Golden Hour is beautiful. From start to finish, reading this book feels exactly like being at the beach and being kissed by the sun. I’ve always believed books are portals to different worlds and reading Golden Hour is the perfect vacation getaway. I fell in love with the characters and the island so fast that now I’m stuck waiting patiently for the second book! Nailah is sunshine personified and Dante is a dream. Georgie is comical and Ms. Evers is sweet. Each character is specially thought out and written and the character development in both the main and side characters is so heart warming to see. Additionally, the main love story between Nailah and Dante makes this the perfect romance since you’ll be smiling like an idiot kicking your feet in the air. The same way I’ve felt watching Disney princess movies is how I felt reading Golden Hour. For that reason, I’d recommend Golden Hour to anyone who needs a reminder of what love can be and what love is. Whether it’s between lovers, friends, or family.
