I'm a trained killer—only I haven't yet made my first kill.
Only the most ruthless can face the giant mechanical beasts prowling the jungles of Mars. The pressure is on to prove myself to my father and make a name for myself among the other wolf hunters.
I get the perfect chance when a wolf sneaks into a sleepy town and slaughters an innocent woman. The hunt is on, and the payday will keep us warm through the harsh Martian winter.
Except there's something curious about the wolf I catch in my trap. It's not some mindless beast—it's a shifter. They all are.
Nothing is as it seems. Especially not my unexplainable draw toward the pack's brooding, mysterious Alpha.
I have to figure out who to trust fast, or this Hunter will soon become the prey.
Heart of Silver is the first book in the Wolves of Mars trilogy—a super spicy (18+), enemies-to-lovers, fated mates, wolf shifter paranormal romance with a sci-fi twist.
Thank you so much to the author for sending me an ARC of Heart of Silver — I had a really fun time with this one!
This is a shifter romance novella set on Mars (yes, Mars 👀) with a female main character who’s a werewolf hunter and somehow ends up captured by Mecha werewolves. The concept sounds completely outlandish, but honestly? You can tell the author was really passionate about this idea, because from start to finish I was hooked and needed to know what was going to happen next.
It’s fast-paced, spicy, and packed with interesting lore, while still being a super chill read between longer books. At around 200 pages, this is easily a one-sitting read or something you could finish over a weekend.
I don’t want to spoil anything, but WOW — so much happens in such a short amount of time, and I was engaged the entire way through. I’m really hoping the next book dives deeper into the world and gives us more background on how the FMC ended up in her situation, because I need more answers.
If you’re looking for a quick, spicy sci-fi shifter romance that’s a little unhinged in the best way, this one is worth checking out. 🐺🔥✨
This was such a unique take on wolf shifters and I loved it! Sometimes I have a very difficult time “picturing” things while reading a sci-fi books, but I didn’t have that issue at all while reading this! Maya and Silas were very cute, I really enjoyed their relationship. I wish this had been longer, but I don’t mean that in a bad way, I mean it in a way where I wasn’t ready for the story to end. I did not pick up on the twists at the end, at all, they totally blind sided me.
“I ask, trying not to get distracted by the way sex drips from every molecule of this man’s body.”
Robotic wolf shifters?! As soon as I read that I had to dive in! Thank you to the author for the gifted copy of Heart of Silver. The wolves are a failed government project that are now hunted down by designated hunters. Maya is ready to go on her fist hunt with her father and family friend, Eli, but no one could have prepared her for what she encounters. Or could they? What secrets are the government and her family keeping? I’ve read a handful of fated mates stories but none like this one. I absolutely loved that it takes place in Mars and the sexual tension between Maya and Silas is *chefs kiss* I was not expecting certain plot twists! It does leave on a cliffhanger so that only means one thing, I can’t wait for the next part!
This book is so unique and creative. Loved every second of it!! Mysterious and suspenseful. What an ending!! Author said it was going to end on a tiny cliffhanger. Lies!! Huge cliffhanger! Rose!!! I need the next book now!! This author wrote such a creative world and plot line. You get the yummy spice and a captivating plot line.
We have Maya who is going on her first hunt with her family. This trip will change her life. What she thought she knew about the wolves, the government and her dad become fiction within a week. She meets Silas, who turns her world upside down. Secrets revealed and betrayed by people she trusted most in her life. We also have a demented Mars government program to eradicate the robot wolves and so much more.
I don’t want give away any spoilers so that is all you get. Read this book in less than a day. Sooooo good!!

Thank you to Rose for this gifted copy for review consideration. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
*I was given this book from the author but my review is based solely on my own thoughts and opinions*
Eli is like the perfect handsome manipulator. He’s all talk and smooth and convincing, you hate him from the beginning.
I think it’s silly that they have to spend a night in a cave because of a sprained ankle. Especially because of the danger that could happen the next day. I do like the twist.
I really enjoy the premise. Such a cool unique new wolf story. I wished it was an actual book and not novella length because this could have been a legit series instead of a quicky where you don’t get much development. I’m a fan of it. I think I’m getting into my sci fi era.
Amazing sci fi wolf shifter with fated mates love story. She’s on her first hunt with her father and siblings on Mars. Things don’t go quite as expected and she discovers that the wolves she hunting aren’t what they seem. She is thrust into a new world with lots of questions and fewer answers. Add a little fated mates spice on the side and it’s a “wholesome” romance. Loved this book and can’t wait for the next.
Okay did I ever think I'd be reading a book about robot werewolves on Mars? Not in a million years..
But now I have and GOOD GOD AM I A FAN 🥵‼️🤌👌💙
Genuinely couldn't recommend this book more highly if I tried. Please believe me when I say that this book is great and you should absolutely give it a read!
**I was gifted a copy of this book by the author in exchange for my honest feedback which is being freely given!**
I *devoured* this book. I will 1000% tell you that I haven't read about a robot shifter wolf ever and this was perfection.
I love Maya and how she carried herself the entire book. Nothing will ever change my mind about her.
Fated Mates has always been one of my favorite tropes and this book delivered. I love how the turns came into play. I can't wait for the next book. *Book one ends on a cliffhanger but I promise it is worth it*
When I heard wolf shifter, I knew I had to pick this book up! But this isn’t your typical wolf shifter book! It has a twist that I didn’t know that I craved! I won’t say much about the twist because you just need to read it to find out for yourself but trust me it’s a good one! From the very first chapter, I was hooked and couldn’t put it down. That cliffhanger was tragic in the best way possible and I can’t wait for book 2!
I just want to start by saying thank you to Rose Wraith for sending me an ARC copy of this book!
this was really good! shape shifting wolves on MARS. say less. it had drama. it had fated mates. shape shifting wolves. MARS. like, this is the sci-fi, paranormal, romance stuff I love and I devoured it.
that ending though, WOAH. ugh I'm ready for book 2, I'm ready to see where this takes our lovely Maya and her mate, Silas.
This was such a fun and unique take, that I truly had not read anything like it before! It kept me so engaged with the whole story. The concept was so interesting and the characters were all wonderful. I mean this is a SOLID 5✨ for me! Perfect blend of spice, intrigue, and just all around plot that had me sat for the whole novella
Omg this was so freaking good. The hunter dynamic had me kicking my feet and GIGGLING. 😍 I wanted to scream when the tension spiked every now and then. Thank you so much for the physical copy of Heart of Silver. 🫶🏻 (And signing it? You're gonna be a big author one day.)
(I received a physical ARC copy from the author a few months ago. Sorry for the late review.)
From chapter two I was pretty hooked on this, I think the story was captivating and enjoyable. There were a few parts that I felt were rushed and could’ve gone more in-depth, but overall I found this to be a great short read and I look forward to book two release!!
