When small-town radio host Ainsley Jefferson takes a late-night call from a mystery man with a velvet voice, she doesn’t expect him to steal her heart—one quiet conversation at a time. But when "Boston Guy" shows up in real life, she has to decide if the voice that comforted her in the dark is the one she wants beside her in the light.
Well, this is one of those short, quick reads you randomly stumble upon on some platform. Personally, I had never seen it anywhere before not on Instagram, not on TikTok. It hadn’t even popped up on Goodreads or Fable as a recommendation. I actually found this one super randomly on Spotify, and that’s how I decided to experience it (as an audiobook). And I genuinely loved it!
Even though it’s super short and very simple, I feel like the audiobook was really well done. I loved the narration and everything about it, and it honestly left me wanting more. And I think that was the only issue I had with this read. I felt like it had the potential to be a longer story. If it had been 300–400 pages, I genuinely think I would’ve devoured it in no time.
But I understand that probably wasn’t the author’s intention, and that’s totally fine. Still, I personally would’ve enjoyed it a lot as a full length book. That ending left me a little teased, wanting to know more, see more, and learn more about the characters and their dynamic because the chemistry between these characters was on another level from the very beginning🫣
So yeah, that’s my only critique I wish it had been longer. Other than that, I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend it.
“Radio Romance” is the 2nd book from the new ‘Whispering Falls Sweet Short Story‘ world... This grabbed me from the start to where I read it all in one sitting :D ... Ainsley is a radio talk show host, who suddenly has a smooth, mysterious, regular caller she dubbed, “Boston Guy” that really lights up the late nights, even for her other listeners... Quirky characters and witty dialogue make this a fun, easy read... I’ve already ‘clicked’ on the 3rd free kindle book next & anxious to start reading it! ... I can honestly recommend this to all fans of fiction, so run don’t walk to get these fantastic must reads!
Honestly for a novella this was great, a lot of novellas feel very insta lovey due to the short nature of them but this one didn’t and it was refreshing. It was short and sweet and I loved the main characters.
Cute romance story about a radio host who makes a connection with a caller during her radio show! I listened to this on Spotify, and enjoyed the narrators voice.
