Warwitch Academy #3

Warwitch Academy 3

Rate this book
I survived the war and my first term at magic school. How hard could meeting the parents be?

Turns out when your girlfriends include a princess, a dragon-blooded noble, a monster hunter from a legendary family, and a demonic duchess, "meeting the family" involves a lot more than awkward small talk over dinner.

But holiday drama takes a backseat when revolutionaries start bombing the capital of Umbrica. Someone's smuggling infernal weapons into Caldia—the same demon-forged horrors I spent years fighting in the war. Worse, they're planning something big enough to tear the Free States apart, and all signs point to treachery.

Now I'm racing against time while my blood magic screams at me to let loose the monster I used to be. The girls at my side are ready to fight for me and for Caldia, but this isn't an academy training exercise—this is the kind of battle people don't come back from, and nothing is as it seems.

The war may be over, but the fight for the people I love is just beginning.

I like his writing style. I think he said earlier that his is the writing style is to tell a enjoyable story where the guy gets the girl. He probably best in my opinion of balancing the telling of the story with the right amount of erotic parts.
In this story the holiday break is coming up and our hero and his harem are going to visit the parents of each of the women in his harem. Basically going home to visit the future in-laws. However not all is well in the Caldian republic. There are separatists who want to separate from the government. Unfortunately they aren't behind using weapons of the enemy in the war. Namely mechanical demon devices, the merging of demon and machine. Each visit gives a little bit of insight into the backgrounds of each of his future wives.

Another banger

This one starts a touch slower compared to the first two in the series but don't let that fool you, it ramps up the spice, the kinks and the stakes. I do wonder though with the big bad for this one if others won't return from his past and if he won't go down a new path of magic once he makes a certain bunny his. Can't wait for the next book now.

Continues seamlessly where part two left off. Meeting the parents is a nice twist with a few funny moments, but then there's some predictable combat, and it all stays very superficial. It seems that this series has found a groove where it can continue running for quite a while. It's not bad, but also not up there with the best either.

A well thought out and executed story - great reading

The authors have created something truly unique with this series. The humor is excellent and the multiple waves of obstacles the characters face is extremely varied and distinct. It will be very interesting to see where the authors take the series. Hopefully, there will not be a rush to close it out. Bring on Book 4!

Another great one

A relaxing vacation for our MC? Not in this world. We get a great mix of action and downtime. It was interesting meeting the girls families and seeing more of the country.

Really fun read

Love the fact that three books aren't centred on digging and more about alisters life with about it combat. There plenty of funny moments especially with hexie around looking forward to reading more.

Another fantastic book in this series!

As with the other books in this series, the unique magic of the MC has been really interesting as well as the underlying mysteries of the kingdom.

Assuming isn't

The story is not just about, strike and reaction but the actions taken to get the results you wanted. But the results that draws upon the hero powers .

Still entertaining, characters are good and there are coherent narratives for each one. I'm more interested in this series now then I was with book 1. Hopefully this series still has some legs to it.
