UFO : The Complete Sightings

Rate this book
Research shows that strange, unexplained objects have been seen in the skies above our Earth for thousands of years before 1947, when U.S. airman Kenneth Arnold drew the attention of the modern world to the mystery of UFOs. Here, for the first time, is an historical catalog of sightings, presented in an objective style--with neither the passionate claims of the converted nor the skeptical "debunking" that refuses to acknowledge a single shred of evidence. In this comprehensive volume, Peter Brookesmith describes hundreds of UFO reports in chronological order and focuses in detail on the major cases. Each chapter covers a specific area with an analysis of the most intriguing aspects of each period as well as the details of cases in date order. 9" x 13". Color & b&w photos.

There were some interesting accounts and stories. As usual, the accompanying photos are always grainy, over/under exposed and similar to other photos. One or two reports were amusing in the book, such as the report where the football sized being had a conversation with a man about its intentions, where it was or was not from and other questions. The title of one other story, Fire In The Sky, has me wonder if this was the story of the man abducted and tortured from a movie of the same name in the early '90's.
This book may or may not be in my bookshelves at some point in the future. Overall, it is readable and interesting, but the question of, "Will I ever read it again?" presents itself to me.
