As the pranks escalate, Harper puts her amateur sleuthing skills to the test as she races against time to protect Havenwood’s magical allure from going public. With the highly anticipated Pumpkin Parade fast approaching, will she be able to unmask the perpetrator before they spill the town’s supernatural secrets or will the magical town cease to be a haven for Harper and those like her?

Normally, I do not write reviews. However, this package was so much fun to read. I had previously read the first book, but enjoyed reading it a second time. I loved all of the romantic developments, and I love seeing the growth in Harper.
I love reading, paranormal, cozy, but sometimes the authors use incorrect grammar, and have poor editing. This is totally not the case with reading books by LL Gray.
The characters are delightful in all three books, and spell books, the bookstore could be one of the best characters! I do wish that we could’ve seen more of Thyme in some of these books because Harper did question where Thyme went in the winter. Also, how’s our little dragon friend doing? I hope that some of these lovely characters will be incorporated into some of the books in the next set.

By the hoppy haunches of Thumper the Loud is this series GOOD! This series revolves around a young woman, Harper, who inherits, kind of, her great granny's bookstore, in a quaint town called Havenwood. Kind of, because, well, granny added a twist to her will, so there was quite the scramble for ownership. And that's only book 1....the mystery, the need to solve whatever is "off", escalates with each book. She inherits more than she bargained for, Luna, her grandma's familiar, comes as part of the deal. She is a comical little rabbit, you know, the hopping kind...! Oh glory do I love Luna's mouth! What a snarky, sassy familiar she is! I was chuckling the moment she started talking. Plus she has Gideon the gargoyle and Mr Wigglesworth, a rather large kitty cat, and we even got a cutes teeny tiny dragon! Just loved them all!

Harper is so likeable, so genuine and kind hearted. I loved her resourcefulness, anI loved how she became a miniature sleuth, weighing all the pros and cons on her suspects, and heck does she accumulate a list! Her inner musings are often hilarious, especially as she notches up her list of suspects. She gathers friends and loyalty, effortlessly, and the odd "enemy" or two. I loved how she opened her heart to Havenwood, to Spellbooks, to her friends. There was tonnes of intrigue, and a load of confusion for Harper, from her almost romantic interlude to her feelings for Gabriel But, she's finally getting her groove, she's finally settling in as a fully fledged member of society.

The author did a magnificent job in each book, keeping the perpetrators hidden, whether they were thieves or murderers. So well hidden and so well played by the author, I was kept guessing throughout!
Each book upped the ante, each book added another mystery to solve, each book saw Harper "grow" into herself. From witches to rabbits, to gargoyles, to vampires, to centaurs, can it get more fun than this? Yet it does, a whole lot more fun! This author has given a delightfully cozy, delightfully easy read a sprinkle of magic! This magic translated into my smiling face almost throughout, the hidden sleuth in ME was awoken and I got a wonderful few hours of enchanted pleasure.

I honestly love Ms Gray's different approach to magic, her characters who are well defined, the dialogue which is quick, her moving the plot along so easily. Her lively account of a very lively magical town that needs to stay off the radar. This really was a wonderful fun read, so cozy and sweet and exciting and compelling and humorous and romantic...in the guise of Gabriel. He might be the son of a very intimidating Vivienne Silverstone, but he's all sweetness and goodness and yumminess rolled into one. Talking about yummy, my word, the references to food made by Honey, mum to Harper's bff Bella, had me drooling. And hungry, I found I just HAD to snack while reading these...

But there you have it, Ms Gray has me cheering and booing and oooing over the supposedly good guys and the supposedly baddies, enjoying every one of them equally. Cosy, cute, mysterious, romantic interludes, all in a book that commanded my attention and sure as heck got it!

The Mystery in the Margins - Harper Sullivan returns to Havenwood thinking she is inheriting her grandmother’s bookstore. Harper is a recent college graduate who has grown up as a military brat. She has a few treasured memories of time with her Grandmother Bea. But much to Harper’s surprise she is in a competition to earn the bookshop with an unknown cousin. Havenwood isn’t your usual small town. It’s a haven for magicals who are able to live a more normal life where the magic is hidden from the average person. I really loved this story and am looking forward to reading more.

The Puzzle in the Pumpkin Patch - Welcome back to Havenwood where magicals live. Halloween is here and celebrations are happening almost daily. Harper is getting settled into her bookstore. While searching in the attic for Halloween decorations, she finds a box of little statues. A dragon, a few imps, a witch and more. The next thing she knows that cute little dragon is winking at her and causing small fires which is a real hazard in a bookstore. Then the city is having fires and pranks right and left. Is this cute dragon, Ignatius responsible? Don’t miss this book.

The Secret of the Silver Serpent - Harper is excited to attend her first Christmas Ball at the Silverthorne mansion. It’s an invitation only event but Isadora is also paying for the gown. The gown is designed just for Harper, Bella is also being gifted a gown. The threesome spends an enjoyable time with designs and fittings. The ball is over the top; however, security is on the alert for a jewelry robbery which has taken place at other large events. As darkness fall in the room, screaming begins. The thief has hit and the Silverthornes and Harper must solve this theft.

Ahhh, what I would expect

Now Harper is what you would expect from a budding sleuth. When her great grandmother passes away, she returns to Havenwood to claim her inheritance. Little does she know, but it isn't as simple as that. Upon arriving, she finds herself part of a mystery. The bookstore was broken into and rare books stolen. Hoping to secure her inheritance, she sets out to solve the mystery and catch the thief.

In book two, things are starting to settle down when Harper finds herself again pulled into a new mystery. Harmless but impact ful pranks that could expose magic to non-magicals. Halloween and the harvest festival means many tourists and the eye of the most powerful mage are tuned in which means she'll do anything she can to solve this one quickly.

The last one finds her at her first Christmas ball, where a jewelry heist leads to her most dangerous mystery yet. Harper isn't perfect and it shows. She's suspicious and tends to see everyone as a suspect, and gets things wrong. Sometimes it takes a village but you can feel that she working hard to think through the clues and stumbles, but she gets to the right conclusion.

This series is pure cozy magic. Havenwood feels like a place you’d actually want to visit, an enchanted bookshop, charming festivals, and yes, a snarky rabbit familiar who steals every scene. Harper is such a likable lead, and I loved watching her grow into her powers while solving mysteries that are lighthearted but still genuinely engaging.

Each book has its own fun twist, but together they create a warm, magical escape that’s perfect for curling up with a cup of tea. If you love small-town charm mixed with just the right sprinkle of magic and mystery, this box set is a treat.

What a fantastic series!

This series is so delightful! We have a young woman who luckily, inherits a bookstore from her grandmother, along with a very snarky bunny familiar. I had so much fun reading this series watching as Harper becomes more and more a part of the Havenwood community and solves mysteries along the way. The stories are all very well written and just pulled me in from the very beginning and did not let go due to the wonderful plots with twists and turns.

This is such a fun read and I honestly want more! It made me want to move to Havenwood just so I could be friends with this bunch! I love Luna most of all even though she’s bossy and grumpy. I couldn’t put the books down once I started and it made me procrastinate with stuff I had to do. Will definitely read more about Harper’s adventures because she reminded me of myself, always attracting trouble!

Hooray for Havenwood

This 3 box set gives a nice start on Harper’s story from the time her great grandmother (who is a witch) dies. Through her trials, tribulations, romances?, and mishaps, Harper grows beautifully as a resident of Havenwood with all that entails. Her sidekicks and friends are with her all along the way, encouraging and scolding her as times dictate.

I originally started this series at book 4 but loved it so much went back and read these 3. It is a great cosy mystery series with the central figure, Harper, taking you on a journey through her new life in Havenwood. There is great supporting characters, some magical, some not.
