I thought betrayal would break me for good.
The day I caught Noah cheating, I knew there was only one move on.
Then I met Theo and Silas.
Two mechanics with rough hands and dangerous smiles, they strip me bare—body, heart, and soul—and remind me what it means to feel alive.
Noah is nothing but background noise now, a mistake fading into memory. With Theo and Silas, I’m learning how to heal. How to let go. How to claim the kind of desire I once believed I didn’t deserve.
But even in their arms, something feels off. Dreams blur into reality. Whispers chase me in the dark. And I can’t shake the sense that the ground beneath me isn’t as solid as it seems.
This isn’t just a rebound—it’s an awakening.
And once I’ve tasted it, nothing will ever be the same.

Tethered by M.A. Carter

Brooke catches her fiancé cheating and it turns her world upside down and she knows she has to move on. This leads to her meeting Theo and Silas. They are there, helping her heal and encouraging her to express her desires. But, even though they allow her a newfound freedom, something feels different and off.

When her mind’s reality is fractured, it reshapes itself into something false, yet vividly convincing. Even in awareness, illusions drift in the shadows of her memory—they are there but not authentic. There is a struggle in between moving forward but holding onto what was never truly there…or was it just not as she recalls it to be? Those illusions masquerade as truth, persisting even after clarity. The challenge is learning—and wanting—to release what was never concrete.

The ending of this story broke me but it also moved and challenged me to think beyond what was written. I’m grateful for a story that dares to be different.

This is a beautifully written story of hope, strength and resilience. It has an incredible storyline that moves quickly, yet lingers just a little longer in all the right places. The plot doesn’t avoid depth or completeness and is well balanced. The characters will engage you and the amount of steamy spice is five 🌶️ perfect.
