What a cliffhanger!!
That ride was wild to a degree. I'm going to be honest, it felt very slow in places & then parts were brilliant. The main characters were really good & the chemistry in the end felt real.
Thanks Ivy & Raven for another book I really liked reading.

After her father fails to pay a debt to the Mafia, that's just where London Callahan ends up. Mason Payne is captivated by London. He wants her for himself and to have her means more trouble than he realizes. House Of Payne is a good story with great characters. It seems to drag a bit but not so much that it takes away from the story. I love the characters and the chemistry between them is explosive. It'll be interesting to see how their story plays out in book 2

A captivating story of daughter paying for her father's debt, but with a twist to make things more interesting. A good story with wonderful characters with a few twists and turns to keep the story moving. It does end in a cliffhanger, so you'll want to read the next book too to see what happens next. London is living, what she feels is her best life, helping her dad/loving Noah.
Then Mason appears at the diner.
Mason is the heir apparent to the Payne family. He is trying to find a place to run the arms business and satisfy the family's two biggest allies.
Their attraction is genuine but neither is ready to admit it.
Mason is just using London. London is just paying off her dad's debt.
The book flow at times was slow but their connection seemed genuine.
The cliff hanger ending was a doozy.

London's dad borrowed money from some bad people to save his home and business and now the money is due. He can’t pay it back so London becomes payment so her father won’t be hurt. What a twisted decision makes when Mason declares her as his. This is a steamy and very intense read that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

She's a runaway bride who breaks away from the man her father wanted her to marry right into the path of one that Jack a man she once saved as a child. Their path begins and is filled with challenging twists and turns but when her ex reappears and start making waves will he come between her and Jack's newfound relationship. This story had me cheering these two on to getting their chance for happiness.

Londons father owes a debt and when the mafia come to collect they take her instead to the house of payne,  qhere billionaires desires come true, she thinks shell be a maid cleaning up, but when Mason spots her he makes her his, but at what cost! Well written engaging steamy slow paced at times, and a cliffy!

I enjoyed this entertaining and engaging dark Mafia Romance with drama, danger, attraction, secrets, and a possible HEA. This book ends on a cliffhanger, has a couple of slow sections, but overall is a very good storyline. The MCs are defined, engaging, and made for one another. I liked this book.

Dnf chapter 11. I loathe that type of heroine. Bratty but dumb as hell, pretending to be virtuous but a filthy woman of the worst kind "because I'm forced to do so so that's ok".
I just can't identify with her in any way so I'm stopping there.

Mason thought he was going to screw London and go on about his business. He did not expect her to be a distraction while she decides what she wanted from him. She can not let go of her new life but it puts her in danger and now she has to make the hard decision of which path she will now travel.

This ending has me confused. There is no ending. There isn't even a cliffhanger. I still deciding whether I want to read the next book. London's father proved one thing. Her mother was right to leave him long ago. Only thing she should have taken London with her.
