This book merges the frailty of human emotion with the tenacity of shifter nature. While many plot threads are deliberately left open to serve as a prologue for the next book, the story culminates in a promising tone of hope and anticipation for the future.

Different Shifter-Human Story
Lily and Jax are taken in by a pack that provides them safety and a home. The story focuses on Lily’s growth from pregnancy and learning to be strong and able to defend herself. The character development spread out so it takes a lot of the story to get to know the main characters. The story is different. It’s not often we read of a pack fighting a losing battle. The Hollow provides an interesting additional character that remains an enigma. The story is a bridge to the next book. There is a bit of closure, but there is much more left unknown.
