Make It Last es el libro encargado de cerrar la trilogia Bowler University y narra la historia de Cam y Tate.
Este libro es la clasica lectura segura a la que recurro cuando nada atrapa mi atencion, entre sus paginas no encontraras el romance mas impresionante o la trama mas adictiva, sin embargo, con su sencillez consigue que lo leas en nada de tiempo y ademas te dejara con un muy buen sabor de boca.
La relacion entre Tate y Cam es bonita, me gusto como la autora desarrollo su reencuentro y reconciliacion, pero en determinadas partes extrañe mas profundidad, tuve la sensacion de que su romance se desenvolvia de una manera un poco lineal y plana.
Otro aspecto de la novela que no me convencio al 100% fue la trama secundaria de Tate y su familia, creo que la escritora podia haberle sacado un poco mas de partido y no resolverlo de una forma tan rapida, ademas cierta cuestion relativa a el padre de Tate quedo en el aire, ni siquiera en el ultimo capitulo se hace mencion a ese tema, y ese hecho me dejo un poco descontenta.
En resumen, Make It Last es lo que parece a simple vista, una historia facil de leer con la que pasar un momento ameno.

A great new story in the series. It's not my favorite (that'd be Make it Right) but so far they've all been pretty outstanding.
Cam and Tate have a world of pain to overcome to get their relationship back on track. Tate displays my very least favorite anti-love trope with her tendency to make unilateral decisions for the relationship—generally in an attempt to spare the other, or to make it easier for them to move on. Fortunately, this book is about her overcoming that tendency, so I was able to like her. Eventually.
Cam is much more my style. He's my very favorite kind of hero: the strong, protective type with an unerring sense of decency and honor. At least part of why it took me so long to warm up to Tate was because I could see she was set in the same patterns of their past and that it'd end in pain I wasn't sure I'd buy the resolution to—that she'd hurt him enough I wouldn't be able to get past it even if he did.
No worries on that score, I'm glad to say. I wouldn't read this series out of order, so read the other two first, but don't hesitate to move onto this one. It's very much what you'd expect, without being predicable, formulaic, or boring.
A note about Steamy: I let this review go long enough I can't remember exact counts. It was on par for the series, though, which means in my upper-middle range. Again, if you've read the others (go read the others), you'll know what to expect...

Make It Last is the Bowler University series all grown up, or well on their way. First off, it was really fun to get a peek at Alec/Kate (LOVED their subplot) and Max/Lea. Even Danica gets a ring in.
Secondly, importantly Cam. Oh, Camilo. Long have I waited to get my (metaphorical) hands on him and he doesn't disappoint. He's got an alpha attitude and beta heart...the perfect swoony mix. Not many guys can buy Pinkie Pie for their woman, look out for their mama and still be a bad boy bouncer. The Utope (think Sims) angle was a fun touch, adding quirky humor and depth.
There were a couple lines that had me wanting to high-five Megan:
"Unless a woman is your wife or girlfriend, it's not your concern who she gets into bed with."
"Who knew a hand job was like riding a bike."
Then there's the "It's always been you, Cam. It's always been us."
I don't want to get into spoilery plot points, suffice it to say it's a second chance at love story about two young adults who desperately want to do the right thing, for themselves, each other and their families.
100% feel good fun. A strong conclusion to this awesome debut series.

November 11, 2014So, this is Cam's story. And you all waited patiently for it. I was actually really surprised when the response to MAKE IT COUNT (the first in the series) came in and I heard a lot of, "I want Cam!"
Well, my dears. Here is Cam. This book is a little different from the others in the series. That characters are older, and the conflict is heavier, and we're not in Bowler anymore, Toto.
Second-chance at love stories are my favorite to write. I love this book, and I hope you root for Cam and Tate as much as I do. :)

4 second-chance stars
I confess, I usually never read books in a series out of order, but I was offered the ARC of this book – even though it’s the third and final in the Bowler University series - and I’m such a sucker for second-chance-romances that I couldn’t turn it down. It works really well as a standalone though, with enough background given to easily set the story up on its own and I was very quickly sucked in.
Cam has returned to his dead-end home town after graduating college in order to look after his sick mother. He has big plans for his future, and has no intention of staying in the town he was desperate to escape as a teenager, but all of his plans get thrown into disarray when he runs into Tatum – his high school girlfriend, and the love of his life who broke his heart when he left town four years ago.
But not all is as it seems, and it soon becomes clear that Tate is still as in love with Cam as he is with her, and sparks are very quickly flying. Cam is still terribly hurt from their break up, and even though Tate thought she was doing the right thing at the time, she now knows that letting Cam go was the worst decision of her life. So, amidst much arguing, flirting and game playing, there is a great build up as they both sort through their feelings, and from the moment they start to let their guards down with each other, it’s only a matter of time before they find themselves back in each other’s arms.
I love that the author doesn’t make us wait for the reunion. It comes fairly early in the book, so we get to spend a lot of time with them as a couple as they reconnect. This is a real soul-mate relationship - even after their time apart, Cam and Tate still know each other inside and out, and you can really feel the chemistry between them. And I loved how both of them were so willing to admit their feelings and open themselves up to being together again. They loved each other, they wanted to be together, and that was it.
But their issues from the past are still very much a part of their present, and they have a lot to work through. Throw in some external drama, and it makes everything so much more heart wrenching as they decide what it is that they want, and what is worth fighting for.
The storyline is one that I’ve read before but Megan Erickson does a great job with it, injecting a sense of reality into the storyline. I could absolutely understand the reasoning behind all of their decisions, and even though the angst gets a little bit unnecessarily intense towards the end, it works, and creates a great sense of anticipation leading up to the big finish.
There’s a great cast of side characters. I love Tate’s family! Their storyline there adds a nice touch of drama, and the dynamics between the characters was fantastic. The characters from the previous book also all make an appearance, and there is some sweet story progression for them.
I really enjoyed this book. It’s sweet, it’s sexy and it’s beautifully romantic. The drama in the storyline works really well, and I easily got lost in the story. If you’re a fan of the series and already know Cam, you’ll probably love it even more, but I was still very happy reading it as a standalone.

Filled with hot nerdy banter, steamy romance and a touching storyline, Make It Last is exactly what an NA novel should be!

The story:
The nerdy cuteness of this book is almost too much to handle all I wanted to do was cuddle this book
After a nasty breakup after graduating high school, Cam & Tate go their separate ways. Cam went off to college and is now graduating with a bright future before him, while Tate stayed in their small hometown for reasons unknown to Cam. Now Cam's back to help care for his mother and Tate is faced with a huge mistake she made years earlier. But things are never quite as they seem, and soon secrets from the past are uncovered, making both Cam & Tate face the consequences of the choices they've made. As they start to deal with the past, more obstacles are thrown in their path, with families and jobs making them question where their futures lie… and more importantly, if they will be part of each other's lives.
I really enjoyed this story, and loved how they had to really address and overcomes all the challenges that they were faced with. Their lives aren't easy and they've both got their own issues separate from their relationship too. But it was so lovely to watch them fall in love again as adults and learn from their mistakes.
The characters:
At first I thought Cam was going to be a bit of a player, but he's really not. He's a sweet loveable guy who would do anything for those he loves. I mean, he plays nerdy video games with Tate for crying out loud!! Cam's attitude towards Tate seriously melted my heart - I just wanted to give him a big squishy hug!!
Tate in many ways is such a selfless character, and I loved that about her. She's always put everyone else's needs before her own, but what she needed to learn was she may not always know what's best for everyone else. Tate does a lot of growing up in this book, especially by dealing with the consequences of her actions.
The romance:
Cam & Tate are so damn cute together I can't even begin to describe it. They have both made mistakes in their relationship and must deal with the consequences of their past choices. But neither of them give up on each other and I just loved that. My favourite this about these two, is their interactions through an old video game Utope (think The Sims). They use the game to share their feeling and get all cute and nerdy together…seriously epic nerd love here people!
The Writing:
Megan's writing is freakin awesome! There is such a beautiful balance of romance, humour and drama. The storyline feels fresh and vibrant, with unique characters, that you never feel like you've read this book a million times before. I absolutely loved the flirty, witty banter that goes on between Cam & Tate, it's intelligent and creates incredible chemistry between them.
FINAL WORD:
I am so sad that this series is over, it's one of the best NA series I've read! Filled with hot nerdy banter, steamy romance and a touching storyline, Make It Last is exactly what an NA novel should be!

I don't think I could love Megan Erickson anymore than I do right now. HOLY SHIT I WAS BLOWN AWAY BY MAKE IT LAST. This book had me bawling my eyes out and wanting to hug these special characters and never let them go.
In the previous two books we've seen glimpses of Cam the playboy but we didn't really know him. In Make It Last, Cam is so much more than that what I expected; he's sweet and thoughtful and I'm pretty sure I have a serious like S E R I O U S crush on him. If they had a machine to turn fictional characters real I would be the first in line to ask Cam to marry me. In all seriousness, I loved Cam to pieces, he's one of those guys that put his life on hold to move back home to help his mother out. That right there screams PERFECT GUY EVAH.
And don't get me started on Tate, I LOVE THAT GIRL. Not only does she have kickass hair, kickass wedges, kickass makeup but she's an admirable-independent woman who will provide the best she can for her family and that makes her such a phenomenal character in my opinion. She's sacrificed so much of her life that my heart ached, I just wanted Tate to be happy.Yes Tate made a mistake back then but when she explained why I was just like TEAM TATE ALL THE WAY.
One of the things I liked most about Make It Last was how both Cam and Tate helped their parents. But I think that's what made these two characters even more beautiful and made them grow as an individual. Their ability to be their for a parent is all kinds of amazing and it warmed my heart.
I feel like I'm cheating on the other characters but I have to be honest, CAMILO RUIZ AND TATUM ELLISON ARE MY FAVORITE IN THE BOWLER UNIVERSITY SERIES!!! Don't get me wrong I loved Alec and Kat (Make it Count) and Max and Lea (Make it Right) but I don't think I was emotionally invested with them as I was with Tate and Cam.
Tate and Cam pulled out my heartstrings like crazy; their first meeting after years of not seeing each other was intense. I mean I didn't know if Cam and Tate were going to get down and dirty right that second or have a screaming match about things that happened in the past. The chemistry between those two was sexy and powerful and gahh I just didn't want this book to ever end. Of course a few curve-balls are thrown in Cam and Tate's story that had me shaking my head like no no no but when the good times rolled I was like oh yes yes yes.
Make It Last . . . there are not enough words to describe how much I loved this book and characters. I cried and laughed and swooned and stayed up past midnight and I would do it all over again. Thank you Megan Erickson for giving us Alec, Kat, Max, Lea, Tate and Cam. The Bowler University books are one of the best series I've ever read and it's SO bittersweet that it has come to an end but I can't wait for all of Megan's future books.

In all seriousness, I loved Cam to pieces, he's one of those guys that put his life on hold to move back home to help his mother out. That right there screams PERFECT GUY EVAH.
And don't get me started on Tate, I LOVE THAT GIRL. Not only does she have kickass hair, kickass wedges, kickass makeup but she's an admirable-independent woman who will provide the best she can for her family and that makes her such a phenomenal character in my opinion. She's sacrificed so much of her life that my heart ached, I just wanted Tate to be happy.Yes Tate made a mistake back then but when she explained why I was just like TEAM TATE ALL THE WAY.
One of the things I liked most about Make It Last was how both Cam and Tate helped their parents. But I think that's what made these two characters even more beautiful and made them grow as an individual. Their ability to be their for a parent is all kinds of amazing and it warmed my heart.
I feel like I'm cheating on the other characters but I have to be honest, CAMILO RUIZ AND TATUM ELLISON ARE MY FAVORITE IN THE BOWLER UNIVERSITY SERIES!!! Don't get me wrong I loved Alec and Kat (Make it Count) and Max and Lea (Make it Right) but I don't think I was emotionally invested with them as I was with Tate and Cam.
Tate and Cam pulled out my heartstrings like crazy; their first meeting after years of not seeing each other was intense. I mean I didn't know if Cam and Tate were going to get down and dirty right that second or have a screaming match about things that happened in the past. The chemistry between those two was sexy and powerful and gahh I just didn't want this book to ever end. Of course a few curve-balls are thrown in Cam and Tate's story that had me shaking my head like no no no but when the good times rolled I was like oh yes yes yes.
Make It Last . . . there are not enough words to describe how much I loved this book and characters. I cried and laughed and swooned and stayed up past midnight and I would do it all over again. Thank you Megan Erickson for giving us Alec, Kat, Max, Lea, Tate and Cam. The Bowler University books are one of the best series I've ever read and it's SO bittersweet that it has come to an end but I can't wait for all of Megan's future books.

Oh!! This book. I set aside everything to start on Make It Last as soon as possible after it hit my Kindle. What a great decision that was. And what a great ending to a series I thoroughly enjoyed it was.

An excellent addition to a fantastic series, Make it Last was an awesome New Adult read. With engaging characters and lovely romance, this book was wonderful and I absolutely loved it.
Tate was a resilient heroine. She loved Cam but didn't want to hold him back when she had to remain behind to take care of her family. She was definitely strong and determined to keep her family together during difficult times. She did, however, have a frustrating and often pointed out tendency to make decisions for other people because she thought she was doing what was best for them. But, she did learn that she couldn't continue to do that when it was unfair to both others and herself. Overall, I thought she was a lovely character.
Cam was the epitome of a sweetheart. He was kind, gentlemanly, and a genuinely good person. The type of person who would drop everything and go back to his hometown because his mother was struggling with her illness. I thought he was absolutely adorable.
The romance was great. Tate and Cam were perfect together. Despite the years apart, they still loved each other, though they definitely had a few issues that they needed to work out. And the chemistry between them was on fire.
The plot didn't slow down from page 1 and kept me hooked all the way through. The story was simply wonderful and the ending was perfect.

Sometimes when I read a book, my emotions get blindsided. Such is the case with this book. It's not that the situation is too close to home as much as the feeling of the characters are close to my own. And that tells you how real this book feels to me.
Tate thought she knew what was best for everyone around her and that always meant she took the worst of it as a result. Yes, I do that sometimes. So I get Tate. It's also why I wanted to smack her sometimes. But I love her just the same.
Speaking of love, I adore Cam. He's yummy and determined. I love that he comes home to help his mom. I love that he still loves Tate. I love that he believes her when all is said and done. I love the game they play together. He's one hunky Hispanic and I'm so happy for him.
It was great seeing characters from the first two books in this one. They made cameo appearance but you didn't need to know their story to read this one. It definitely can be read stand alone.
The story had me wondering a lot at the beginning. But as it unfolded, I figured things out and enjoyed every page of it.

Yes. Yes. Yes. This book did in fact give me all the feels. Talk about a completely swoon-worth book. Make It Last is funny, adorable, sexy, and the perfect conclusion to the Bowler University series.
Cam is impossible not to fall for and you can’t help but to love Tate too and root for these two high school sweethearts. The tension these two share and the chemistry is just- holy moly so perfect.
Once again Megan has completely blown me away with her writing skills and the dialogue which just flowed oh so naturally and beautifully and once again had me swooning and smiling and laughing.
“You’re doing that thing where you’re trying not to smile.” “No I’m not.” She cocked her head. “Your lips are twitching, you liar.”

Another fantastic story in this world. I've always liked Cam {although Alec still wins everything}, so I was super excited to get his story.
The big reveal wasn't exactly what I was expecting. And there's some great new characters. I especially like Tate's dad and Cam's mom. One of the best parts was the lunch towards the end of the book. And seriously, can we just get a Danica book FFS?
I was a bit irritated with the constant push and pull between them. Yes, it makes sense after all they've been through, I just wanted happy fluff times.
All in all, an excellent ending to the story.

**4.5 stars** I have thoroughly enjoyed this series so much! I'm a big fan of Megan's writing and I just knew I'd love Cam's story. She always has me hooked from the first page. I loved the journey Cam and Tate went through to get back to where they belonged, with each other. Bravo Ms. Erickson! *Even though this is the 3rd book in the series, it can be read as a stand-alone* I highly recommend the other two books in the series. They're great reads!

Too many typos, which were distracting as hell. Pronouns are important, so please get them right.
The story was fine and the same as the others, and the reason they had broken up made sense. I think they got back together pretty quickly but I could go with it. It was paced fine and it was nice to see the other characters from previous books make an appearance.
Not sure I need more from this author if she doesn't get better editing.

I want to thank William Morrow Impulse for providing me with a copy of this book to read and give an honest review. Receiving this book for free has in no way altered my opinion or review.
Let me start by saying I'm a huge fan of this series. When I read the summary for the first book and found out the male MC was a nerdy, not guy, I just could not resist. From then on I was hooked. So when I had the opportunity to read the second book, I jumped at the chance because...MAX! Need I say more. So of course, diving into a book about Cam was right up my alley and I could not wait to read his story.
What I think I liked most about the premise of this book is that it doesn't actually take place on the college campus. I do like NA books that use that setting, but this one veered from there and took Cam back to his home town. It was great to see him in this old element, to experience him as totally different than what I was seeing in the other books (where he was basically the hot guy that hooked up with all the girls but never settled down). And better yet, there was a reason Cam was like this, and this book told that story.
Tate, on the other hand, is a brand new character to us. She's someone we had no clue about until she's introduced to us in this book. At first, I wasn't so happy with her. I mean, she broke Cam's heart and I wasn't sure I could like her for that. But then you learn the story and delve deeper into what really happened when Cam and Tate were eighteen, and you find she's not exactly what you thought she was.
The best part of this book was Erickson taking a character that I didn't care too much for, after all he was a man whore, and turning him into something I totally didn't expect. Not only did he serve his country, but he is smart enough to have graduated very fast from college. And then he's sweet enough and loyal enough to know when he's needed at home.
Of course Tate and Cam have their issues throughout the book. Neither one of them quite willing to give themselves wholly to each other (after all, there might be more heart break and who can endure losing the love of their life more than once, right?). But they do stay strong and overcome so much to make things work.
Erickson also introduces us to a few new characters: Cam's mother, Tate's dad and brother, and one of Cam's old high school buddies. I know Erickson has said this is the final book, but oh how I would love to have some of the back story and forward story of these characters.
Overall I will say that this is not my favorite of the books (no one can top Alec for me, sorry), but I really enjoyed it. And I'm certainly now a firm fan of Erickson and will read anything she writes (it helps that she's one of the most personable authors I have ever met and actually contacted me when this book went up on Edelweiss to let me know I should request it!). Fans of Colleen Hoover, Cora Caramack, and Jennifer L. Armentrout/J. Lynn will fall head over heels for Erickson's stories! If you're looking for a series that has characters come together through thick and thin, where you're not always sure there will be a HEA, but then you know there just has to be, then this is the one for you!

Can I just start out by saying how much I *love* the title for this book? It's a great little play on words and I appreciate the thought Megan put into this. It's the last book in the series and it's a second chance story with a couple trying to find a way to make their love last. <3
It's finally time for Cam's story – one I've been waiting for from the beginning of the series – and I could not have been more excited about it when I started. The excitement and feels continued throughout the book and I ended it with a big, goofy grin on my face. I'm a total sucker for a good second chance story, and Cam and Tate's is exactly that.
When Cam returned to his hometown to help his mom after she had some medical issues, he finds himself facing his past and trying to deal again with seeing his ex, Tate, around all the time. But, it's not long before he learns that what happened in the past wasn't what he thought, things aren't always as they appear, and old feelings die hard. The more he and Tate find themselves in each other's path, the more obvious it is that their story isn't quite over yet.
I really loved both Cam and Tate. Cam already about half had my heart going into the book, but it didn't take any time at all for him to grab hold of the other part. It took me a little longer to warm up to Tate, but only because I, like Cam, thought she had cheated on him in the past. But, like I said above, things aren't as they seem. Tate was going through A LOT of things, both in the past and again currently, and she had her reasons for leading Cam to believe the rumors of her cheating. I might have disagreed with her reasoning, but I understood why she did it. She was a good girl. She worked hard and tried to do the best she could for her dad and little brother. Her relationship with her family – and Cam's connection with them, too – was a highlight of this book. Strong familial relationships are few and far between in new adult, so I loved how Megan highlighted it here.
This was a special book. Not only was it fun (and feel-filled) to follow along with Cam and Tate as they tried to find their way back to each other – and hopefully to a happily ever after – but there are a couple absolutely heartwarming moments with the couples from the previous Bowler University books at the end of the book. I absolutely loved Kat and Alec and Lea and Max, so it was *wonderful* to get to see where life had taken them since their books ended. Fans of the Bowler University series will adore this conclusion to the series. As sad as I am to let go of these characters, I'm really pleased with how it ended.

Make It Last was a cute, fun, and sexy read about a second chance romance. I’d already read Make It Count and loved it so I knew another Bowler University story would be a guaranteed hit.
Tate and Cam had what they thought was an epic love…until they didn’t. While we, the reader, think we know what happened as we first start the story, we only find out that our main characters had so many more secrets they would reveal to each other along the way. They finally realized these past choices led to years of misunderstandings and bucket loads of regret, but at the same time maybe it was all for a reason. The way they came to terms with it was sweet and made my heart flutter.
The romance was definitely new again because this time around Tate was all grown up and Cam was no longer a boy, but such a hot, sexy, hard bodied man-whore. The attraction was even more meaningful and deep because of all the history, and discovering each other physically again was the same, but oh so much better. This all makes me want to talk more about Cam. le sigh. Cam Ruiz is one smoking hot Latino. I loved (thank you, Ms. Erickson for being so descriptive) how we knew exactly how he filled out his shirt, his tatt, his hard bicep, his hair, and how his eyes always gave away his emotions. To top it all off he was a totally stand up guy. Yes, he was the perfect book boyfriend.
I’m never a fan of the selfless plot lines, which was the original Tate and Cam didn’t work out. I was definitely worried I would see the pattern continue… BUT!! these two did some major growing up and their honesty was divine. I absolutely loved how they put their hearts on the line time and time again, except this time realized they each deserved happiness too. This book had plenty of conflicts to drive it, not only between Tate and Cam, but siblings and parents too. (There’s a Jamie story coming, right? please?) While I was rooting for all kinds of happy endings most of the resolutions for each conflict happened within the snap of a finger. While I love and need my HEA, I also really enjoy the struggle of getting there to keep it real. I do wish the ending wasn’t as rushed, but the quickness did make for a lighter story and sometimes that’s just what we all need.

I do wish the ending wasn’t as rushed, but the quickness did make for a lighter story and sometimes that’s just what we all need.
Rec it? YES! Another great installment in the Bowler University series for your shelf!

Make It Last is another enjoyable and refreshingly low-on-drama New Adult title by Megan Erickson. It's the last book in her Bowler University series and features a guy I have been dying to know more about. In the first two books Cam seems like your typical player, but we find out that his high school love, Tate, broke his heart by cheating on him. After Alec and Max, it's finally his turn to find his happy ending, and what a better way than by going back to the beginning?
I am a huge fan of second chance romances. I think they can be so sweet and thoughtful but full of sexual tension and longing and maybe even regret. That's definitely the case for Cam and Tate. They loved each other in high school but are torn apart in a way that Cam doesn't even realize. When he goes back home to help his mom, he's shocked to find out that Tate is still living there and never left for college. It turns out there is much more to the break up story, which is a good thing because Cam and Tate's feelings for one another still run deep.
I really, really liked Cam. He's not at all the player-type I was expecting him to be, even on the outside. He's a loyal and caring guy and will have the backs of those he loves, no matter what. When he thinks Tate is in trouble or hurt, he doesn't hesitate to help her, even though she broke his heart years ago. I love how natural and easy it was for him to slip right back into her life; he never stopped loving her, and throughout the book he does whatever he can to prove to her that they can "make it last". Tate I didn't enjoy as much as Cam, especially because she kept trying to control people's lives by doing what she thought was the best for them. It took a while for her to catch on, but thankfully she does do her part in the relationship at the end.
Although Cam and Tate fell in love years ago, I didn't exactly feel a strong connection between them. There's nothing about their romance that really stood out to me or, as was the case with other two books in the series, made me ship them passionately. Still, I'm grateful that there are NA books like this out there, and I'll gladly read Megan Erickson's future books. Apparently she has quite a few this year!

Make it Last is the third book in the Bowler University series by Megan Erickson. Each book can be read as a standalone, but I really enjoyed reading them together. This is a great group of friends, and it helps to read their stories in order. Cam was always kind of the quiet pensive one in the group. He was never too rambunctious, he was never a womanizer. And because of that he faded a little into the background of his louder, more in your face friends. To me, that made him all the more mysterious. I was really excited to get to see his story. I love this series so much, so I was sure that Megan Erickson would make me fall in love with Cam. And she completely did with Make it Last.
Make it Last is a second chance love story for Cam and his high school sweetheart, Tate. Tate is new to the series, and her and Cam did not end on good terms at all. Since Cam always kind of seemed like the quiet one in the group, he held a soft spot in my heart. So I wasn't sure how I would feel about Tate wronging Cam. And I will admit that she started off on my crap list. But she quickly wormed her way into my heart. Her story is powerful and heartbreaking as well. This book had a sadder tone than the first two for me. And back to my initial impression of Cam- he is a sweetie, but he is far from quiet. Back in his home town, Cam really started to open up, and let us see who he really is. Cam just can't help but want to take care of everyone around him.
Make is Last is a great addition to the Bowler University series. Fans of the first two books will love Cam and Tate's story. I loved, loved, loved that Cam and Tate started communicating again through their virtual world game, even after they had seen each other in person around town. They created a whole life for the two of them in this world, back when they were dating and they started to use it again, now that they were back in town. It was really cute. Cam and Tate's story will touch your heart, that's for sure. This is an all around great series.

The Bowler University trilogy started so well but then fizzled. Though, to be fair, I have a GR friend who likes books two and three the best, so I guess it all depends what you like out of a ship. Personally, I’m into banter and spark, so I’m all about book one. If you’re into sentiment, books two and three will be more your speed.
Make It Last improved on Make It Right in my opinion. Though the former lovers reuniting trope is by no means my favorite, Erickson does it pretty well. I kinda shipped Cam and Tate, though you can tell how passionate I am about that. At the start, due to misunderstandings, they’re not getting along and, me being me, I liked that bit the best, but it did get me a bit invested. Also, maybe because I barely knew Cam and didn’t know Tate at all, their characterization didn’t seem different than in the other books. There’s also more of an excuse for sentiment when they have that long history and sick parents (Tate’s dad has cancer and Cam’s mom has fibromyalgia).
Aside from the romance being the slightest bit dull (for me because where’s the banter), I felt like the ending didn’t allow Cam and Tate to work through all of their issues. They have the traditional late-in-the-book-nigh-breakup fight, and they do not agree on an issue on which they need to agree. Both have good reasons but the issue could spell the end of them as a couple. Everything gets conveniently resolved by an outside force, which just makes me wonder what will become of them when something like that comes up again.
Finally, and this is a small point really, but the Utope video game plot line was, to borrow a phrase from my boyfriend, very lame. Utope is a Sims-like video game where Cam and Tate have built their ideal future, and they often fight, apologize, and sex within the game. It’s SO WEIRD. I mean, whatever, because it’s not that important, but holy shit did I not care about any of that.
So yeah, if you’re a shipper of banter, which tbh if you’re here on this blog you probably are, I’d recommend Make It Count super highly and these with many reservations.

Good but not great. Would've liked a few more chapters. Ending felt rushed. Especially when all the friends met up in the end. But overall, was sweet and cute.

I've been wanting to know about Cam from the moment I met him in Make It Right. I knew how disappointed he was to not be able to get his dream job and have to return to Paradise, but I had no idea of what he'd left behind. As someone who loves second chance stories, I was very eager to find out if Cam and Tatum Ellison would have another chance at being a couple.
Right off the bat I knew any sort of reunion between the two was going to be very difficult. They were still raw from what ever broke them apart four years ago. I was intrigued by how they behaved around each other, even though it was painful for them to do so. I loved the chemistry they had. Cam and Tate just worked well together. I was heartbroken by everything Tate was having to deal with and I admired her for how well she was handling everything. I didn't always agree with the decisions she made, but I think she was trying her best.
I loved meeting Jamie and Ted. I do wish there had been some more interactions between Cam and them, perhaps some flashbacks to the past, to give me more insight, but this book is firmly set in the present. I would've also liked some sort of resolution to Ted's story arc, but perhaps that will be addressed in another book. I got really emotional at times. (I cried.) I loved seeing other characters from the preceding books in the series make guest appearances. It was great to catch up with them. For those who may be worried about getting lost, you can read this as a stand alone.
I read this book very quickly; it was that exciting and thrilling. I'm sincerely hoping the series will continue and we'll get more stories from the now mostly former Bowler University gang. Megan Erickson has written a book that will thrill, entertain, and touch you.

FIRST THOUGHTS: The smile on my face while reading the last two parts is ridiculously huge. But even so, I really really really enjoyed Make It Last!

I had fallen hard for the characters that Megan Erickson brought to life in both novels, and the same is true of Make It Last, where readers follow Cam Ruiz as he returns to his hometown and finds himself unexpectedly reunited with the ex-girlfriend who broke his heart, Tate Ellison. Oh man, y’all, I really, really adored Cam. He’s such a wonderful guy, kind, thoughtful and always willing to lend a hand. Readers are treated to seeing a more vulnerable side to Cam, particularly when it comes two of the most important women in his life – his mother and Tate. Tate, oh Tate. I wanted to stay angry with her, but as her situation in life is laid bare, it’s impossible to do so. In fact, it’s hard not to feel a combination of pity (at the difficulty of it all) and admiration (for how she does her best to handle it on her own) for her. Together, these two confront the past, work things out in the present and dream about the future – and it’s a treat. I’m a sucker for a good first love story (and a return to an old flame story), and Cam & Tate share a particularly sweet relationship. Together with great supporting characters and amazing cameos from old favorites (!!!!!), Make It Last was definitely wonderful. If you haven’t yet indulged in the Bowler University series, consider this a PSA to do so.

Megan Erickson is playing with the big girls with MAKE IT LAST...bringing another fantastic addition to the Bowler University series, solidifying her place among some of my favorite New Adult Authors! Christina Lee and Erin McCarthy Fans will fall in LOVE with Erickson's "real" approach to New Adult romance, and her heroes have all the qualities that make a smokin hot book boyfriend (says the cougar)!
Cam and Tate have a hurtful past, which comes to light little by little throughout MAKE IT LAST, where we get to watch them form a truce while he is home for the summer helping his mother, and she is stuck in their hometown taking care of her sick father and younger brother. Let's just say that my heart was broken from the first time they see each other after four years...yea...talk about an overload of emotion...and it doesn't stop there.
My favorite part of the book was the two of them playing Utope, which is like a "Sims" game, and those small "things I want to say to you, but can't to your face" moments just stole my heart. Talk about loving someone so much, you will go to lengths to make sure they have a better life...Tate is someone I admire and I don't say that a lot about heroines, but I would definitely invite her to hang with my chicks
I highly recommend the complete Bowler University Series, as a series whore..I say start at the beginning, but buy them all, cause you wont be able to stop once you start!!
