The Taking, by Donald Beman, was a book that I picked up at a used bookstore, as I was gathering my reading for the winter and partial spring. My preconceived notions, based on the cover, that this was an alien abduction book. As I read the description, then I though that this was either and alien abduction horror, or a goverment horror; then if that were the case it would have been in the science fiction or thriller. This book was not what I imagined it to be. The author, had placed some items in the book, that can be researched, and found to be used. There are some adult reading material in the book, that may not be suitable for children, so please keep away from the kiddies. There were some slow parts in the book, but had twists that grabbed your attention.
