On Her Knees

She dated a monster. He married another woman. Fed up, she left. Now Chicago will burn.

In Chicago's underworld, loyalty is currency and betrayal is a death sentence.

Tony Carter built an empire on blood money—controlling the city’s drug trade with ruthless precision while hiding behind the facade of a legitimate real estate developer. He has everything… Power. Wealth., Connections to a dangerous cartel. Everything except control over the one woman who controls his heart. The only person in the world with the capability to destroy him!

Lashan knows too much. She's seen behind the curtain of his empire, and now she's running, desperate to escape a man who broke the rules when he married another woman. A woman completely unaware of the world she just stepped into. It is a world that Lashan is now ready to leave behind as she discovers something about herself that will surprise her. Something that was there all along.

Rashad, Tony's most trusted enforcer, is ordered to find her. Bring her back. Or eliminate the problem permanently. But the order is hard to fulfil. Killing women is not his thing. And killing this woman is something he just doesn’t see himself doing. The lines between duty and betrayal begin to blur.

As tensions escalate and the cartel demands expansion, everyone will be forced to their lives or their freedom. Their loyalty or their conscience. Their survival or their soul. Because in Tony Carter's world, no one leaves without permission.

Read along in this page-turning, hard hitting drama, set in a big city where power and money reign and love is a winner-takes-all game!

Smokey Moment

It all started one day in March of 2018. I was bored. There was nothing to watch on television. And the moment of silence prompted a memory. A flashback to a time I wrote movies in a notebook. Small scenes jotted down for no particular reason. Something compelled me to make a move. I jumped up and ran to my computer, anxious to tell a story of which I could see clearly. The scenes of my cleverly crafted idea so wildly vivid. A face. A name. And twisted plots that would rival any movie.

I began typing. The keystrokes were fervent. Soon one sentence gave way to twenty. One hundred words grew to seventeen thousand. And before I knew it, I had a short story. Proof that anything is possible. So, you might ask if I always wanted to be a writer? Was it somewhere in the back of my mind? No! It wasn’t. But I knew I was creative. And I knew I could tell a story. The rest is history. Now I can say I wrote a book that became a best seller. Downloaded for many book lovers to read and enjoy. And the journey is still fresh. There is so much more to write. I am just getting started!

Badly written

I felt like I was in the first grade reading this. I stopped forcing myself to struggle on page 84. As much as I want to know where the story line goes, I don’t have time to re-read every sentence

War over ❤️ Love😍😍😍

It's about to get really ugly real quick. Tony thinks he owns you because he done had sex with you and you suppose to let him do whatever he wants to you (verbal, physical, mental abuse why you sit back and let him walk all over you). LaShan got tired and decided to leave after she found out about him loving or let him tell it at the time "like her" instead of saying what it really was he wants power over Shalene for connection and whatever other reasons. And she fell for the bs due to being lonely (ain't no way we she got 2 sons). #GOTTOBEMORECAREFUL 🔥🔥🔥 GREAT READ 🔥 🔥🔥 LETS 👀 WHAT REALLY HAPPENS IN BOOK 2!!!!!

Good Read…

It was a bit slow at first but picked up. Not sure why Lashan didn’t just leave Chicago like Rashad suggested. To me that was dumb. I get Tony has a far reach but at least try to leave!!! Staying in the city while you’re running from someone crazy isn’t the smartest move! Either way can’t wait to see what happens and how it all unfolds because Tony is definitely crazy and will find out.

On Her Knees is a gripping urban drama that pulls you straight into a world of power, betrayal, and dangerous love. The emotional tension between the characters feels raw and intense, especially as loyalty and personal freedom collide. The story moves at a strong pace with high stakes, making it hard to put down. It’s a bold, hard-hitting read that keeps you invested in every decision and consequence.

I wasn’t expecting this story to play out like it did but I’m so glad there’s a part 2.. it’s kept my attention morning, noon and well after midnight! One problem though.. I wish someone would proof read/edit these books because some of these mistakes or typos had m
e having to reread some lines to ensure it made sense.. otherwise I’m heading over to book 2!
