My Review:
Bobbie Mendoza is ignoring Christmas this year. She doesn’t want anything to do with it because she feels it is bullying her. Her younger brother, Tad, loves Christmas, he actually wears an elf suit every day. Her Uncle Dale…well he’s a little strange but how can you be defined as normal with a spaghetti strainer on your head. With Bobbie’s Dad away on a job, Bobbie is just not feeling in the Christmas spirit and after her unfortunate accident, she might be actually ruining Christmas for everyone. When two elves show up in her closet it is up to her to save Christmas and stop the machine that is putting EVERYONE on the Naughty List this year.

I can’t even tell you how fun this book was to read. The illustrations just made this book so much more enjoyable and hilarious. I really liked Bobbie she is your typical kid going through a hard time with her dad away. I thought her Uncle Dale was so funny and might actually not be as weird as everyone thought. I loved the world build and how each character was done, so funny. The illustrations (as I said already) just create just a great visual for this story that add so much to it and the facial expressions of Bobbie has me cracking up.

This is a great book for Middle Graders who enjoy reading Big Nate or Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Even if your kids haven’t read those book this book is just so much fun and even enjoyable for adult.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my review

Hope you have a great day and Happy Reading!

What a great find, picked up on a whim while at my local library, I grabbed this along with a few books I had on hold and one other holiday themed title. So after I finished my last title I decided to take a look at this one. The story pulled me in right away and never let me go. Between the silly writing and wacky dialogue, mix in the illustrations that move the story along and you have a classic in the making. I gladly put this in my top Christmas reads. I found it light and silly and not requiring too much mental involvement but it all is a positive thing when you think about how much a good refried beans joke is needed during the holidays. Of course you have to throw in something that reminds you what makes this time of year special, family!

This is my kids favorite holiday story! They've read it several times throughout all the years we've owned this book. It's a zany adventure with lots of laughs, and straight-up wacky characters. I've read it several times myself. Bobbie's little brother and Uncle are the wild relatives you know you need in your family. Kudos to the authors for a superb tale!

This book gives me a Diary of a Wimpy kid vibe, but during Christmas! I thought the author was very creative with the characters and names of places. I can’t wait to put this in my middle school library and hear the students opinions on it.

Bobbie has to try to rescue Christmas for her little brother Tad. To do that she must go to other side to disable the Watcher while dealing with Ninja Santa, Larry the Reindeer, and "crazy" Uncle who lives in their basement.

I loved the story and characters. I laughed out loud. The drawings are as much a part of the story as the words. A perfect story for the Christmas season. Just like Bobbie, you'll never see Christmas the same way again.

I think this book is really cool, especially with all of the funny pictures. It kind of reminded me of Diary of a Wimpy Kid!

My favorite character is Gumdrop because he is so funny!

Christmas is supposed to be the best time of the year or so it is said, but this year Bobbie has decided to ignore Christmas. She has decided that if Christmas is going to bully her, she will not participate in any festivities that are related to the holiday. There are other occurences, however, at play. One is that her father is living away from the family due to his new job and the second is that her little brother wants an expensive video game system, which is bound to get no matter what. As the story ensues she goes on a wild adventure with her Uncle Dale, two elves, eight reindeer, and Santa Clause himself, in order to save Christmas, not just for her little brother, but for everybody across world.

This book was an incredibly quick read with cute illistrations throughout the entirety of the book. The illustrations are reminiscent of "Diary of A Whimpy Kid". There is action, adventure, humour, and plot twists throughout. The foreshadowing and angst in the book can be quite heavy at times to point of feeling exasperated. Overall it was a fun little read for holidays and was truly relatable.

The Naughtu List By Micheal Fry is actually an interesting book. I am intreasted in it because it's "theme" is Christmas, and I like Christmas books. This book could be better if it had the point of view of the brother. Another way the book can be better s if it explained what happened to the uncle a little more. The main characters are Bobbie and get uncle. They have to cross the other side to save Christmas (well mostly Bobbie) for her little brother Tad! This book should be read by people who like Christmas and magical things happening.
