After having read two other books about the homeless who lived in the abandoned tunnels under New York City in the 1990s, one of which had photos taken by Morton, this book wasn't terribly impressive. It was nice to see the photographs in larger format, and to read the words of each person interviewed verbatim - I got a good feel for their voices (whereas in Tunnel People, the interviews were translated into Dutch and then - I assume - translated back into English). This is very much the same crew from Tunnel People and The Mole People: Life in the Tunnels Beneath New York City and from the film "Dark Days", but this had the best images out of all of them of each person's tunnel home, in my opinion.

Very interesting book with interviews of homeless people and why they are living in an abandoned train tunnel in New York. Also pictures of their "homes".
