Aquila
Nobody Wanted me around; I was an outcast, and I didn't fit in. Abused by the one person meant to protect me, I fled, Living on the streets, bouncing between shelters and selling my body for drugs. I was alone, but I was managing to survive.

When a chance encounter brings someone into my life who sees me, not the homeless addict, and everything begins to change. For the first time, I can see the possibility of something more than just surviving. Of healing. Of Love

Levi
Ranked among the top twelve brain surgeons in North America, I dedicated my life to my work. Alone by choice, driven by precision, I had no time for distractions. Work hard, sleep harder was my mantra.

But in a single moment, everything changed. I hit a man with my car, a handsome young stranger who would alter the course of my life. With nowhere else to go, I brought him home with me to recover, thinking it was the right thing to do.

Then he broke a vase from which an ancient power was unleashed. An ancient being desperate for a vessel. Suddenly, my mother's stories make perfect sense, and I find myself entangled in something far beyond science or logic.

A war is coming, and he is at the center of it.

He may be the key to saving the world... Or the flame that burns it all.

I was blown away by this story. Aquila’s journey from trauma and survival to hope and healing is written with such honesty that it broke my heart and put it back together again. The chemistry between him and Levi is powerful, tender, and beautifully complex. I didn’t expect the supernatural twist, but it blended seamlessly with the emotional depth. This book is unlike anything I’ve read—haunting, heartfelt, and brilliant.
