A very good book that I very much enjoyed. When I typically read books on this topic, they are most likely going to be academic and technical and thick. This is not that kind of book. It is for folks looking to have the story of Jesus told simply, at a high level, and not weighed down by dense, technical theological terms and data.
Who is this book for? I think a couple of people: Someone who is searching and seeking out Truth, looking to fulfill and satisfy that ache that nothing in the world seems to fill. It is also for the believer who might need to pause, take a step back, and be reminded of the simple, no-frills story of "Why Jesus?". It is good from time to time to have the haze and film build-up of academia stripped away occasionally and revisit the story unadorned by theological jargon.
There is still much power in the story of the Nazarene carpenter and Jason provides it to us in its raw, wooden form; its unvarnished glory. If nothing else, it is a reminder that there is tremendous power in simplicity.
