The Purrfect Crime at Holly Street: A Cozy Mystery of Cats, Croissants, and Clues

Rate this book
Emma Frost’s life is in free fall—her job’s gone viral for all the wrong reasons, her bank account is one click from overdraft, and her only roommate is a judgmental cat named Biscuit. When a family emergency drags her back to Holly Street—a postcard-perfect town with too many secrets—Emma plans to lay low, regroup, and maybe sell a few cupcakes.

But when a local influencer turns up dead (in suspiciously glamorous fashion), Emma’s quiet comeback turns into a crime scene. Between a brooding detective with an inconvenient jawline, a best friend who thinks everything can be solved with caffeine, and a town obsessed with appearances, Emma finds herself juggling murder, muffins, and midlife chaos.

Armed with sarcasm, coffee, and a cat with zero respect for personal space, Emma must decide whether to run from her past or face it—before the killer makes her next headline.

A sharp, witty cozy mystery about second chances, small-town secrets, and the messiest kind of love—the kind that sneaks up on you while you’re sweeping up cat hair.

A case where the auther often says, but doesn't tell and elaborate. I see a lot of potential to have become so much more.

Not a book to take truly seriously, but I enjoyed the story nonetheless :)
