“SHANE!” Lorie and Addie shout, their faces taking up most of the hologram floating over my wrist. “Did they let you call, finally?” Addie asks.
“Yeah, it’s the weekend, again,” I say, dropping under a palm tree and stretching my legs out in front of me. “I spent the last week getting my butt handed to me,” I add, rubbing my neck. Oh, it’s not because I’m feeling sheepish—it’s because the entire group has been trying to pull off Sandra’s “planting” trick without earth powers. I’ve had my head slammed into the sand so many times these past few weeks, I’m not even joking.
Oh, but I should probably introduce myself, shouldn’t I? Even if I’m on Maui’s island right now, I’m still a Cape High student. I swear they go around with a hidden psychic app, checking to make sure we do the mental self-introduction at least once a week. My name is Shane. I’m the son of two of the West Hall’s Foundation members, Pika and Gibby. Dad’s a Maui warrior, Mom’s a werewolf shifter. That makes me a very hairy, and sometimes furry, tank.
Okay, yeah, that’s not going to get me a very good grade, is it? Oh well, I’m barely passing posing class, as it is, so it’s not like that’s a new thing.
The Cape High books are my go to when I want something to read that cheers me up and entertains me at the same time. Though you might think that this was “just” a children’s series, it’s really good for all ages. I love all the characters. I love the way they interact, I love the day-to-day scenes and the action scenes and I look forward to every new installment. There’s no gratuitous sex there’s no foul language. There are no traumatizing scenes although some bad things happen occasionally. The difference is that there’s always redemption, but there’s also justice, and an overall sense of love throughout the entire series. Sea Wolf was no exception, and though we are on book 47 I look forward to many many more l, as many as R.J. Ross can turn out. I will be buying them… and reading them over and over again.
New family members found. The family keeps growing, and by now it's very easy for everyone just to accept the craziness. I really enjoyed the book, like with every other book in the series. I love revisiting characters and getting to know more.
