A Navy SEAL, A Ranger and A Marine walk into a bar: Special Forces Justice - Book One

Rate this book
If you are going to embroil three former soldiers in a terrorist house-cleaning feud, choose carefully. Unfortunately, a Middle Eastern arms dealer chose a demobbed Navy SEAL, a former 75th Ranger and a retired US Marine Gunnery Sergeant. Big mistake - brutal outcome.

These Special Forces Justice novels are a progressive series, not standalone books.

Three former US Special Forces operators travel separately to Israel in search of Close Protection contract work. After their initial chance meeting, the trio become embroiled in a lethal terrorist house-cleaning feud. Drugged, bound and driven to the Negev Desert the three are lowered into an unescapable crypt in the middle of nowhere and left to die. They come across an ancient tomb with an inscription - Justify This . After finally removing the tomb's deadweight cover they are overpowered by a mysterious dust that will transform them, both mentally and physically. With the aid of a vacationing Arkansas couple, they make it back to the United States where they miraculously escape two bombings, one on the flight to JFK and the other on a Staten Island ferry that vaporizes everyone else aboard. Their Arabic weapons dealer enemy from the Middle East is on their case. The former SEAL doorkicker, along with the ex-75th Ranger and the one time USMC Gunnery Sergeant soon align themselves to a brilliant, OCD affected Homeland Security agent who suggests they use their abilities to help the victimized of society. Mexican drug barons, serial killers, corrupt law enforcement and many more soon witness a new brand of justice, one without lawyers and legalities - Special Forces Vigilantism. Outside of their native New York, they become involved in a British aerospace software threat that could dramatically change aerial combat in a foreign power's favor. Career criminals who pay corrupt lawyers to gain their freedom face brutal consequences. The wealthy and powerful soon discover that ordinary Americans and their children are no longer their playthings. From rescuing battered Bronx housewives to confronting a retired Pakistani IS Brigadier attempting to avenge Osama bin Laden's death and from tracking and eliminating people traffickers to preventing another 9/11, the former Special Ops pals busy themselves on a routine basis. If the authorities cannot, or will not procure justice, then ready yourself for mayhem on a level never seen before - an entire new form of judiciary, spread across the globe. These works are intended for readers of Special Forces fiction, rogue CIA maneuverings, international espionage and the exposure and elimination of corrupt officialdom. The trio have devastating abilities, but they are human, and prone to error. They have two major concerns – how long will their special abilities last and will they end up as lab rats in a government institution?

Anthony Vincent Bruno is the pseudonym of the bestselling category author of The Long Road to Auschwitz (Heartbreak and Tyranny 1) and its follow ups - Leah's Story: Auschwitz to the Arctic Circle - The Road of Bones to a Stalinist Gulag and Rescuing Zia - the Bloodied road to Damascus. These three novels warn of extremism, both Left and Right. After warning of the dangers of Hitlerism and Stalinism, "Rescuing Zia - the Bloodied Road to Damascus" exposes the misuse of Islam's archaic sharia law. Not all Germans of the period were Nazis and not all Russians were Soviet hardliners and in the case of the third book, the author points out that not all Islamic fundamentalists are bloodthirsty jihadists. "We just have to be on our guard against extremists hidden within the masses."

Among the author's most prominent works, are the SAS Special Forces orientated "Wicked Will Perish" series which has generated close to 100,000 downloads.

Versality being a thing these days, do not miss the audio book versions of "Never Again" and the outrageous comedy "Sex, Lies and the Bomb." "The Long Road to Auschwitz" audio book has just been released and many a listener gauges it to be without equal in terms of the voice acting. A remarkable performance by Ed Beasley.

Regarding the author's Clinton biography photo, "it was our job to protect people, not approve of them."

The author survived seven brushes with death and had a recent dalliance with the dreaded pancreatitis. It must mean one life left? "Going to give it some! Life is so precious. I cannot fathom why I am still here. Christ would be my bet, but it is so uncool these days to say such a thing. My belief is unshakable." AVB.

Maybe my expectations were too high based on the blurb, but the writing, the editing, and the belief factor were all subpar, unfortunately. There are some good bits with the cross branch rivalry, but not enough to carry the story.

A Ranger a Navy Seal and a Gunny now that's a true warrior mix walk into a bar?

A good read that has everything including,a
miracle. We who've been to war know it's a miracle to make it home and my miracle is true but this isn't about me. This story is captivating, entertaining and you see three very different men and a lady who became family. I recommend this read!

Entertaining and fun!

This book surpassed expectations and was thoroughly enjoyed! It was engaging on an action level while character development wast truly exceptional. I became invested in both the mission and the individuals and am reading the next in the series ASAP! The light touch of comedy was a wonderful touch! Five stars!

This is too lightly written to be taken seriously. But it's a fun read anyway. The usual Inter service rivalry persists throughout.

Exciting story, unique title! Reading the next in the series right now. One comment: there is no such thing as an ex-Marine or a former Marine!
