That’s what Felice Larson’s friends have blackmailed her into. Dev VonRamsberg seems nice enough, if you can see past the hair that hangs in his face, the glasses, and the corduroy slacks. It’ll be embarrassing for her and possibly humiliating for him, but if Felice doesn’t follow through, the others will let their professor know she ditched on a critical research trip. So she borrows a key and lets herself into Dev’s apartment in the middle of the night and promptly gets the surprise of her life.
Christian Devlin Philippe Pascal VonRamsberg, Crown Prince, and Heir Apparent to the Throne of Danislova, has lusted after his co-student, Felice Larson, for months but hasn’t followed through because of his obligations back home. But now that she’s literally snuck into his bed, he takes full advantage, much to their mutual delight. Dev’s been hiding out in plain sight in the United States so he can get his graduate degree and enjoy a more or less normal life before he has to return to Danislova to fulfill his duties to his country. He never expected to fall for an American woman, but now that he has, how can he give her a happy ending?
Felice discovers that she’s kissed a frog and won a prince, complete with a whirlwind tour of his lovely homeland in Eastern Europe. She falls in love with Danislova and the current Prince Royal, Dev’s father—a man closer to a father figure for her than her own parents. Unfortunately, Dev’s duties to his country require that he marry the right sort of woman…the wife his father has already selected for him. Will Felice and Dev face heartbreak, or can love triumph over tradition?
The Princes of Danislova is a contemporary fairy tale romance series in which each young American woman meets her Prince Charming. If you like your romance sizzling, this series is for you as each prince beguiles his princess in and out of bed.
All his friends think Dev is a nerd...a virgin nerd. So they convince Felice into sleeping with him. What they don't know is that not only is he NOT a virgin, he's actually a prince. After Felice 'does the deed' with him, their attraction to each other intensifies. When his secret is revealed, they both know there's no future for them...He has responsibilities and commitments. I have to admit, I'm a sucker for a modern day fairy tale. What girl hasn't dreamed about being wisked away by a real live prince and living happily ever after. This is one has it all, true love, a bit of angst, hot love scenes, and characters you give a rip about. Please note, the author was kind enough to share this book with me and I have in return left this honest review.
This book was categorised under New Adult. I am not really sure what exactly New Adult means but I reckon, it's not this book. It has a lot of steamy scenes that it is borderline to erotic.
Okay, onto the book. This a feel good read. It's not too long. Dev is just an admirable character. Well, all of the Royal family are. It's unreal not that I am familiar with the lives of the royalty. I suppose, they are just like normal people.
The character of the parents of Felice made me like her even more. She is very understanding and forgiving. And I suppose, resigned that she will not be the number one priority. But it is fine as she found a new family in Dev's.
I like Fredriech. I'd like to read his story with Marta soon.
I almost DNF'd this book. I probably shouldn't have picked it up to read given the premise--a grown woman allows her friends to convince her to have sex with a dorky grad student in their group as charity. And when she does, the sex is magical and they fall in love. And he happens to be a prince in this modern world of ours. And they have explicit sex six or seven times throughout the book--I lost track. The book was well-written, but it was just not for me.
I really enjoyed the story line of this book. but if you took the love scenes out it would probably be about 25 pages long. Few to many for me, not that it will stop me getting the books for the brothers!
This story was pretty good, but it could have been better. There were too many sex scenes added in like the author was just trying to pad the book. Other than that, I enjoyed the story by itself. It was cute.
Kiss the Frog is a cute and sexy story. Felice Larson is a grad student who gets talked into sleeping with a fellow student who is shy and all their friends think is a virgin, Dev VonRamsberg. Now, this part I didn't really like. First of all, Felice is pressured into sleeping with someone. Second, it's pity sex. Third, she sneaks into his apartment and into his bed, naked - if roles were reversed and a guy were to do this, he'd be arrested for assault or rape or something like that. When Felice starts to seduce Dev, she finds he's anything but shy and definitely not a virgin. She has the best sex of her life!! And now that Felice has discovered Dev isn't really who he says he is and asks her to keep it to herself, she tells her friends anyways (although she didn't know exactly who he was at this point - just who he wasn't.) I didn't really like Felice at the beginning of the book! It turns out Dev is really Prince Christian Devlin Phillipe Pascal VonRamsberg, heir to the throne of Danislova. When his father falls ill and he must return home, he convinces Felice to accompany him. And so begins their ill-fated love affair - they have no future as Dev is betrothed to another. The book was fast paced and somewhat humorous - Dev's cousin Vaclav was a lecherous trip! I really enjoyed it.
When Dev has a issue he has no problem talking to his woman about it, "he reached into his jeans pocket and produced the last of her condoms. “I thought we were going to use all of them.” A way with words Dev has, “wicked woman,” he whispered. “I’ve been swollen and ready for you since we kissed good-night in the hallway.” I really liked this book it was lighthearted, fun and the characters were really developed.
A well written story but a bit predictable. I loved the characters and hope to read about the rest of the royal family. Very interested in seeing how thing work out in the years ahead.
Her stuff is always bit naughty but always a fun read. I was disappointed that she gave up working on her pjs without any qualms. PhD. The main character, that is.
This was a very cute spin on a modern fairytale. Dev the handsome prince meets the beautiful American girl. Only problem is he is spoken for by another.
I loved this! I've read a lot of thriller, suspense and scary lately. This was just what I needed to take a break. It's sweet, gentle and so romantic. Though it's not without its tension and worry. I love the relationship between Dev and Felice. I loved the way he romanced her despite the fact that he knew he shouldn't, AND felt guilty for it. And I loved the way Alice wrapped it up.
