Heidi Perks lives on the south coast, spending her time writing by the sea. She gets all her inspiration for her books from the beautiful towns on the coast, imagining dark things happening in the most prettiest of places. Apart from one all her books are set along the south of England.

Heidi's seventh books, SOMEONE IS LYING is out March 2025. Her other six books include three Sunday Times bestsellers, Now You See Her, Come Back For Me and The Whispers, and two Richard and Judy picks including The Last Resort.

She is currently writing book eight which will be out in 2026.

Someone Is Lying by Heidi Perks is suspenseful and definitely a page-turner. The story had plenty of twists that kept me hooked from start to finish. I especially enjoyed the podcast chapters—they added a fresh perspective. The mothers and their emotions felt very relatable, and the ending was intriguing, hinting at just how little we truly know about what people are capable of. Definitely a brilliant thriller to get stuck into!

Im afraid I can only give this 2 stars as after about 140 pages I was quite bored . I tried skim reading another 100 pages but still got fed up so just skipped to the outcome.
Too slow for my liking and obvious ending .

A very enjoyable read. I found the characters were really relatable and didn’t really know how it would end.
My only negative was that I felt the ending a bit rushed.

It was a good and easy read. Storyline is pretty fun, the ending was unfortunately a bit rushed. Other than that I would recommend this book for a simple crime adventure.
