Separation Day

Rate this book
In a single, breathtaking moment, the world is forever changed.

Millions vanish-mothers, fathers, children, entire families-leaving behind only their clothes and possessions. What remains is confusion, grief, and fear as those left behind grapple with the terrifying possibility that the prophecies of Scripture have come to pass.

In Birmingham, Alabama, Tom, Josh, and Sam confront a city collapsing under its own panic. Tom, whose wife and children were taken, must wrestle with heartbreak while clinging to the faint hope that God still has a plan. Josh questions everything he once believed, desperate for answers that seem out of reach. And Sam, already scarred by loss, wonders if redemption is even possible for a man like him.

In New York City, Jessie and Marcus face the calamity in a place where chaos spreads faster than hope. Jessie searches for meaning in a world gone silent, while Marcus-a man of God-sees the event as both judgment and calling. Determined to build a refuge for the frightened and the broken, he becomes a shepherd for the lost in a city that suddenly feels godless.

Though divided by distance, they are united by the same  they were left behind. Their only hope for survival lies in faith, trust, and a return to the God many had forgotten.

Separation Day is a gripping tale of loss, prophecy, and the desperate search for light in a world overshadowed by judgment.

About the author

Jason R. Cash

28 books
Jason R. Cash was born in Anniston, Alabama, and grew up with a love for storytelling that followed him throughout his life. In 2016, he and his wife Lori moved to the Gulf Coast, where the laid-back lifestyle, close-knit communities, and endless inspiration from the water and people around him began to shape not only his career but also his writing. Jason is the proud father of three adult children and “Paw Paw” to three wonderful grandchildren who bring joy and laughter into his life. Family has always been at the heart of everything he does, and that sense of connection, loyalty, and perseverance often shines through in his stories.
His novels range from the tender and heartfelt—like Simple, a story of innocence and resilience—to gripping suspense and action, as seen in Escape, Neighbor, General Population, and the Darkness series. His writing style blends vivid description and down-to-earth realism with a touch of haunting atmosphere, inviting readers to step into worlds where ordinary people face extraordinary circumstances.
When Jason isn’t writing, he and Lori run a successful real estate business on the Alabama Gulf Coast. Together, they enjoy helping families find their place in a region that has become their own beloved home. Whether on the page or in person, Jason’s greatest passion is sharing stories—about houses, about people, and about life on the Gulf Coast
