I really loved this set up at the start, but then the altering chapters with the fictional fantasy series the main girl is obsessed with began to get too much for me. I felt like it dragged out the story at times, and would have preferred a 'Fangirl' approach where we just got glimpses of key scenes scattered throughout the story.
Also, I was really thrown by the random kidnapping - it felt tonally jarring with the rest of the story.

This book is a lot of fun. Is it plausible? No. But it jumps between a made up romantasy and a romance happening in real time and it does that well. If you don’t take it too seriously, it’s very entertaining
