Book 4 in The Sweet Life Series

Samantha Sweet can’t seem to catch a break.

Valentine’s Day is fast approaching and nothing is going right. Her houseguests at The Sweet Pea B&B may or may not be who they claim to be, her mother is trying to fix her up with a new beau, Seth and Melanie are reconciling, and if that isn’t enough, there’s a murder in the carriage house that needs solving.

Being naturally nosy, Peabody’s number one amateur sleuth can hardly resist investigating this latest mystery that falls into her lap, especially when one of her friends is arrested for the murder. With the help of Seth, her secret love, and Dingle, her secret weapon, they set out to find the truth and clear their friend’s name. But investigating the victim’s life reveals deep, dark secrets that connect Samantha to something much, much bigger than she ever expected. Once the door to that past is open, the future can never be the same again, and Samantha learns that even when you put your trust in God, life is still a thrilling and chilling ride right to the very end.

Not Again!!

The plot of this book was good, yet I knew the author was going to annoy me to the point of no return. Spoiler: when Seth and Samantha finally get together at the end of book four she opens the door to her supposedly dead husband.
I'm not sure if I want to torture myself with that drama for hours through the final book. 😝😠

I did enjoy this book more than the third one. I think this one may be my favorite so far. There are quite a few editing issues as there have been in the entire series. For me, it's distracting! But the characters and ever-changing storylines are great! Definitely 3 1/2 stars.

I have really enjoyed reading this series, and just when I thought it was coming to an end... there's more! I can't wait for the next book in the series, and I'm anxious to know when it will be published. This author doesn't seem active on social media, and I'm dying to ask her!
