Easton Island is the continuing saga of one woman’s journey from incredible loss to finding a past she knew nothing about, including a family who both embraces and fears her and a charming island that draws her in.
“An inspirational women’s fiction series for lovers of family sagas, friendship, mysteries, and clean romance!”
When Brett’s young son Tristan arrives on Easton Island, the Easton family rallies to welcome him with open arms. For Morgan, her grandmother Elizabeth, and brother it’s a chance to smooth the boy’s tumultuous losing his mother, learning his father is alive, and suddenly being thrust into a family he never knew he had.
Morgan recognizes Tristan’s grief all too well and vows to help him find his footing in this unfamiliar world. But not everyone is prepared for the ripple effects of the boy’s arrival. Quinn Schultz, Brett’s girlfriend and Morgan’s closest friend, struggles to see where she fits in as the Easton family closes ranks around the child.
While Brett throws himself into fatherhood, Quinn feels the distance widening, threatening not only her relationship with the man she’s fall in love with, but her place in Morgan’s life as well.
Tristan will need all the help and support he can get to navigate his new life in a place so very different from where he grew up. Will Quinn’s reluctance derail her relationship with not only her boyfriend, but her best friend?
Book 15 in the Easton Family Saga is a page turning mystery with a small town Lake Huron Michigan setting and relatable characters. The story flows and plot twists keeps the reader engaged. Hope Callaghan’s style includes a character list and tidbits from the previous stories to refresh the reader's memory of past events. With a limited attention span this reader enjoys Callaghan’s writing style: short paragraphs, limited description passages which are interspersed with dialog.
One day at a time is the theme of this story - for Tristan, Brett, Morgan, Jason, Prissy, Hailey Varum and Greg. Foreshadowing has this reader wanting more, especially the relationship between Brett and Quinn, now that Brett’s ten year old intrepid, adventuresome son Tristan is living on the island. The big question is: What will happen next with Jason – Morgan’s ex-husband?
Having experienced a private cooking lesson for a party of six, I enjoyed the chapter with the private cooking lesson by Chef Gusto. Recipes for One-Pan Pizza Chicken and Carrot Cake are included.
The family is home on Easton Island and enjoying the newest member of the household, Tristan, Brett’s newly discovered son, a bundle of energy! Unfortunately for Morgan, her violent ex, Jason, has gotten out of prison and hopefully will stay far away in Tampa, Florida. She’s staying with her Policeman boyfriend, Wyatt, for now, just to be safe. Meanwhile, she’s having lots of fun with Tristan; sledding, snowmobiling and building snowmen! The fun, family saga continues!
I enjoyed this book, as I have all of this series, up until the ending. There are just too many loose ends that need to be tied up to make this a complete book with a satisfactory ending. And the next one won’t come out until next January? I can’t give this a higher rating when it feels so incomplete. But if you don’t mind waiting a year for the next installment of this series, go for it.
Easton family saga continues with some surprising twists and turns - when the past catches up, the future is hopeful, but still a little uncertain. Read on for this next installment of the trials and tribulations of the Eastons and their close knit circle of friends. I really like the characters and how they are coming into their own and expanding their presence in these pages.
The Easton Island series is definitely worth reading! The family dynamics are very interesting and the characters are really fun. The arrival of an unexpected son causes a lot of tension between the family. As the story unfolds it becomes apparent that they are all involved in the family dynamics. As they try to make sense of their relationships they endure unexpected changes within. Add an inmate who was released to the story and what could possibly happen next.
The next installment in the Easton Island series. This story gives us a glimpse into Tristan, Brett's son with his first wife, of whom he was unaware until the end of the last book. The story does a nice job of integrating him into life with the other characters. As usual, there are significant cliffhangers.
When I open a new Hope Callaghan book, I know I’m in for a treat! This series is an absolute delight. There is a bit of mystery and conflict, with loving family and friends who always stand by each other. I hope there are many more books to come in this series! Definitely a feel-good read! Highly recommended!
What a great book this was. It brought the family together and we got to know a little bit more about them. It’s always nice when an author shows the character more. We’d previously known Brett., But not much about him. So I think the spotlight goes to him in this story can’t wait for the next book.
Book 15 of Easton Island Son Shine was fun to read with a bit of anxiety. Tristan is an awesome kid who loves everything about the island. Brett didn’t know he had a son from his ex but when he shows up with his uncle he learns that Brett is his father and he will be living there. A happy ending and looking forward to the next book in this series.
You left me high and dry😊 Hope your writing always gets every character energized and involved in the story from the beginning!! This book is no different! I can't wait to read the next one💜

Hope Callaghan has again hit it out of the park with the Easton Island series. I just finished Son Shine and it is a wonderful book with great characters with trials and tribulations of normal people!
Morgan has a new nephew and mystery. Both are interwoven into a enjoyable story. Add the intrigue of Morgan's ex husband and I felt compelled to finish the book. I am loot forward to the next installment of Easton Island.
