I enjoyed this short fantasy, Halloween read bout a witch/vampire. Armisha was that girl and she proved it.

I know this isn't her normal genre, and I appreciate the effort. This one just didn't land for me. It fell flat for me. She went through all of that to still have to live normal?

She knew what she wanted, what she had to do to get it & was willing to do whatever it takes. You can’t be mad at it.
This was a quick, entertaining time.

Absolutely enjoyed Bloodween!!
I would share my favorite quotes but they would spoil the book! Highly recommend scanning the playlist and reading along while reading it set the mood so much more!
I hope that she dips more into the genre as this was such a fun short read!

This was such a good spicy Halloween novella. I really enjoyed sitting in the villain era. Sometimes as a reader, I'm expecting the cookie cutter Happily Ever After, but then I'm pleasantly surprised when a book just isn't that. I really think this was a great introduction to a fantasy/paranormal jam. Very well done.

Very much a plot twist and I didn’t expect Armi to come through. I was expecting a different ending with her falling in love and sticking with the original plan to keep the man but she held it down and kept her friendship alive.

This was the perfect start to my Halloween reads. I love a bad bitch and didn’t choose love over power. I really enjoyed this and can’t wait to dive into more Bella Jay!

Full transparency: I experience some anxiety when authors experiment in other genres. In no way does that mean they shouldn’t. I’m just acknowledging that I really enjoy and sometimes believe I prefer when things stay the same.

Armisha is in the midst of changing her life for the better. But, first, she’s enjoying the night before Halloween with her best friend, Renna. They’re at a costume party but their good time is interrupted by Renna’s boyfriend, Dorian. Armi is trying to be patient but, whatever the mess is between these two, it’s really infringing on her mood and her plans. Agreeing to shenanigans that include switching costumes, Armi is trying to enjoy the night before she has to get down to business. Imagine her surprise when she’s snatched up and comes to, only to find herself tied to a chair and face-to-face with Dorian. Obviously, this throws a wrench in her plans. But… where there’s a will, there’s a way. And, Armi absolutely has the will to go through with her plans.
Bloodween is short, spicy, paranormal, and smacks of danger. It’s just enough for spooky season without disrupting your ability to sleep at night. Hey- THIS IS NOT A ROMANCE! But it IS a good time!

This was cute. I will say Miss Bella Jay can definitely have a future in fantasy should she want one. I greatly enjoy her writing. I also love how she came up with spells and terms for the different witches and their levels.
Armisha was all about herself from jump. She started the book on a mission and saw it through to the end.
With novellas it’s tough to fit a lot in a short amount of pages, so for me I didn’t really buy into the struggle Armisha had when it came to her decision on Dro and Valek. I didn’t really wonder what she would do. I just knew because the connection between them never felt that strong even if he chose her. But I think it may have been meant to feel one-sided cause Armisha was cold hearted forreal lol.
Definitely enjoyed the spice.

Sacrifice Are Made
Regardless of the form of life you live, men are going to cheat🤭.
Armisha had one goal and one goal only and that was to become part of the “The Crimson Witches of the Blood Coven” by any means necessary. What she wasn’t expecting was the fall for the person or thing that was the sacrifice ~ Dorian/Verak. She said she would not be the weakest like of the Coven. She was also wanting to prove Eira wrong and make Master Vale proud..
Now my question is, what does the future hold for her and Renna who was the original sacrifice.
Though this is a new to me author and was my first read by the author, I enjoyed this. A prime example of nothing or no one will get in my way of what needs to be done.

Armisha…whew! Yeah talk about treacherous! She had a mission and she was going to complete it by all means necessary! One change in events changed all of her plans and boy oh boy there was no holding back once she made up her mind. Her best friend’s boyfriend kidnapped her thinking it was one thing, turned out it was a whole bunch of secrets that were about to get exposed. Betrayals were at an all time high in this one. But in this case Armisha had no choice, her hand was forced. On the flip side of it, at least she had herself a good time before it all ended! My girl got got a permanent memory of that night for sure 😮💨😮💨😮💨🪭🪭🪭

For this to be one of Bella Jay’s first fantasy books to see the eyes of readers it was really good. I’m so used to happy endings and the couples working out that the stray from tradition was nice, (even tho my lover girl heart wanted Dorian to somehow come back to life and they rule together), Armisha was all about herself and her transformation and I can’t be mad at it since Bella clearly said this wasn’t a love story. I hope to see more in this genre this really hit the spot for spooky season!

Ok Bella Jay in your fantasy bag!
This was a taboo good time. I haven't read fantasy in years and this was a great way to get my feet wet and read about some spooky witchy vibes.
Armisha has tunnel vision for Bloodween and nothing or no one was going to stop her from achieving what she set out to.
I'm not gonna lie now I was a little skeptical at first but Bella Jay is a great writer and I enjoy her work so naturally it didn't take long for me to lock in.
The story was good and kept me engaged. It was dark and messy and forbidden but I enjoyed it.
This was a taboo good time. I haven't read fantasy in years and this was a great way to get my feet wet and read about some spooky witchy vibes.

Quite the novella filled with magic, secrets, betrayal, and rituals. Imagine being a witch of a special bloodline and having to keep it concealed. Armisha has been living in the mortal world doing just that. Now it’s her time to perform the ritual that solidifies her bloodline status. The only problem is that things do not go according to plan. It’s a great intro to dark fantasy especially since I truly don’t read this genre that much.

Bella Jay gave us so much info prior that I wasn't sure what i was in for. lol

I haven’t read a book by Bella Jay that let me down yet. Armisha is exactly that girl and starts the evening off with one goal. But what happens when your carefully laid plans are derailed?
It was less than a 90 minute read and I highly recommend for anyone wanting a quick spooky read. Ate it up!

This ain’t love. This is all about power. The power of connection, a power struggle and ultimately the seduction of power. Though it’s a novella, Bella Jay engages you quickly and thoroughly into Armisha’s world. Hope is tortuously fleeting. The Regina Mills OUAT quote at the beginning? Believe it.

Love a good drama, sex filled “I see red” type of book! I loved that the author included a playlist so that you could set the mood which I love! This was a fun October read! No follow up needed. I’m glad she didn’t have to sacrifice her bestie because her cheating boyfriend was more powerful and worth it. Bella Jay You did good with this!

I enjoyed this read. The lover girl in me wanted a different ending but I understand. Twenty-four hours to complete the ritual or you go bye bye. This novelette held my attention with witches, werewolves, sacrifices and blood play. Armisha knew what she wanted, what she had to do to get it and was willing to do whatever it took. Armisha was the epitome of I have to put myself first lol.

It was a fast paced enjoyable novella. I enjoyed the explanation of the magic system and the writing did paint a depiction of a growing bond. I do think there were issues between the connections between characters due to how short the story is. You can only bunch so much into a novella. Overall a quick entertaining read.

When a vampire witch get kidnapped by a werewolf... I enjoyed this book. I would love more like this from Bella Jay. It was just the right amount of spice and spooky with a hint of romance. And when I say Armisha was that girl... She was that Girl! She was like watch this, ima show you why I was picked to perform this ritual. Love, love, loved this book. Definitely want more.

GASP! Hunni, you’re still besties with her knowing you backstabbed her in a major way!! I'm yelling she was really about to unalive you to unlock her power and you’re out here entertaining friendship. RUN🏃🏾♀️💨 hell your wolf can't pick up on his scent and betrayal? At this point, the real horror isn’t Halloween. It’s having a bestie who wants to use you as a power up!
