Light My Fire Three Times: A Small Town Christmas Reverse Harem Romance

Rate this book
I came to visit my best friend, drink too much coffee, and forget the mess I made of my ‘big-city’ life.
Spend the holidays in the mountains—that’s all I wanted.

But my first night here, I stepped outside my cabin, hit a patch of ice—
and landed in the arms of a man I shouldn’t want.

Jesse Fletcher.
Firefighter. My bestie’s brother. Certified bad idea.
He catches me like he’s done it a hundred times before…
and looks at me like he wants to do it again.

One night turned into a wildfire.
We swore it was a mistake.

Then I parked my coffee truck outside his fire station
and met his crew—
There’s Leo, who makes me feel safe, but when he growls my name, I melt,
and Karl, the flirty troublemaker who makes me forget every rule.

Now my quiet break is something else entirely…
a small town that feels like home,
and three firefighters who make Christmas burn a little brighter.

Once was a slip-up.
Twice was trouble.
But three times… Coyote Glen is starting to feel like forever.

Light My Fire Three Times is a spicy standalone MFMM why choose romance in the “Coyote Glen” series. Get ready for small-town Christmas charm and rom-com laughs. No swords cross, but the halls get decked—with an ultra-cozy HEA.

From Burnout to Burning Up in Coyote Glen

Lacey takes us back to the small town of Coyote Glen, and I swear I’m falling more in love with this place with every book. The charm, the chaos, and the men? Absolute cherry on top.

Olivia comes to Coyote Glen for a much-needed vacation from her soul-sucking corporate job to visit her best friend Ivy and her adorable little army of children. Olivia goes through so much in such a short time, but she handles it with strength and grit. Her epic quitting scene? Chef’s kiss. You go, girl! Ivy, as always, is the best kind of friend supportive, loyal, and always ready to lift Olivia up when her world goes sideways.

Then there are the firefighters, three of them, no less who cross her path in the most deliciously serendipitous ways. Jesse, Ivy’s older brother, is downright endearing. Karl, the resident troublemaker and charming playboy, keeps things lively. And Leo, oh, Leo. The broody, hot-headed one who somehow makes Olivia feel safest of all. Each man helps her find her footing again, and each adds his own spark to her story.

And can we talk about little Penny? She’s a pint-sized chaos gremlin wrapped in sugar and sass. And Pickle, the four-legged disaster? Absolute scene-stealer.

As always, I adore seeing familiar faces from the previous books—it feels like coming home every time. Coyote Glen just keeps delivering heart, humor, and heat in all the right ways.

A wonderful read.
A story that keeps giving more depth for the reader to explore. Showcasing the reality of burnout and the benefit of love and support in recovery. Fantastic characters, warts and all. I enjoyed the story line, a bit more detail on the villain’s fate may have been more satisfying - but that could be my own bloodthirstiness showing (LOL). I have read several books by this author now, and I have enjoyed every one of them.

I'm utterly captivated by the world of Coyote Glen, and with every visit, I fall deeper in
love with this charming, chaotic small town. It’s a place that effortlessly balances
small-town quirk with genuine, heart-warming emotion. The setting itself is a character, full of picturesque beauty and unexpected antics, but it’s the people who truly make it unforgettable—especially its men, who are the absolute cherry on top of this delightful literary sundae.

Our journey begins with Olivia, a woman at a crossroads, desperately seeking a much-needed escape from her soul-sucking corporate life. Her arrival in Coyote Glen is an act of self-preservation, a seeking of refuge with her best friend, Ivy, and her adorable, rambunctious crew of kids. Olivia’s arc is one of incredible transformation. In a short period, she endures a significant amount of upheaval, yet she navigates it all with remarkable strength and grit that shines through every page. Her moment of defiance, the scene where she finally quits her oppressive job, is pure, cathartic perfection—a total "You go, girl!" moment that had me cheering out loud. And by her side is Ivy, who, as always, is the ideal friend: supportive, fiercely loyal, and always ready with a witty remark or a loving shoulder to lift Olivia up when her world spins out of control.

Then there are the three magnificent firefighters who cross Olivia's path, each one playing a distinct and delightful role in her reawakening. Their introductions are as unexpected as they are charming, creating instant sparks and a delicious tension that propels the story forward.

Jesse: Ivy’s older brother, he is completely endearing. He embodies the reliable, sweet-natured hero, a man whose quiet strength and genuine kindness offer an immediate sense of comfort and stability. His dynamic with Olivia is built on a foundation of easy familiarity and undeniable, smouldering chemistry.

Karl: The charming playboy and resident troublemaker, Karl keeps things lively with his devil-may-care attitude and infectious charisma. He represents the thrill and the fun Olivia has been missing, adding a layer of irresistible flirtation and exciting unpredictability to her small-town sabbatical.

Leo: The final piece of this captivating trio is Leo—broody, hot-headed, and a man whose intensity is matched only by his deep sense of responsibility. Surprisingly, he is the one who somehow makes Olivia feel the safest. Beneath his formidable exterior is a protector, and the potent, complex spark between them hints at a deeper, more profound connection.
Each man plays a vital, non-interchangeable role in helping Olivia regain her balance, igniting a unique spark in her journey toward self-discovery and a new life.

Seeing familiar faces from earlier books is always a treat; it truly feels like coming home. These cameos aren't just fan service; they deepen the sense of community and history that makes Coyote Glen so realistic and immersive. This series consistently delivers the perfect, satisfying blend of genuine heart, laugh-out-loud humour, and undeniable, scorching heat, making it a must-read for anyone looking for an escape that is both passionate and profoundly moving.

I enjoyed this book, but there were a lot of inconsistencies that took me out of the story. Stuff like one of the MMCs being behind the FMC, then the next sentence he was in front of her, (where one of the other MMCs were supposed to be) characters acting in a way that didn't make sense for their characters, (but it added drama, so the author went with it) and I'm still not sure if Olivia was living in a house or an apartment at the beginning because it was described both ways, including having a front porch AND a hallway right outside her front door. Speaking of her rental situation, since when is it the renter's responsibility to get/pay for damages? Like, if it were intentional, sure, ( but then there'd be legal issues involved too) but for an accident? And as bad as the damage was described, would the owner have even bothered with rebuilding the house? Lastly, misappropriation/embezzlement is a crime. If someone had proof a past or present misappropriated funds, especially if they were wanting to hurt them, wouldn't they have filed charges, not a lawsuit? Follow up question: why would you call and tell him what you know? That's such a rookie move. Why give that heads up?

Ugh, and Ivy getting upset like she didn't do practically the same thing to Jesse, and, somehow, managing to make their relationship about her. And making everyone feel like the villains because they wanted to figure their relationship out before telling her Like, way to make their relationship about you. Given the way she reacted, I can't really say I blame them for being hesitant to tell her

Honestly, so many of Olivia and Ivy's interactions in this book made me wonder why they were even friends. The further I got into the book, the less they seemed to even like each other, like they're just best friends because they've always been best friends, and they're both scared/unable to make new friends

Also, the author seems to REALLY like describing people's eyes, expressions, and body language as softening

Overall, there's a lot in this book that didn't make a lot of sense to me, but I enjoyed it anyway, and look forward to the next one. Hopefully, it doesn't have an MMC who's an asshole just because (I guess) the author feels every RH needs a token asshole just to add drama and make the other two MMCs look better (especially the golden retriever who never seems to do anything wrong, but is quickly forgiven any time he does).

Reverse harem dream with a little cream and sugar on top.Lacey is in Coyote Glen for much needed rest and relaxation . But when she slips and falls on the ice her bestie’s brother Jesse Fletcher catches her which is more than n-ice. They had one hot night filled with desire ,although he’s a firefighter he wasn’t dousing the flame that torched between them till the night was over and done . Then when she parks her truck in the Fire-station yard who is she to discard the other hot guys on the same shift as he. There’s Leo who like a lion growls her name but who makes her feel safe in his arms as he prowls untamed. Then if she doesn’t fall for Karl who’s flirtatious and salacious as heck . So now she has one , two ,three at her beck and call on repeat for her heat. Her walls and her halls get decked by this trio of a tag team firefighter harem . She knows who she can count on to burn her fires and desires to steam three men and their lady who wears the largest beam on her face as they steam through ,they know what to do to make her hum and ding a ling like the firetruck’s bell . She is their belle and she’s a gal who likes to be showered with many a Pearl necklace and lace even all over her face I shouldn’t wonder as they do her plunder like a clap of thunder they strike while the fire of desire is hot giving her all they got. Yep this book was hot and full of heat but it’s mighty sweet too and a great storytelling that is mighty and it’s compelling

Olivia needs a break. An escape from the chaos that is her life in the city and big business. Her boss is a jerk, his expectations insane. She takes a vacation to visit her best friend, Ivy, in a small town where she is living with her three husbands and their four children.

Jesse, Leo, and Karl are firefighters and friends. Jesse is Ivy's brother. Leo and Karl are cousins who share a home. They share lots of things, but never a woman, until Livvy.

Jesse is the level headed one. He is the first to spend time with Livvy, but fights it because of his sister. Karl is the class clown, never taking anything really seriously. A fact that almost costs him everything when Livvy overhears something he says to Leo. Leo is the serious one, so much so that Olivia actually thinks he hates her. That could not be farther from the truth.

A late night fight between the three men quickly becomes something much different, and the start of something wonderful. But there are several outside sources trying to work against them, including her former boss and Jesse's former "good time".

I'm newer to reading Lacey Day. I thought the story and the characters were well written. The differences between the three men brought out different strengths in Livvy, and brought variety to the story. The bonus chapter provided a nice wrap up to the story too.

This was an interesting read. It was cute and sweet with some real life issues about the work place, about being burnt out.
Olivia goes to Coyote Glen where her bestie lives, for some much needed time away from a stressful job. On her first night there she has dinner with her bestie's brother Jesse and things get hot and heavy. Then she meets Karl at a Halloween party and the chemistry is insane between them. When she meets Leo it's after she quits her job so emotions are running high and they get off on the wrong foot.
Things go from nice and easy to full on crazy in no time and the guys are just trying to be there for her while also trying to navigate their feelings. The chemistry they have with Liv is hot and heavy. After some very scary moments for Liv they find their rhythm and I swear these guys are so sweet and cute and are complete sweethearts with Liv.
I love that this book has some real life issues like, overworking for a company that doesn't value you, and the health problems that can come because of it.
But in the end they have a sweet HEA

Light My Fire Three Times is a delightful, easy-to-enjoy read that balances charm with just the right touch of drama. Lacey Day crafts a story that feels lighthearted yet engaging, never weighed down by unnecessary conflict. The drama that does appear is subtle—enough to keep the pages turning without overshadowing the fun.

The real strength of this book lies in its characters. They’re vibrant, entertaining, and full of personality, making it a joy to follow their interactions and journeys. Each one brings something unique to the story, and together they create a dynamic that feels both playful and authentic.

This isn’t a book that tries to be overly heavy or complicated—it’s the kind of story you can sink into, smile through, and come away feeling satisfied. If you’re looking for a read that’s fun, character-driven, and sprinkled with just a hint of drama, then this one is for you.

I have read several books by this author and enjoy the characters (some more than others).

This book is definitely a Why-choose vs a RH. You are left wondering how it will go and how they will sort their sh-tuff out.

Sometimes I miss the days when you did not see inside people's thoughts because when they are self-sabotaging or anxiety-diving it is more pleasant to just watch than to be buried with them.

I can't say that I liked all of these characters all the time. Karl's thoughts in the beginning were very full of himself. Liv is skittish (bold go with the flow and then immediate woe is me what have I done runaway vibe). Leo & Liv are at cross-purposes and initially bring out the worst in each other. I felt really bad for Jesse initially.

All that being said, I overall like the people and the town. It is a nice place to visit.

Brilliantly fun Why Choose firefighter's romance

A brilliantly fun why choose romance, continuing with a new romance in Coyote Glen. This one is full of steamy romance, firefighter heat, drama, tension, great characters, brilliant banter, chemistry and shared love. It was also great to see Ivy and her men again.

When Olivia comes to visit her best friend Ivy for a break she didn't expect to find herself drawn to not just Ivy's brother Jesse but two of his crew as well.

Jesse shouldn't want her but together they're wildfire
Karl is a flirt making it all a game, until it isn't
Leo brings the heat while making her feel safe

With Olivia's break from the big city starting to feel like home can her firefighters work together to persuade her to stay?

I really enjoyed this feel-good Christmas RH romance and can't wait for the third in this series.

Every story that the author Lacey Day gives us from Coyote Glen is just as amazing as the last and I really feel like with her character development, storyline and relatability that I could sit down with these people to have lunch and talk to them (forgetting that they are fictional characters). While this is a standalone I always suggest reading the prior book as it gives some background and just helps to build the fantastic world that the author weaves. I adored Ivy in the first book so seeing her bestie Olivia get a story was like the icing on the cupcake not to mention we got 3 HOT firefighters (Jesse, Karl and Leo) all bringing something different to the table but give spice to the story. It was also perfect because it’s got a small town holiday setting so it gave all the feel good moments I needed to end out the year. Highly recommend!

Olivia needs a break from work. Taking a few weeks off to chill and spend time with her best friend in Coyote Glen. Her first night in town alone, Jesse, her friend Ivy, brother, takes her out to dinner and things get hot. But both don't want to hurt Ivy, and Olivia isn't staying long, so they keep things quiet. Out on the town with Ivy, Olivia meets Karl, A friend and fellow firefighter of Jesse's. When things get interesting, Karl shares he just wants to let off some steam and Olivia, feeling the same, they spend the night together. Leo is Karl's cousin and also another firefighter. He keeps his distance from Olivia until Olivia ends up staying with him and Karl after her house catches fire.

There's a lot that goes on in this story. It's complicated but Lacey Day brings it all together with a sweet HEA!.

Light My Fire Three Times by Lacey Day is a festive, spicy why-choose holiday romance set in the cozy small town of Coyote Glen. What starts as a simple getaway quickly turns into a whirlwind when the main character finds herself drawn not just to her best friend’s brother—firefighter Jesse—but also to two more members of his crew, Leo and Karl. Between small-town charm, Christmas magic, and an MFMM dynamic, this story blends heat with holiday warmth.

This book has plenty of spice, a fun seasonal setting, and a steady pace that keeps the story moving. The characters bring humor, flirtation, and the kind of small-town vibe that fits perfectly with a holiday read. While it wasn’t my personal favorite, readers who enjoy why-choose, firefighter romances, or festive spice will likely appreciate this one.

Olivia takes a break from city life to visit her best friend and winds up entangled with not one but three men. Her “mistake” with Jesse starts things off, but soon she finds herself enamored of his friends and workmates Leo and Carl. Olivia was very relatable. She just wanted some time to try to figure out her life. Jesse, Leo and Karl made me wish I had stumbled my way to the mountains. All three men were swoon worthy and made it easy to understand why Olivia couldn’t choose. There was drama and angst but also some lighthearted moments. And plenty of steam, too. It was an enjoyable read and I’ll be looking for more from this author.

Another amazing story set in Coyote Glen, if you haven't read the first book about Ivy and her harem I highly recommend that you do, but if not you will still love this story about her best friend Olivia.
Olivia visits Ivy for a break from work as she is on the verge of burn out, then she meets 3 hot firemen, Jesse who wants what he shouldn't, Karl starts like it's a game but he's so wrong & Leo, their tempers flare from the start but eventually eventually it is more than tempers that burn.
If you want something hot & steamy, full of tension and drama, want and denial, heartache but heartwarming and just the right amount of humour then this book is perfect.

Olivia needs to escape. She’s been worked to the edge by an abusive boss. She finally takes a vacation and visits her BFF, Ivy, in a quaint mountain town.

But she’s not relaxing she’s spinning. A night with her BFF’s brother, a fireman, who she can’t stop thinking about. And Ivy can’t find out. So to stop thinking of him she becomes involved with a fellow firefighter. When her home burns down, the chaos reaches epic proportions. With nowhere to live she moves in with two firefighters, and one can’t stand her or does he protest too much?

The characters are entertaining with banter and steam. Can they bank the embers into a contained roaring fire or will they burn down everything?.

A drama filled somewhat angsty holiday reverse harem. Though I normally love Lacey Day’s books this one just didn’t do it for me. I love the holiday theme, the return of Ivy and her harem, and like in the last book I liked Jesse. I couldn’t stand Olivia and her behavior/ personality. Karl was eh for me being a MMC. Once Leo and Liv got over their differences Leo was probably my favorite in line with Jesse. I did love how Ivy helped Olivia get the food truck and encouraged her. There is not enough women encourage women these days and how Olivia stuck up for herself against her abusive boss. The spice was spicing 🔥.

This was such a great read, it had spice (18++), a great chemistry, humor, a bit of suspense, complex characters and a fast paced plot that will have you reading each word.

The story starts with Olivia needing a break from her city job/life and decides to go to Coyote Glen to visit her best friend, only to fall into Jesse, then meet his friends/coworkers Leo and Karl and just find what she has been looking for.

It is refreshing to have a story to go along with the dynamics of a reverse harem, and this one delivers in all levels.

This was a great story. We are back in Coyote Glen with Ivy and her men and her children. Olivia, her best friend has come to visit and taking a break from work and her abusive boss. She meets up with Jesse, Ivy’s brother and has a fling with him. It doesn’t stop there, then she meets Karl and Leo. For someone who wants to figure out what to do with her life and these three scorching hot firemen help her in more ways than she expected. The story is full of spice and lots of drama and life decisions that conclude with her and the three guys living happily ever after.

Another fantastic book by Lacey Day!! I always enjoy her stories and this one didn't disappoint. The heat between Jesse and Olivia, Leo's spontaneity, Karl's grumpiness turned seriousness. And in between the good story some really good sentences that just stayed with me. The epilogue was absolutely incredible with so many sentences that will just stay with you! One sentence that just stands out as a great description for the book was "He kisses me like he's marking me, because I'm the center of his world, and damn it, I don't ever want him to stop." Just Wow!.

This story involves Olivia, Jesse (her BFF’s brother), Karl (the player), and his cousin Leo.

This comes complete with an OW wannabe in the form of Jesse’s ex.

It contains lots of drama and conflict, miscommunication, jealousy, horrible bosses and a potential criminal investigation.

Action, start to finish, and with the drama between the men, I was really worried about how the HEA would come about.

A really enjoyable story that hooks you and keeps you engrossed from start to finish.

Another delightful read by Lacey Day - and our second book in Coyote Glen. This book follows Olivia, Jesse, Karl and Leo.

Olivia is down to earth and relatable and the men (as always) are extra swoony. It has enough drama to keep you fully entertained while still being an easy, holiday read.

This was a perfect, mostly-lighthearted, character driven holiday romance that leaves you feeling satisfied when it finishes.

I really enjoyed that this story had a bit more of a chase, a bit more mystery surrounding the main characters, giving it that feeling of needing to know what will happen next. I also enjoyed reading how they solved those mysteries together.
The protagonists had already appeared in previous books, and it was nice to know they had a happy ending.
And I'm also grateful for the glimpse into the couple's life in the romance prior to this story.

A light, fun, romantic story with a touch of Christmas, and we definitely have scenes that I'm sure will completely melt your heart.💗

Another great story from Lacy Day. This time you have Olivia, an overworked woman who comes to Coyote Glen for a break. And three firefighters who are friends. One of them is her best friend's brother, an off-limits man that draws them together. Another two are cousins who live together, work together.
You will not be disappointed if you are looking for a fun reverse harem book. The men are all about Olivia, willing to put their differences aside for their dedication to her.

The next book in the Coyote Glen series. Olivia is in town visiting her best friend when she falls for 3 men who all happen to be gorgeous firefighters, who rescue her when a candle causes a fire in her home. She resigns from job and overbearing manager and starts over in the small town.
Things get difficult when her best friend finds out her brother and Olivia are in a relationship and that there are too more men also involved and when her ex manager accuses her of embezzlement.
Some great spicy scenes as usual from Lacey.

Light My Fire Three Times did not disappoint!! The story was amazingly written, funny, intense, exciting and had all of the feels. The characters did not disappoint! They were charming, had amazing chemistry, a little broken but was put back together in the most amazing way. They were likable and relatable and fun. Lacey Day did not disappoint with this one and I highly recommend it and look forward to reading more of the series!.
