FROM THE PEN OF BESTSELLING AUTHOR ROBBIN HAYES ...

Born and raised in a trailer park, beautiful Vanessa Babcock was all set to become the next Miss America when she decided to leave Texas—and her domineering mother—for a new life in Miami. But Miami was only the first stop on an incredible journey that was to take her all over the world.
From the moment a hooker told her, “Life’s short—so dance naked,” she allowed fate to take her from Brazil and Italy to England, Mexico and the steaming Amazon jungle. Along the way, Vanessa made close friends, powerful enemies ... and irresistible lovers.
There was Raymundo, the handsome Grand Prix driver, Judge Eduardo Marcondes, whose interest in her was not entirely paternal, Ben Allison, the rugged, wisecracking soldier-of-fortune, and finally Nicky Dalton, whose wealthy family was ruled over by a scheming matriarch known as Grandma Rose.
Vanessa’s life quickly became one of passion and intrigue, of danger, revenge and, thanks to a fortune in rare emeralds, untold wealth. But it seemed that no amount of money would help when she was framed for the murder of her husband’s former lover.

Yes, the author is related to us! Robbin is the wife of Chris's uncle. The first half is a real page-turner, fast paced action with twists and turns. It slows down a little but then gains momentum towards the end.

Although the writing has numerous grammatical and spelling errors, this book had lots of unexpected twists and turns. LONG book so it will last you a bit!!!
