Possessive Small Town Alpha Kings #4

Rejected, Pregnant and Exiled by the Lycan Prince: A Rejected Mate Secret Baby Shifter Romance

Rate this book
I got pregnant by the billionaire Lycan Prince.
Then he rejected and exiled me.

Lycan Prince Ash was raised to hate my bloodline. I was raised to hate his.

But hatred turned to heat when he cornered me after that pack meeting. Shoved me against a tree. Made me beg for things I'd sworn I'd never want from him.

One night turned into one positive pregnancy test.

Before I could tell him, he called me a worthless half-breed. He rejected me, and had his guards throw me out like trash.

So I ran, pregnant.
Five years later, I'm scrubbing toilets at his new luxury hotel. In my small human town.
I've been hiding our son who can't control his powers and just got expelled for shifting at recess.

Then Ash walks in- as my new boss. His eyes go black when male guests talk to me. His claws come out when I serve drinks at the bar.

And our son? He's asking why his eyes glow gold like the scary man from Mommy's work.

But what happens when the Aurelian discovers I had his baby in secret?

AURELIAN

Melia Locke was supposed to be a conquest. The enemy omega I'd destroy to end her father's rebellion.

One taste and she owned me. One night and I almost marked her.
But I had to reject her. My father would've killed her. So I played the cruel prince. Broke her to save her.

Years later, I tracked her, working in my hotel.

She thinks I'm here for business. But I'm here for what's mine. Her.

Good

FYI SPOILER ALERT. The book was a good read. I would have given it 5 stars but the inconsistencies were horrible. First one was in the beginning said they did it all night. Then it went from all night to a few hours. Second big one was they lived in a small smelly apartment on the 3rd floor. Then all of a sudden it was a small house with a fenced yard. Then it went with Ben calling him dad several times and then the next day when he called him dad they both looked shocked. The last big one was the epilogue. It said 2 years later but they said Ben had just turned 8. If it was 2 years later Ben would be 9 not 8. There were so many like this through the book. But it started with the description of the book. In that it said he found her 5 years later but in the book it said 8 years later. Whoever is writing needs to pay alot of attention and maybe get a better proof reader. This should have all been caught. Like I said the story itself was good.

Story a 5, execution a 2

I’m enjoying the series having been pulled in by an FB ad for book 5. It’s books like this that make me grateful for KU since I wasn’t actually cheated the cost of a book.

The blurb online is incorrect, from the beginning certain plot points were not as presented. I’ve read a number of books that are written by author teams and this one- well, in this one it seemed every few chapters one author didn’t realize conflicting plot points were being presented. For instance if a character is dramatically fired then she cant still be the boss 2-3 chapters later right? At least not without some kind of explanation, but I. This book it just became apparent time and again. That the authors aren’t reading each other’s chapters.
When I read a new to me independently published author I can forgive certain inconsistencies. Typically minor things like a missed word or timeline jumps don’t bother me cuz the author(s) done something I haven’t. They published. What I can’t get past is when the missing word pivots the actual meaning of the sentence and suddenly you’re trying to figure out if the character is now being snarky or sarcastic.
When reading fantasy type novels I can suspend the rules of reality, to an extent. When you reference a mountain town and don’t tell me where- that’s ok. The setting remains consistent, the mountains are established as the setting repeatedly…but then all of a sudden you put it in Illinois- WTF? Then again it’s definitely easier to make a day trip to NYC from Illinois than it is from Montana.
MFC describes her home as a 3rd floor apartment in a building with a broken elevator but 5 -8 chapters later she’s now living in a house with a backyard for the rest of the book but she didn’t “move”- thats an oversight that can happen in the writing process but it definitely interrupts the flow of the story.

Basically I’m hooked into the theme of the series so I’ll give it a couple more books but I’m hoping that these pain points are just learning curves and I can start giving 4s & 5s

It was barely OK

The book was barely OK but it really, really could have used a thorough edit. There were discrepancies that hijacked the entire book.
The biggest one was wicked boss Margaret. She was fired, then she wasn't, then she was fired and then, guess what? She was back!

There was more of that sort of thing but not quite as glaring.....until the end when Thea says, "Thank you for finding me. For never giving up even when I made it hard." And I had made it hard, pushing him away, doubting him, running when I should have stayed.

What the ever loving H3LL?!? He called her all kinds of bad things and exiled her with nothing but the clothes on her back, for Gods Sake!!!! This makes it sound like she was just being petty and rude by running away from a tolerable situation.

This ruined even the small enjoyment I got it is this book! UGH

If I were to recommend wheather to read this or not, I'd say don't waste your time.

Poignant lost love story! U'll seriously need 2 grab a box of tissues b4 t ending.

The male protagonist is a special 'one-of-a-kind' Lycan King who's seriously strong, caring and breathtakingly in love. Searching for years to find his wrongly accused & exiled mate. His pursuit of justice is exacting yet thorough & heart rendering for all the right reasons. He proves himself, his love with patience, caring and thoughtful actions. I thank the author(s) for a pleasant yet scorching read. While there are some mistakes/plot errors; I believe a reader may tentatively perhaps overlook those with the pretense of a thoughtful/heartfelt writer. Essentially the author(s) publish a new book every five and a half weeks or less; and has several planned in advance for publishing even as I write my review. Pottsville PA_12082025.

Plot was good but lots of inconsistencies

Overall, the characters were well fleshed out and the plot was strong and I really wanted to like it, but the inconsistencies were rampant. First off she was a maid in a hotel but then he says she’s serving coffee in a café, but then she’s a maid five pages later. Then she says her son can’t draw anything and it looks like a potato and then a chapter later he’s inherited the artistic gene. I mean, it was just lots of these inconsistencies. The king gets a paper file from his assistant and then two seconds later he’s about to click on it with a mouse? Nothing about a flash drive or anything a paper file and he is somehow gonna click on an email with the mouse. I think a lot of this has been AI generated and it explains how that’s possible considering how many of these books exist in the series

Lost

18+, XXX. Adult content, reader discretion advised. Be kind, yes there are inconsistencies in the story. It's takes a brave soul to write a book and tenacity to publish. Thea and Ash have a sexy story filled with trauma and dysfunction. The night their mating bong clicks in place his father and both her parents are murdered in a massacre. In fear, anger and desperate to protect Thea, Ash exiles her. Eight years later, after years searchinh for Thea and of researching what really happened that night, Ash has found the linchpin that will uncover the entire plot against his father, his mates family and he found her. She wasn't alone though. What he discovers guts him. Because he missed seven years of his sons life and eight years without his mate. Now that he has her and the proof he needs to get justice, those responsible will fall.

Great plot but a few inconsistencies

The book had a great plot and The characters were likable. There were a few inconsistencies in the story such as the main female character boss being fired but then also being spotted in the hotel working after she was supposed to be fired. Another inconsistency was the MMC was wearing pants/ sweats but then in a few pages same scene and he was wearing shorts. Another inconsistency was Ben calling him dad without him being told that the main male character was his dad. I did like the book and I would read more books by this author again.

filled with passion from beginning to end

I sat down and read this story nonstop in one day. It was that addicting, from the first chapter all the way through to the epilogue. Classic fated mate, rejection and second chance love with some nice action as well. I enjoyed watching Ash fight for the only woman he’s ever loved. The alpha being arrogant and powerful is a given, but a lot of them aren’t the type to admit they’re wrong or show their feelings. Ash didn’t care, he smiled and cried naturally and it felt genuine. And I love the ending and Althea (which is also my name) getting justice for her family and pack😊

Falsely Accused

The night of a big gathering where one pack wanted to sussed from the lycan alliance the Omega daughter of the aforementioned pack finds her childhood bully is her mate. They join together and move out into the surrounding Forest to celebrate.
Meanwhile back at the party his father and everyone from her pack attending died. Why would the alpha of the most peaceful pack start a riot at the party? Why does the new Lycan King's mate be branded a traitor and be exiled, with nothing when she has been away at college and away from the party when all the fighting went on?
Good Adult Read.

Good story, but a quite a few plot errors

This had a good story line but quite a few plot errors that were very noticeable. A few were with characters that had been "fired" from their job, but them were still there and referenced again and again after. Then it says the FMC works in a coffee shop?? That wasn't part of the story. There are more of these small flaws but they are noticeable and make you think that either this was written very quickly and not edited well or used some AI assistance. I really hate when this happens, but the story could have been great.

Childhood enemies turned into mates

This is book four in the series and features Ash, the future King and Thea, a smart omega. Thea and Ash went to school together and since kindergarten they have been in competition with each other. It was crazy how they kept at each other in sports and school work, now as adults, their wolves recognize each other as mates. Oh boy, how is that possible! This is their journey of ups and downs to a happy ending. Read On!

Good, but there were a lot of inconsistencies.

Like when Ash moves them into a new house and all her stuff was brought over and she states "there's my grandmother's lamp" She ran from a party with nothing but her exes clothes on her back, so how does she have her grandmother's lamp?

There's more, but it's still a decent read

decent story, still so many errors

The first half of the story is ok, plot is interesting, characters mostly developed. The second half is all over the place with so many continuity errors and actual name errors. Even the bulb for the book on Amazon has errors in the name. If editing had been done and a final read through this would have been a good story.

Great story plot ❤️

I loved the story but there were a few errors in the storyline that should have been corrected before publishing. Example...the floors of the hotel. The 3rd floor had fancy hotel rooms and then it changed over to conference rooms and offices. But like I said.... I really like the story.

The story was pretty good

I liked the story but the book gave names to the wrong characters, and other errors. First he was Mr Ash then all of a sudden he was Dad ? No explanation to the boy and at the end it was sloppy and hurried..

Good dialogue, ok plot, lots of continuity issues

The characters are likable, the spice is spicy, but I don’t think an editor looked at this. There are a ton of continuity issues that don’t affect the plot, but that are really distracting.

A must read!

I don’t write reviews, but this book has it all.
The story is full of plots and twists. I was deeply touched by the way, the HEA unfolds.
I would give it a 10 star rating if I could!

Pretty good romance fantasy

Good story. Co writers need to work closer and read others work more closely though. Maybe a better proofreader for consistency
