Sariah Steward has everything she’s worked for. A good job, a beautiful home, and peace. But peace is hard to hold when a serial burglar is terrorizing her city. She’s cautious but comfortable… until the night her worst fear walks through her front door. Only, he doesn’t want her money. He wants her. Caught between fear and fascination, Sariah becomes the only thing standing between Dante and total destruction. But can love survive when it’s born out of blood, secrets, and obsession? Because this time, when he broke in, he didn’t come to steal her things. He came to steal her heart.
I had difficulty connecting with the characters in this one. How the hell does a man break into your home, give you a sob story, and you immediately ride off into the sunset with him??? 👀😮🤯 Where are we doin' that at? 😨 I understood the rationale for Dante's actions, but how did he fall in love with a person he had never met, or ever spoke to? Then Sariah girl.... where did the feelings of love blossom from? You ain't know ish about this man!! 👀😤
The craziest scenario can be the one you never expected to turn to love. What do you do when the one closest to you turns on you🤔? Sometime too much protection can cause more harm than good. No child nor spouse she ever endure harm from anime that was to protect them. Let’s chat!
Now I didn’t know what to expect out of this read, but I can say I wasn’t expecting what I read 🤭! Who would have thought a bad night could turn into love! Though she wasn’t looking for love or trouble she got extract that with Dante🥰. The mystery of this man is what I thought attracted him to her. What I didn’t expect was Dante to be the reason for a family reunion. Though he gave her everything and more as well as trust her, he didn’t expect her tell anyone the details of the union🫣. Just never know who you can or can’t trust. Just know I was complete speechless when all was said and done.
Dante was not the 🥷🏽 to mess with. He had no issues to handle the business that needed to handled. The childhood trauma he experienced was one no child should experience😔! My heart felt his pain! The way this man handled all parties 🤏🏾! Karma is a mug and she’s my best friend🤭. I was speechless knowing he been feeling her for sometime! Then the Uncle🫣 who would’ve thought. However when it comes to Sariah he gave her the world but when those close to you turns on you 😔🫣! I honestly don’t know how I would handle the news that Sariah learned.
This was a deep and intense short read but it was good. Robin did that with this short read. I honestly could’ve had more.
This book felt like it was written from the minds of the girls who say we want peace but secretly crave a little chaos. The ones who joke about being kidnapped by a rich, slightly deranged man but deep down wonder… What if he actually meant it? that’s the energy this book gives.
Sariah and Dante’s story isn’t sweet. it’s messy, obsessive, and addicting. You don’t just read it you feel it.You need to see how far they’ll go for each other, what lines they’ll cross, and who will survive the fallout.
It’s the kind of love that burns too hot, the kind that leaves scars but still makes you reach for the flame. Their connection was intense. unconventional. Not everyone will understand it, and that’s what makes it so haunting.
Some tried to destroy them, and sometimes, pressure really does break the pipes… but in the end, dante learns that sometimes the greatest act of love is letting go, especially when the world sees you as a wanted serial killer.
This was a good read per usual. Robin never misses with her books. Sariah and Dante were the angel and demon but it all worked out for the both of them. Sad the mom did the shady crap she did. The uncle was a real one for protecting his neice and sister from monas husband. Dante went after all the corrupt politicians that wronged his sister. Sariah was his peace and sometimes thats all someone needs when theres a storm within
This short story was so amazing! I remember when Robin had a snippet of it in her psychological thriller anthology book and I loved it so much that I hoped she continue the story. The characters and the plot was good and the twist in it shocked me. I also liked the connection between Seriah and Dante. Robin did great finishing this story and would most definitely recommend it if you’re into psycho thrillers and need a good short to eat right on up
This is my time reading a book by this author and let me tell you this book was so good. This suspense was on point and the love connection between Sariah and Dante was electric. Imagine going to sleep only to wake up to a sound of the floor creaking. And you come face to face with HIM, baaaaby the way my bag would have started swinging. This book was so good and I loved Dante and Sariah’s love connection. I highly recommend everyone to read it.
Although is was a very short. This was wild and I loved it all. If you love a good romance with a lot of drama, trauma, and betrayal. This book is a must read. I can't believe Sariah momma turned around and did them like that. In the end Dante was every thing Sariah needed. I loved the Ending!
