Rush by Emilee Carter is a great book. A really 5 star read for me. We have: rivals on the grid Fake dating Lots of tension A literal cowgirl-f1 driver American girl A sweet gentleman Italian-monegasque f1 driver with an accent Sweet nicknames for each other Supportive families Great banter An ex who I hate And many more
Savannah is a cowboy boots wearing kind of American ranch girl, a rookie-not rookie female f1 driver who has now a contract with the big team, and also a baby-sitter teammate-rival Marco. Did I mention she has a world famous country singer boyfriend, that he is desperate to keep a secret!?!? So when a little something happens and that relationship is at risk of being exposed, the pr team of this crap of a boyfriend (oops sorry) and himself decide for Savannah to fake date Marco. Fake dating isn’t that easy for Savannah and a little easier for our Monegasque sweetheart who may have some feelings for her. Who will they manage to fool the world that this fake relationship is true and also keep competing and try to win one another?
I found Savannahs character to be very likable and funny and I fell a bit in love with the gentle, supportive and sweet Marco. How could I not when he flew Savis family out in Europe to support her when the ex boyfriend of 4 YEARS didn’t even get them tickets to one of his home concerts.
Read it!, especially if you like F1 romance books. It’s my favourite yet.
Rush by Emilee Carter is a fast‑paced, high‑octane romance that merges the adrenaline of motorsport with a classic fake‑dating trope. The story follows Savannah Hart — a rookie driver on the first all‑female racing team — who’s secretly involved with a country‑music star. To avoid media attention, she and fellow driver Marco De Luca agree to a fake relationship, only to find genuine feelings growing between them. Carter creates sizzling tension, emotional vulnerability, and a realistic look at ambition, fame, and romance. For readers who enjoy sports‑romance with heat, heart, and a gritty racing backdrop, Rush delivers a thrilling ride.
Well it wasn’t horrendous, but it wasn’t amazing either. What partner in their right mind would come up with a plan for their girlfriend to fake date some other guy? But I guess Jesse did turn out to be an absolute wanker (which I suppose was predictable). Very easy to read so that was good! Did it feel a bit too unrealistic? Probably, but I guess that’s why it’s a fictional book. Also how did Marco have a breakdown over a girl and the next thing you know he’s in love with the another girl???

with this book I was absolutely hooked! I was so excited to return back to this universe and I was so right to be. I loved the plot and tention between the characters and was constantly reading on with every plot point and really enjoyed reading Savannah's healing process and her developing relationship Marco. has to be my favourite in this universe and I cannot wait to see what this author will write next!
Omg I think I’ve just discovered THE man that puts all other men to shame because Marco de Luca is the definition of absolute perfection 🤧 he’s kind, respectful and the pep talks to hype Savi up? Yeah, he’s the one 😫
I had to put it down when the character from Wyoming used British terms… no one from the U.S. is saying “mum” and that was so distracting. Also, 3rd person POV leaves a lot to be desired.
