I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.

How was that?

A little more detail? Gotcha.

I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken..but find their happy ever after anyway.

My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self help and sociology.

Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.

I wish this had been a longer book. Their relationship went from zero to 1000 instantly. I wish there had been more development between them. The sex scenes are plentiful and take up the majority of the novella. I'm greedy because I wanted more of the other stuff too...lol

I walked into this because I love Nora, but I haven't been into daddy kink for quite a while. It is a quintessential daddy kink book. Good for what it is, but not one for me.

I'm a huge fan of this series, especially Gentle Hand, Raf and Brendan's story. Raf will go down in my reading history as one of my all-time favorite characters. Unfortunately, only Gale and Saxton from Healing Hand are in this one. While I enjoyed that book, it didn't wow me like the ones before it did.

With that being said, I had no clue Dirty Hand even existed until earlier today when I saw someone else was reading it or had read it.

It starts out with George getting mugged. He's able to fight off his attackers for a couple of minutes but when one comes at him with a knife, he screams and gets the attention of somebody nearby. That somebody is Jack, who deals with the attackers before taking a very upset George back to his place. One thing leads to another and they're having sex.

Honestly, this is pretty much all sex. Because it was so short there wasn't a lot of character development. Even so, it was a nice story and good addition to the series.

A fantastic quick (but fulfilling) read with plenty of heat and sweet Daddy action. Great dialogue and a wonderful display of two men finding the perfect fit for each other. A lovely story.

Short and smutty

Full disclosure, I'm primarily giving this five stars because it does what it's supposed to do and it does it well. This is supposed to be a insta lovey, high heat, angst free, quick read. The kind of thing to take you out of a reading slump. And it does that. But then it also gives its characters actual character traits and the little blood development. George and Jack don't feel like cardboard cutouts. They feel fully realized. The ridiculous beginning actually makes a little bit of sense. There's even a little bit of efficacy thrown in When talking about Jack's bisexuality. There's not really anything to complain about here. It's an easy five-star read.

- that’s a fun conversation to have after the fucking of your life
- this is very fast paced
- all of the sex is so filthy and so so good
- i really loved their dynamic
- acc managed to dig quite deep into their characters for a 100 page novella!
- i wish we had the actual love confessions as a scene instead of a recap in the epilogue
- but i did love the epilogue!!

I spend so much time reading and not so much writing reviews. Instead of a review, here’s what my personal rating system means:

5 stars = In this moment, I love this book more than almost anything. I have absolutely nothing to complain about in this book except for the fact that I never wanted it to end and it, of course, had a finite amount of pages. I would reread it again immediately if I didn’t have (literally) thousands of other books on my TBR. It’s possible I couldn’t stop thinking about this book and its characters any time I wasn’t reading it. It’s possible this book is my new favorite. If I don’t already own a copy of this book, I will likely buy one and reread it at some point in the future. If it’s part of a series, I’m planning on reading every other book in the series and every other book by this same author I can get my hands on. I might even read fanfic based on this book, because I can’t get enough of the story/characters/world. This book has carved out a special place for itself in my heart’s bookshelf. I will recommend this book to anyone and will thrust any extra copies I find of it at people I love, insisting they read it immediately if not sooner.

4 stars = I loved this book and will recommend it highly to anybody, but there wasn’t a special something in it that made me want to buy a ring and propose marriage to it. I wouldn’t mind rereading it one day, but I don’t feel a compelling urge to restart it the moment I finish it. This book made me think and/or feel deeply, however it didn’t completely consume my every waking moment. I will still likely search out anything else by this same author. And I will feel so lucky and glad to have read this book.

3 stars = I really liked this book, but something fell short for me. It was great—wonderful, even—but I didn’t fall in love with it. There was nothing below the surface for me. I had a good time reading it, but that’s where I’m happy for my relationship with the book to stop. If it’s part of a series, I will probably read more one day, but I haven’t already put those books on hold or in my shopping cart. I’m glad to have read this book and will recommend it to others who like this sort of book but not with the deep passion and excitement I have for higher starred books.

2 stars = I did not like this book. I’m glad to have read it and even gladder to be done with it so I can move on with my life and find a book better suited for me. Something in this book probably made me feel uncomfortable or icky. Some part of the book did not ring true or disturbed me in some way. Other parts of the book were probably just fine though overshadowed by the parts I disliked. I felt relieved to be done with it, but I appreciate the author sharing the story with the world. I might take a chance on other books by this author someday… but not right away.

1 star = I wish upon a shooting star and all my birthday cake candles that I hadn’t read this book. I respect the author for having written it, because writing a book is difficult and a big deal. But I wish I could erase my entire experience with this particular book, because it was not for me. There’s absolutely nothing in it that I liked or I actively felt offended or insulted by the book, as if its purpose was to cause me distress and pain. I would like to get as far away from this book as possible. Thanks, but no thanks. I will likely actively avoid other books by this author in the future. I hated my experience of reading this book and might have physically thrown it across the room if reading a physical copy. I might even have *gasp* stopped reading this book without finishing it.

Je pensais la série terminée lorsque j’ai lu le tome précédent. Aussi, j’ai été étonnée de découvrir un nouvel opus dans cette série.
Comme mes lectures précédentes, celle-ci a été plaisante. Si j’aime beaucoup les textes de Nora Phoenix, celui-ci m’a moins emballée que les autres.
Cet opus est plus court que les précédents et de fait, les évènements s’enchaînent plus vite. Je pense que c’est cet aspect-là qui m’a un petit peu gênée.
Le style de l’auteur est toujours aussi fluide et agréable à lire. Au fil des pages, nous retrouvons Saxton et Gale rencontrés dans le tome 5 de la série. Comme toujours, j’aime garder le lien avec les personnages d’un même univers, j’ai donc apprécié ce rappel.
Une lecture un peu moins captivante qu’habituellement mais qui ne m’a pas empêché de passer un bon moment.

I couldn’t get into this one. After being mugged I just couldn’t believe he would go home with a complete stranger and just jump into dropping his pants and then agree to start dating the same man. It was just way too fast and I didn’t connect or really feel anything for the characters. Maybe if it was more fleshed out I’d have enjoyed it more.

Overall this series was okay, not my favourite from the author but I stuck with it to the end.

My least favourite work of Nora's to date. The fall off is generational. No one will convince me this was not a rough draft of Gentle Hand that she "polished" and re-submitted. I wish she'd done more to make the pairing more believable, less copy paste of the other Daddy/Little dynamics. The editing was sloppy, there was no emotional pay out for the reader, and none of the characters were exactly endearing. 2 stars for the effort. But for sure my least favourite read this year.

Sweet and fun

I loved George and Jack’s story. I’d read this is the 2021 Dirty Daddies Pride Anthology and forgotten how much I liked it. I’m glad it was released separately as it’s a good addition to the Perfect Hands series and might be overlooked otherwise.

This was a cute, quick read. Not as good as the other Perfect Hands books but still good. It felt a little rushed especially at the end. It was like we were missing a couple chapters . Still well worth a read.

It's pretty obvious this started out as a short story in an anthology. It's complete in itself, but it's also definitely not a the full story of these two guys, just their start. Still, enjoyable and lots of fun kinkiness, so I'm happy.

Not much of a story here. There’s a mugging (George) followed by what seems like one long continous sex scene with his rescuer (Jack). I wound up skimming and completely losing interest.
