

Great start to this series. A new alpha stumbles upon an omega in a human. He finds her struggling with a stalker that just won’t leave her alone. The alpha discovers his true nature and embraces it as he protects an omega. His pack finds their bond with her help. Great read with intrigue sprinkled throughout the story. Enjoy!
