Wrong Number, Right Firefighter

Rate this book
She called in a pizza. She got a firefighter with a chip on his shoulder and a body built for sin.

I thought I was calling the pizza place.

Instead, I accidentally rang the local fire hall.

Next thing I know, a grumpy firefighter named Scoop is standing in my rental cabin, staring at me half-asleep on the sofa like he’s the one who got called in for an emergency.

Not exactly what I meant to order, but I’m definitely not sending him back.

One wrong number, one unexpected drop-in, and suddenly my quiet little getaway is getting a whole lot hotter.

They say you can’t plan for love.

Apparently, you can’t plan your pizza either.

This is a 1-hour read that's part of Wrong Number, Right Guy, a multi-author series of short, steamy instalove stories with guaranteed happily-ever-afters. One misdialed call, accidental text, or late-night drunk dial sparks instant attraction, unexpected chemistry, and a whole lot of trouble. From grumpy mountain men to handsome hockey players, and smoking hot firemen, each wrong number leads to the right kind of love connection. Your next obsession is calling.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Such a fun, steamy, and swoony read!

Lilah Hart delivers another addictive story with Wrong Number, Right Firefighter. What starts as a hilarious mix-up (a call for pizza that lands a grumpy firefighter at the door) quickly turns into a sizzling, can’t-put-it-down romance. Scoop is the perfect combination of broody and irresistible, while Camille brings warmth, wit, and just enough sass to keep him on his toes. Their chemistry practically leaps off the page, making this short read both laugh-out-loud funny and melt-your-heart romantic.

It’s fast-paced, flirty, and the perfect one-sitting escape. If you love small-town vibes, grumpy/sunshine sparks, and a touch of fate bringing two opposites together, this book will leave you smiling long after the last page.

Definitely a five-star must-read! 💕🔥.

This is the first time Camille has ever been drunk and she wants a pizza. So she calls the fire department thinking she’s calling the pizza joint. Scoop decides he better do a wellness check and goes to her cabin. This is a great little story, I found it funny and sweet with some steam and Scoop and Camille were just perfect together. Feel good story all the way.

4.5 ⭐s She ordered a pizza, so why did this firefighter show up?

Camille was raised in a very strict religious family; they went to church twice a week, she wore modest clothing, and she followed the rules. There were no sleepovers, going to classmates' homes after school, school dances, and especially no dating. Other than a few swallows of champagne at her cousin's wedding reception, she's never had any alcohol.

This weekend she's going wild! She found a rental cabin available for the weekend. She planned to complete her application for grad school for a clinical psychology degree at Edenridge. There's a margarita machine at the cabin, and she decides to celebrate with a drink, a rather large drink. When she goes to fix dinner, there's nothing to fix. She decides to go pick up a pizza. She knew she was a bit tipsy but thought she'd be OK to drive until suddenly there was lightning, thunder, and pouring rain. Time for a delivery order!

She finds the binder with the information about the cabin and the local area. Hartsville Pizza is listed under emergency numbers. When she dials the number, the man who answers seems to be rather curt. He insists she phoned the Wildwood Valley fire hall. She insists it's the pizza place and places her order and gives him her address.

Scoop was worried about the woman on the phone. He could tell she was drunk, but there was something else wrong with her. He can't pinpoint what's wrong; he just knows something isn't right. He has to go check on her.

She's passed out when he arrives. He's instantly attracted to her, more so than any other woman he's ever seen. As he starts to reposition her, she wakes up. She finds him to be very attractive and caring, despite his earlier lack of phone manners. He also was able to rustle up a meal for them. After their meal, before they can really begin to get to know each other, there's an emergency call for storm damage that he needs to attend to.

She's never done this before, but it is her weekend to be wild, so she invites him to return when the emergency is over.

He's never been enough for any woman he's been attracted to before. Why would Camille be any different? Besides, she's not staying past this one weekend.

What to do, what to do...

Sometimes, the best things in life come from total accidents—like dialing the wrong number when you’re tipsy, hungry, and definitely not expecting your soulmate to pick up.

Camille just wanted some late-night takeout, not a six-foot-something firefighter with a heart of gold. But when she accidentally calls an emergency line instead of the pizza place, she gets Scoop—a protective, no-nonsense firefighter whose instincts don’t let him ignore a woman alone and vulnerable.

What follows is a meet-cute that’s equal parts awkward, heart-melting, and swoon-worthy. Scoop shows up thinking he’s doing his duty. Camille’s embarrassed but charmed. And instead of judgment, she gets a warm meal and a man who listens—really listens. The way their chemistry slowly sparks over shared stories and simple kindnesses made me feel everything. You don’t always need fireworks for a love story—sometimes, a quiet night in and the right person showing up is all it takes.

But this isn’t just a fluffy rom-com. It’s also about second chances at love, especially for someone like Scoop, who’s convinced relationships don’t work out for guys like him. Yet something about Camille—the way she sees him, the way she trusts him—starts to shift his thinking. And before long, the man who was just stopping by to check on her is the one fighting hardest to stay.

There’s tenderness in this story that lingers, with just the right amount of spice and heat (pun very much intended). Lilah Hart gives us a hero who knows how to take care of people without overstepping, and a heroine who doesn’t play damsel—she just needed someone who showed up.

Wrong Number, Right Firefighter is for everyone who believes love can show up when you least expect it… even if you were just trying to order pizza. It's sweet, sexy, a little chaotic, and full of genuine heart.

Highly recommend for fans of protective heroes, accidental romance, and love stories that begin with laughter and end with forever.

Camille just wanted to order a pizza, but a hot firefighter showed up instead!
Camille was staying in a rental cabin in Wildwood Valley, so she could finish her grad school application. When she was done, she decided to celebrate with a margarita - the first real alcohol she had ever had, which was perhaps a bit too strong. Thinking that a pizza would help the fuzziness, she got out the binder that the owner had left with important information. Finding the pizza place listed along with emergency contacts, she dialed the number. But the guy who answered the phone said it was the fire station and they didn't deliver pizza. Well, that was a disservice to hangry women everywhere. On the other hand, she thought she just flirted with a firefighter.
Scoop told himself that it was just a welfare check, and it was mostly that. But there was something about the woman who called trying to order pizza that got under his skin. So he went out to the cabin she was staying in to make sure she was okay. Please let her be okay. He found her passed out, but when she opened her bright green eyes, he wasn't sure he could walk away.
This was a fun little story, with a drunk woman who just wanted some bacon on her pizza, but got so much more! Not to mention a firefighter who got the most important call of his life! Cute story and fun banter.

Some Mistakes End in Happiness -
Camille only made a drunken phone call to order food, but what she got instead was gorgeous hunk as a gift that changed her life. When Scoop received the call to the emergency line, his protective instincts kicked when he realised the caller was on her own and drunk, so he decided to go and check on her. Scoop and Camille’s initial interaction was awkward, but they spent time getting to know each other, whilst he made food for her.

Unfortunately, Scoop had to return to work due to an emergency, but he decided to return the moment he was able to do so, as Camille had made a proposition before he left, which he definitely wanted to accept. Scoop realised during his time with Camille, that his previous mindset of not being able to make a relationship work was because he hadn’t met the right partner, so he convinced her to take a chance with him on working together towards a happy future.

I really enjoyed reading this cozy romance story, that is perfect for a Friday evening where you just curl up on the sofa with a hot drink or a glass of wine. It is a definite must read book.

One wrong number. One unexpected night. Everything changes.

Camille (h) planned for a quiet weekend to finish her grad school application. One strong margarita later, she’s accidentally calling the local fire station instead of a pizza place. Scoop (H), the gruff firefighter on the other end, can’t ignore the storm, her voice, or the feeling that he needs to check on her.

What starts as a simple check-in turns into an unexpected connection. She’s inexperienced but determined to claim her own choices. He’s protective, careful, and not used to letting anyone close. Sparks fly as they push past walls neither planned to break.

Camille begins to step into her own confidence, learning to trust her instincts and embrace new experiences. Scoop wrestles with his guarded heart, finding himself drawn to someone who sees past his rough edges. Together, they discover a pull that feels impossible to ignore.

A steamy, instalove, firefighter, grumpy sunshine, small town romance, exploring love, self-discovery, vulnerability, new beginnings, empowerment, and unexpected connection. It’s about vulnerability, personal growth, and the kind of love that feels like a risk worth taking.

Camille had found the only rental cabin in town online, and was staying there. However, she thought she could order food after settling in, but she was wrong. She made herself margaritas and after a few she was looking for pizza delivery and so she called the number, but, it ended up being the fire department. While speaking with them and drunk arguing on her part, which is hilarious, Scoop, decides to go check on her. That’s a cute and funny part too. She had decided to celebrate and do some writing for her grad school application to Edenridge for clinical psych. They talk for a bit and he makes her some food and that is adorable all by itself and they get along well. Things get flirty and then cute and steamy and romantic. I found them to be so cute together and the book to be fun and quick. Too quick. lol. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

It All Began with Pizza and a Wrong (Oh, SO Right) Number!!!

A Wrong Number Worth Answering!!!

This short, steamy read had me grinning from the first page. Camille’s accidental call to the fire hall instead of the pizza place sets the stage for a flirty, fast-paced romance that’s equal parts sweet and spicy. Scoop, the grumpy-yet-irresistible firefighter, may not have been what she ordered, but the sparks that fly between them make it clear he’s exactly what she needed.

In just one hour, this story delivers a fun premise, instant chemistry, and a swoon-worthy happily ever after. Perfect for when you want a feel-good romance you can devour in a single sitting—complete with a dash of heat and a big dose of charm.

What an outstanding ebook. Just imagine you've had too much to drink and not being a drinker you accidentally text the wrong number. Well Camille just did that trying to order pizza delivery. Scoop gets the call and feels a pull towards her and needs to find out if she's okay. Camille is never drinking again though she just might change her mind when she looks into the eyes of Scoop a dreamy hot firefighter there to rescue her. What will happen when the chemistry between them starts to heat up? Will Scoop and Camille have found happily ever after or will they feel it's just too soon? This very talented author will answer these questions and keep your interest as things get even hotter. I absolutely recommend you get this most spicy exciting 5⭐️winner I know you'll just love. I certainly did.

Camille is enjoying a margarita and looking out a gigantic picture window in the rental cabin she found online, and it was the only one in town. It was a minimally habited town, not many businesses either. She had gotten food for breakfast tomorrow, but she was hungry now and pizza sounded really good. She went to stand up and promptly fell down. The almost empty glass she has in her hands was her first real drink ever. The owner had left a binder in the kitchen, so she would order pizza for dinner. Soon as she could get to the kitchen.

Firefighter romance.
Camille is a young woman who came to a rental cabin to get away from her life. While she thought she was calling to order a pizza, she came across the fire station and, having had a little too much to drink, she started talking to the firefighter before losing consciousness.
Scoop is a firefighter in a small town. When he receives Camille's call, he can't help but worry about her. He then decides to see if everything is okay. Unfortunately, he was called to an intervention that interrupts their date.
Will Camille and Scoop have a beautiful story or will Scoop's intervention also signal the end of their brief romance...

Camillle is renting a cabin for the weekend, and trying to call for a pizza after having her first margarita, but the call goes to the firestation instead, and Scoop answers the call and is so intrigued by her that he goes over to check on her and later returns to, you know, just make sure that she's ok.

This was a short fun story in a cute series of mistakes that is actually fate, I've read quite a number of the author's stories now, they're all well written, some might be a little OTT but still feel realistic in a way, and always good entertaininment. You can't go wrong with a book from Ms Hart!.

Camille has led a very sheltered life so a weekend of freedom is exactly what she needs. One drink is all it would take to make her tipsy and now she finds herself calling the fire station to order a pizza.

At first Scoop was a little irritated with the call from Camille but that soon turns to concern, and he decides to make sure that she is alright. When he arrives he can’t deny his feelings for her and now not only doesn’t he want to leave he can’t imagine a future without her.

Although their life experiences are very different she opens his heart to the possibility of love while he wants to share all the firsts she hasn’t yet experienced with her.

I loved how Camille ended up calling the firestation by accident. That interaction was hilarious, and realistically alcohol infused. Scoop was such a good guy, going above and beyond (though even he knew it was more personal than professional). We don't get a whole lot of background, but enough to understand why Camille makes the decisions she does. I appreciated the plotline giving our characters some time to ensure they were thinking straight before anything really transpired. Still, to find out just what actually happened you need to read this short little gem.

Pizza delivery

Wrong Number, Right Firefighter by Lilah Hart is part of the multi-author Wrong Number, Right Guy series. This story made me laugh and swoon. It all starts when Camille had a strong margarita on an empty stomach and then phones for a pizza to be delivered. But when she misdials and it goes to the local Fire Station Scoop answers. Their exchange is funny and sweet, and also does something to Scoop that makes him want to make sure she is okay. So off her goes to find the woman from the call, which sets off a whole other series of events leading to one unexpected ending.

Wrong Number, Right Firefighter is part of the multi-authored Wrong Number, Right Guy series. It's a short and steamy, age-gap, instalove, OTT, wrong number, curvy virgin gets her firefighter romance. Camille is a 23-year-old sweet and curvy grad student who has been raised by strict parents. She has rented a cabin to get away for the weekend. Scoop is a hunky firefighter. When Camille drunkenly calls the fire station to order a pizza, Scoop gets the call. He goes to check on her and is immediately drawn to the curvy beauty. These two were sweet together. They had great chemistry and we got a wonderful HEA. I loved it.

Wrong Number, Right Firefighter is part of the Wrong Number, Right Guy Series.

This was a super cute read. Camille goes to a cabin to live her life a little bit and gets a bit tipsy. Along the way she calls the wrong number to order a pizza. Scoopy answers the phone and as a firefighter, he comes to her rescue. These two hit it off from the start. What started as a simple mistaken phone call turned into a HEA neither was expecting.

This was a cute read and I loved seeing the characters transform into who they were by knowing the other person.

This short novella made for a good diversion during my lunch break. The FMC accidently calls the local fire station instead of a pizza delivery place and the MMC figures he should go check on her since she is obviously very drunk. It was absolutely instant lust/love which was to be expected considering the length of the book.

While it's not a book I would read again, it was a good short story that was heavy on spice, light on plot, and included an epilogue for the HEA.

Considering the relatively short length of the novel, I found it to be quite enjoyable. I particularly enjoyed the connection between Camille and Scoop; their chemistry was definitely a highlight. While I would have appreciated a more extensive storyline, it's understandable that there are limitations to what can be included in a quick, engaging read. The brisk pace made for a fun and effortless reading experience, leaving me with a strong desire to read more from the author!.

Wow it is interesting what happens next between them! ;-)

Camille is in a remote cabin writing but didn’t think to pick supplies up for dinner
After drinking a margarita she in desperate need of some food, rings up the pizza place to get a delivery except she ends up speaking to Scoop a firefighter, she’s Calle the fire station!!

Scoop decides to head to the cabin and check on her.
The night takes an unexpected turn, will either of them be the same in the morning.

This was a great read from Lilah Hart, a short palette cleanser between longer reads.

I loved this entire story but the beginning was absolutely fantastic. Camille insisted that she was calling a pizzeria even though the person on the other end swore it was the fire department. Scoop feel hard and fast when he went to do a wellness check on the woman who tried ordering a pizza from him. You'll need to take the time to read this adorable story to see how they went from this beginning to their HEA. I hope you enjoy this sweet instalove novela as much as I did.
