**5 Hilarious Stars**
Tom is a bachelor, who is against relationships and believes only in one night stands and no strings attached kind of relationships. Hailey is his sister's best friend who comes back in town, all grown up woman and not the tomboy he used to remember. Hailey had a crush on him when she was younger, but she knows that he's against commitment. How will they handle the chemistry that it's apparent between them? Will they both settle for what they can have or will this lead to more? The real question is will Hailey be able to tame the Cat?

I really enjoyed this book. The writing was excellent and had captured me since the first pages. Daisy has an incredible talent in writing male POV. After Tangled, it was another male POV that won me over with the smartass, flirting and teasing comments coming out of Tom's mouth. It was brilliant I'm telling you! I loved his character and he has another girl on his long list of fans, swooning over his dimples and his silly pick up lines.

This was a really light, drama-free story, which was also fun and made me laugh out loud several times, giggle and have a silly smile on my face while reading this. I also appreciated that this book was written about adults , acting according their age and not like silly teenagers. I think their conversations and their actions were truly mature and this is aimed to an adult audience.
Daisy Prescott has earnt my respect and added another fan in her list. I now need to read more from her! Especially John's story in Ready to Fall ^_^ I recommend this book to be read by anyone who likes a light and fun read, written in strictly male POV. This can be read as a stand alone, but it's also part of a series.

2/22 THIS BOOK IS LIVE!!! Go get it. Seriously. GET. IT.
I loved this book.
It was sexy, hilarious, heartfelt, and just plain wonderful.
Tom (Cat) is a self described man-whore and the book is written entirely from his perspective (WHICH I LOVED). He is so charming, I just wanted to give him a hug... and maybe a kiss.
I don't want to give too much away because I really feel like you should go into this book as blind as possible; but, I will tell you:
1. Tom goes through a believable journey of self-discovery, and I loved every minute of it
2. The heroine is smart and fantastic. I loved her.
3. The supporting characters and environment add so much richness to this book; I felt fully immersed and didn't want to stop reading (... not even to shower... DON'T JUGE ME!!!)
4. This book is phenomenally well written. Just... *so* well written. It's such a delight to read this book, it flows, it moves you, and not once was I pulled out of a scene by unbelievable dialogue, bad grammar, or stupid/odd/discordant character decisions. Really, really a joy to read.
So, GET IT

4 Reformed Stars.
For all his life, Tom was always a playboy. He goes from woman to woman with no commitment and no regrets. Well… at least he’s honest about it. All that changes when his sister’s best-friend who recently moved back from the island and works with him, proposes him a one-night stand. Just one time and no strings. He knows he shouldn’t accept, but he can’t resist. From that day on, everything changes for him and he finds out that for the first time in his life he wants a woman for more than one time and he wants her for more than sex. But how does a manwhore that never committed realizes that he too, can be boyfriend material?
Well, get ready because Tom is going to tell you the story of how does one playboy gets retired from the game.
This was my first reading from Daisy Prescott, but now I’ve got to jump on the previous books of this series. This was a refreshing reading, not only because of its good humor, but also because it didn’t need too much drama or angst to be a beautiful love story.
Daisy Prescott writes wonderfully and I love how smart her sense of humor is. In a way she reminds me of Penny Reid, which automatically makes her “to-go author” at my eyes, considering Penny is one of my favorite authors.
If you need a light and funny book, with a sweet and romantic storyline, this book is a great choice. Give it a try!

Characters Development: If there are books that benefit for being written in male POV’s, this was one of them, Being inside Tom’s mind, not only was hilarious but allowed us to see his character grow from a playboy to a really sweet guy in love. Especially because for a playboy who grew up with sisters, he could be pretty oblivious when it came to women’s feelings. I liked him! Hailey was pretty good too! She was sassy and sweet and I love how she was a bit of a tomboy, she distance herself from the “girly girly” heroine and it was really refreshing to read.

...And Daisy Prescott does it again! delivering yet another story with the beautiful island setting and wonderful characters that will make you laugh until your belly hurts.
Thomas Donnely is a man-whore; a very nice and good looking one at that but he just doesn't do commitment. He doesn't even date, he barely does a repeat with a woman, he's all about having fun, working and hanging out with his friends and family.
Hailey King is Tom's sister's best friend, and they've known each other since they were kids but recently Hailey moved back into town and after breaking up her engagement she's decided she wants to find out what's all the fuss, about how good the "Tom Cat" is...
Tom and Hailey hook up and the chemistry between them is too good, making them a perfect match but Hailey is scared to fall for Tom, since he has a reputation of being a player, so she's being very cautious. Tom knows he likes Idaho, aka Hailey, a lot and that she is different from all the women he's used to hanging out with but before he takes a step into the dating territory, he needs to go through the motions of growing up and shedding his old ways.
Tom's friends and family were amazing secondary characters and complemented the story beautifully. Reading about Tom as a friend, a brother, an uncle and as a lover was fifty shades of awesome and even though he's a man-whore, you can't help but fall for his charms the minute your start reading his story. Hailey was the perfect love interest for him, she was easy going, smart and very independent and she was not going to put up with his non-sense and that's exactly what he needed to finally realize that is okay to love and be loved by only one woman.
This story is pure fun and beauty, a total feel good book that I recommend everyone to read and also check out this author's other books.

This was good, not earth shattering good, but you know what I mean. I think my problem was my expectation to be wowed into seeing a manwhore finally fall to his knees for the right woman. I've seen this done many times, but my favorite books using this trope made me feel the change in my bones. Watching the hero slowly come to the realization that he was in love but trying his best to deny it, I loved that. But it has to be done dramatically, and I don't mean useless drama-- I mean the emotions coming off the pages have to be palpable.
Here, the emotions lagged for me. Tom coming to the conclusion he cared for Hailey wasn't that big of a deal it seemed. Or maybe it was me and my expectations. Anyways, this was cute, funny and had a nice epilogue/ending.

Confessions, 34 of them. Daisy Prescott, cleverly headed each chapter with one of Tom’s confessions. They brought insight to the thoughts and ideals of the self-proclaimed manwhore.
Tom Donnely does two things well, he welds, and he hooks up.�� Not desiring to change, he has always had the same job in his family company, he doesn’t date, doesn’t do relationships and isn’t the marrying kind. But when Tom loses his “wingman”, John to a woman he begins to analyze his life, and wonders is being alone ok, or is it lonely. Is Tom the Cat being reformed?
When Hailey King decides she wants a one night stand with the man she had a crush on in middle school, she puts aside the rumors she has heard about his philandering ways and focuses on the ones about his “skills” in the bedroom. She isn’t looking for a relationship, she just ended one.
To have anything more than a one night stand, means lying to Lori, his sister and Hailey’s best friend. Will they keep up the lies? Or give up the relationship?
This book was a light, refreshing, laugh out loud read. No unnecessary drama, no whining, no OTT, this book came at the perfect time for me. I adored Tom. He was funny, and sexy. I loved the strong and sassy Hailey. She didn’t give up who she was in order to be with Tom. Rather, because she maintained who she was, Tom became attracted. Hailey could see beyond the exterior Tom showed everyone else, to see the kind man he really was. Their chemistry was perfect and their banter was hilarious! They were a perfect couple!

Ahhh a sweet and romantic, easy read. Sometimes that's all you need isn't it?
I love the man tamed from his manwhoring ways by the love of a good woman plot and the male narration gave this a fresh edge. It was also warm and witty and nicely balanced with some poignant moments. There was virtually no angst and good smut. Not startlingly original or anything but I liked this lots anyways.

I really had a blast being in Thomas Clifford Donnely's head. I loved his frankness and sense of humor. Hailey was an excellent match for him, and I enjoyed watching them both fall into each other in spite of their claim of only wanting a casual hit and quit it non-relationship.
There were some really cool supporting characters in this installment of Modern Love Stories. I think Tom's paternal grandfather Pops was by far my favorite. He was a wise old dude and funny, too.
One of my many favorite moments sums up why I enjoyed this novel's perfect blend of reflection, humor, flirty and sexy moments.
“I know myself well enough to know I’d be a disaster at the boyfriend thing.”
She studied me, running her index finger along her bottom lip. I squirmed as her examination continued.
“What?” I finally whispered.
“Maybe you don’t see yourself as clearly as you think you see others.”
“We never do.”
I swallowed the last of my water and brushed my hands on my jeans. “So, you want to have sex now?”
Coffee sputtered out of her mouth and hit the table. “What? No!”
I pressed my lips together. “Didn’t think so, but it was worth the shot.”
“Have you not paid attention at all? To anything?”
“I’m teasing. Remember? It’s what you and I do. You’ve made it pretty clear sex isn’t going to happen. While I can’t say I’m not bummed, I understand and respect it. Doesn’t mean I won’t still flirt with you. It’s my first language.”
This year in the life of one Tom Cat is one that I'll remember very fondly.

I was hooked from the very beginning and I just couldn't help but love Tom even with his whoring ways lol.

Tom's friends and family were quite amazing additions to the story, the closeness between the family and friends was great to see. I was hooked from the very beginning and I just couldn't help but love Tom even with his whoring ways lol.
Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat is my first read by the lovely Daisy Prescott and I can't wait to read more of her work. Her writing is flawless and absolutely beautiful.
Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat is book four in the Modern Love Stories series. It can be read as a standalone romantic comedy/contemporary romance told in male POV. It features languages and situations suited for adult readers.

I know what you are thinking: "Oh, great, another book about a suave, rich, jerk-faced, unrepentant man-whore who carelessly uses and discards women like toilet paper because his mommy never loved him." WRONG. So wrong
I love Tom. Do you know why Tom gets ladies so easily? Because Tom is awesome. He's a manly-man, bearded, outdoorsy, capable with a chainsaw, motorcycle, boats and welding torches. Yeah, girls, he'll chop wood for your fire and keep it stoked all night. But, he's also honest, handsome, charming and dimpled, kind, funny, artistic (in a manly way) and loves his family and friends with all of his heart. He's not ashamed to cry or to sit at the kids table at Thanksgiving. He's also got a nearly endless supply of tourist-ladies who love a bit of vacation fun.
Tom's also not a superficial douche:
Confession Time: It takes a lot for me to not want to sleep with a woman. Size didn't matter if she had confidence.
Age didn't matter if she didn't act old. Language barriers? Not a problem and sometimes a bonus. As long as there was chemistry, I could make it work.
So I ask you, can we really hate on a man who enjoys what's freely given when he's not interested in settling down? Heck, no! I'm jealous, actually.
Because I really loved Tom, I thought the all-hero POV was fun. I like hero perspective on love and life. But I will be honest and say that while this was funny and had steam and very likeable characters, it fell a little short in the romance department.
There wasn't much conflict, just Tom's ridiculously long journey to the realization that he loved Hailey. It went as follows: sort-of-friends who do it, then stop and try to be real friends then date and fall in love.
Their road to love is actually the least fun and interesting part of the book. Tom's life, in general, was a hoot. I loved him and his family and Hailey was a bonus because she was cool. As a romance reader, I was a little bummed that it wasn't more fantastical. I'd have liked more conflict and "awww"-inspiring romance. Hence the 4-stars.

This was a sweet, comical, romantic story. I have not read any others in this series, so I would say this one is a connected standalone.
It follows Tom Donnely(AKA Tom Cat) as he navigates his love life. He doesn't do relationships. Only "no strings" sex, but he's not an asshole. The girls know what they're getting with Tom beforehand. He doesn't lead them on or promise them things he can't deliver on.Tom sticks to his "no strings" policy, until he sees Hailey again.
Hailey, or Idaho as Tom calls her, is Tom's sister's best friend that has recently come back to Whidbey Island. Growing up Hailey was a tom boy and Tom picked on her constantly. Hailey has grown up now and is a knock out with mile long legs. She propositions Tom for one night of sex. That one night turns into multiple nights and what ensues throughout the book is the two trying to come to terms with their relationship.
There is very little angst, no misunderstood communication or situations, no lies, no cheating and they handle their relationship like 2 mature adults. This book doesn't have the 20 year old's running away every time there's a fight or not communicating when there's a problem, which I appreciated. It's a mature book for adults. I very much liked that about this book.
The side characters are WONDERFUL. Tom has a huge family and each one plays some part in this story.
The entire book was from Tom's perspective and Daisy Prescott done a fantastic job writing as such. She made Tom charming, lovable, cute, funny, witty and sexy. I still liked and understood Hailey even though I had no direct insight to her mind. I enjoyed this book and writer and will be checking out her other books.

Since Daisy Prescott first introduced us to the interesting and love able inhabitants of Whidbey Island in her book Geoducks are for Lovers, I've truly enjoyed all of her Modern Love Story series. Each book tells the story of different, yet interconnected, characters, and is always the perfect mix of romance and humour.
Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat is no different. Tom Donnelly--the eponymous hero--is a confirmed bachelor and island lothario, more interested in welding, sculpting and hook-ups than ever settling down with one woman. That is, until "Idaho" walks though his door.
With the real name of Hailey King, Idaho is his sister's childhood friend, but now she's all grown up with legs that catch his eye. And without realizing it, Tom is falling for her hook, line and sinker. Which is kind of funny because they both work at a boat yard!
Each chapter brings us a different confession, but what I truly enjoyed about the book was how we the readers were able to see through Tom's delusions, knowing he was falling in love with Hailey even if he was lying to himself about it. There are sad parts too--emotional writing that allows us to see the depth of feeling Tom has for his family--but these are important to demonstrate the growth of Tom as a character.
Having read the book in one day, I'm delighted to say Ms.Prescott has bit it out of the ball park once again.

4.5 this was my first Daisy Prescott book and I was pleasantly surprised. I completely fell in love with these characters and their family. This can be read as a standalone but I'm almost positive the other books in the series are of each family member. Def bumping the others on my TBR list because now I must read everyone's story. This was the perfect amount of sweet, laughter and spicy. Tom was just enough of an arsehole for me to fawn over but also had a softer side that I grew to love. I highly recommend.

This was such a fun and light read. I loved it! My first Daisy Prescott book but not my last. It was full of great emotion. Loved the family and friend dynamic. Very little angst and just what I needed.

Fun, Lovable and Ensnared, Just Like Tom!
What do you get when you put together a self-professed bachelor and a tomboy who can hold her own? You get a fun, lovable, relatable tale of two people who become ensnared by love when they are least likely to experience it.
Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat by Daisy Prescott is a charming, fun tale told entirely from Tom’s POV. It’s sarcastic, it’s insightful and it’s entertaining. Watching Tom Donnely, a man who vows to never attach himself to any woman, get bitten by the love bug is a joy to experience!
Tom is your average 30-something lovable playboy who appreciates women no matter their age or size. He’s quite the charmer:
“Every woman, no matter her age or marital status, likes to feel charming and beautiful. A little flirting is good for the soul.”
Women are his weakness and because of that he manages to get into quite the shenanigans that had me laughing out loud while reading. I will never look at certain rodents, party snacks and Halloween parties in the same way! Despite Tom’s reputation for being quite the flirt, deep down he’s a contemplative guy who starts to question what he wants out of life when a certain woman comes into his life and turns it upside down. I enjoyed being inside Tom’s head. He thinks of himself as this aimless man who doesn’t do commitment, but as a reader, I can see Tom’s true self: that he loves his family, he makes older women feel better about themselves, he’s a hard worker, and he is an all around great guy.
Hailey is a unique heroine in that she’s a tomboy, but she secretly yearns to feel soft and feminine by a man. I love that she can go toe-to-toe with Tom’s sarcasm and that she doesn’t push Tom – so much so that his thoughts keep coming back to her, something that’s never happened with a woman before. Tom can’t stop thinking about bold and blunt Hailey and pretty soon he’s a fish caught on a lure and doesn’t even know it. Hailey understands him like no other woman and watching the slow progression of their relationship is touching.
I love being transported to the location of Whidbey Island off the coast of Washington. The story and the characters are immersed in this unique setting. Daisy writes this location well, and I can see the sites as clearly as if I’m watching them on a television screen.
The secondary characters are stellar in this book. John and Diane (from Ready to Fall) make many appearances, and the banter between Tom and Diane is so witty and entertaining. They argue like brother and sister. The addition of Ashley made for great comic relief. And Tom and John’s bromance is just plain fun to read. These two have a good, solid friendship, and Daisy highlights that well.

I am not sure what cave I have been living in, but Daisy Prescott you are AMAZING! Daisy Prescott is my new fan-girl crush, and I can't wait to dive into her backlist (turns out I own Geoducks are for Lovers) and gorge on her awesomeness.
When I picked up Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat I was hoping this would be good, but this book went beyond good and to one of my favorites of the year! I loved every single thing about this book. Yep. Every. Thing. If you have been reading my reviews for a while you know I can always find something I don't like in a book, (even in my favorite of 5 star reads), but Daisy Prescott nailed it! Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat is an excellent story from start to finish and I am so sad that it I finished this so fast that I have gone back and re-read most of this book again (or maybe some parts 2-3 times).
The characters in this story (I know some of these characters were introduced in Ready to Fall, which I will be reading very soon) are one of the best parts. I loved every character and their quirks, sassiness and unabashed sense of who they are. Tom and Hailey are some of the best characters I have read in long while. These two know who they are, what they want and don't pretend things aren't what they thought they would be. The emotions that these two go through are a real treat to read and Daisy Prescott did a fantastic job of giving the reader "the fall". We get to discover this love story along with Tom and Hailey and it was magical. The cast of secondary characters were amusing and added just the right touch to the story to make you want to go back and read all Daisy's other books just to see if they are in those too.
My next favorite thing (besides Tom) was the story told in Tom's POV and the dialogue. Both the POV from Tom and the witty, fast paced dialogue driven story is full of win for me. I loved getting into Tom's mind and really seeing what all he is going through with everything that happens to his character during Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat. Tom was sexy, just the right amount of dirty and easy to fall in love (or lust) with. His character took charge but kept up a sense of laid back at the same time. Daisy Prescott has a talent with dialogue, the conversations felt like real actual people were talking to you instead of reading words on a page. The connection the reader gets with Tom is special, letting you enjoy the ride without fear of the "big drama" lurking around the corner.
Are you ready to read Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat yet? You should be! If you love romance, humor and great characters, then this book is for you. Funny, sexy, and sweet. Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat is the total package!
Thomas Clifford Donnely is a confirmed bachelor. He’s an equal opportunist when it comes to women. He doesn’t want just one and he loves them all. He’s a natural charmer and flirt and he makes no apologies. You have to appreciate a man who is honest and upfront about what he wants. He doesn’t lead women on and they all know what they’re getting into. They know that they can count on him for a good time and shouldn’t have hopes for anything beyond that.
In short, I love Tom. He’s funny and a genuinely good guy. He loves his family, he works hard, he’s honest and real. And let’s face it, who doesn’t love a story about the ultimate bachelor falling in love? He’s George Clooney if he were a bit younger, wore flannel, and knew how to work his wood. Actual wood… like with a chainsaw. And the other kind, too. Every woman wants to be the one to tame the Tom Cat.
And witnessing Hailey be the to do that that is so much fun! I love her character. She doesn’t take any lip, especially from Tom, and she holds her own. She’s independent and sassy and smart and absolutely perfect for him. I loved their chemistry. Their playful banter and witty exchanges kept a goofy smile plastered on my face and made me laugh out loud more than a few times.
Daisy Prescott always has such well-developed characters. They have so much substance. They aren’t Hollywood perfect (which I think makes them even more perfect), they don’t lead glamorous lives, they are real. It always feels like I’m falling in love with real people. Her books are like coming home. They feel so warm and inviting and I feel like they’re my own friends. Every time I read a book, she surprises me by yet again creating these characters that I completely fall in love with.
Having said that, John Day from Ready to Fall (who makes many appearances throughout this book) has always been my favorite. John just has that something and he couldn’t be topped. Until now. Okay, so maybe not topped. It’s hard to definitively say since it’s been a year since I read John’s book but I think it’s safe to say that I loved Tom just as much. That, my friends, is saying a lot!
Read this book, people! While it can most definitely be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading all of Daisy’s books. They’re fantastic and character-driven and absolutely wonderful (and sexy!). But trust me, you have to meet Tom! You have to witness the Tom Cat be domesticated!

Her books are like coming home. They feel so warm and inviting and I feel like they’re my own friends. Every time I read a book, she surprises me by yet again creating these characters that I completely fall in love with.
Having said that, John Day from Ready to Fall (who makes many appearances throughout this book) has always been my favorite. John just has that something and he couldn’t be topped. Until now. Okay, so maybe not topped. It’s hard to definitively say since it’s been a year since I read John’s book but I think it’s safe to say that I loved Tom just as much. That, my friends, is saying a lot!
Read this book, people! While it can most definitely be read as a standalone, I highly recommend reading all of Daisy’s books. They’re fantastic and character-driven and absolutely wonderful (and sexy!). But trust me, you have to meet Tom! You have to witness the Tom Cat be domesticated!

I have been very anxious for Tom's story since we were first introduced to him in Ready to Fall. As John Day's close buddy and wingman, Tom Donnely is not the type of guy to settle down. His nickname of Tom Cat suits him perfectly yet the reintroduction to his sister's best friend, Hailey King, might finally lay that moniker to rest. Or at least one can hope!
This book was such a joy to read. It is in Tom's POV and each chapter has a subtitled confession of his which presumably lays out what will lie ahead. And what is so delightful about each confession is that as a total guy, Tom really believes his own words. But time and time again, his steadfast rules and status quo very slowly start to crumble.
What starts out as a friendship and working relationship quickly morphs into more between Tom and Hailey. Although she knows he is clearly not the type to settle down, she falls for him anyway. Their chemistry is undeniable but to truly tame a Tom Cat is unto itself a daunting task, and not one Hailey wants to abandon. However, with the addition of scorned former flames and a crazy, loving family in the Donnely's, Tom and Hailey's road to happiness is definitely a bumpy one.
Daisy Prescott continues to charm with this latest gem. Her humor and lighthearted yet completely masterful way of writing keeps me coming back for more. The way she is consistently able to combine passion with a side of comic relief is truly a gift. I found myself smiling often at both the antics and clueless confessions of our Tom Cat. He is such a wonderful character in that his honesty knows no bounds. Yet his sense of family, his love of his beloved Whidbey Island and for his close friends and collegues, brings out a side that just makes him more endearing even as you try to deny just how lovable he really is. It is no wonder every woman wants to tame him. He uses his dimples as a weapon and those that know him best will always see that carefree spirit that defines him.
This is a beautifully written book that I simply devoured. A friends to lovers with the hope of more kind of story that is worthy of everyone's time.
I look forward to hearing more from this ever expanding Whidbey Island crew and very happily give Confessions of a Reformed Tom Cat a huge 5 stars.

Une grosse partie de tout ce que je n'aime pas dans une romance en une ...
J'avais adoré le premier tome qui présentait un couple qui prenait le temps de se connaître. Ici, à part le sexe .... dommage sans la partie romance j'ai bien aimé Tom ... Mais je ne me décourage pas, je vais continuer la série !!
