This is a "2 books in one" format. I give Losing Hope 3 stars, however, I give "Finding Cinderella" a 4 star. No spoilers here. These are the second and third book in the "Hopeless" series by Colleen Hoover. Losing Hope is a just a POV from Holders standpoint. There is A LOT of repetitive word for word from the first book. It made it kind of mundane but you have to get thru it to read the third book. Finding Cinderella is such a great read. I couldn't put it down. You explore a deeper look into two of the side characters as the author brings them forward with the main two characters.
If you're going to read losing hope, read it a long time after hopeless! it was very frustrating, I get it was from Holders pov but there was no new storyline and was literally just a repeat of their conversations word by word with nothing new to learn, so if anything it is a refresher of hopeless. Finding cinderella was better as it was another storyline altogether with some new twists. Going to give the series a break before reading the rest.
~spoilers!!!!~ Honestly, I had to read this book to finish the series. I was interested to hear Daniel and Six's love story. Finding out that Six got pregnant and gave the baby up for adoption was a total plot twist that had my jaw drop. The writing and storyline was fine, but I wouldn't have gone out of my way to read or recommend this book if it wasn't in a series that adds contextual clues.
I really did enjoy this book….way more than I thought I would as it’s basically the same book from a different characters angle. Perhaps not reading them back to back would have been a better idea though :)
I wouldn’t bother reading this as it adds nothing to the story of Hopeless and its poorly written. Not an easy enjoyable read like most Colleen Hoover Books.
The book was good. although it's very dark in places. I think I would have enjoyed reading it more without the dark bits. I think this book could be triggering for some.
Loved these two next installments in the series. Losing Hope was great but som parts repetitive of the first book but this is because it was told from another perspective and I thought this was very clever. Finding Cinderella was brilliant, exploring different characters from the first books.
