Like you all know the first book left us with a MAJOR cliffhanger and the blurb for book two made me so scared I didn't dare to read it. But one must get over her fears and so I did.
This one was definitely less rocktar and more about life. Roughly it describes the aftermath of Lia's accident and how Colt and she handle all that comes with that.
Is it easy? No. Is it about life? Yes. Will it rock your emotions? Hell yes!
I know that I ain't telling much but that's because there are just too many things happening and I don't know how to tell ya'll without spoiling it.
So if you want to know what happened with Lia and Colt after that horrible accident? Don't be afraid and just read it!

If your looking to read two books filled with angst and a true roller coaster ride; then these two are for you. The first book 'Off Your Rocker' had me up all night reading and this one I read today. Been along time since two books kept me interested enough that I couldn't put them down. I will admit that I liked the first one a bit more that this one but the story keeps you wanting to stay with it so you know what will happen next. This is the first books I have read by Ms Osborn and I did enjoy her writing style. The two main characters, Lia and Colt have a chemistry from the very beginning, they go through so much together that it surprises you. There were times that Lia made me mad at her insecurities but, with all she goes through it isn't surprising.

Great conclusion to first book
I loved the story, yes I have read similar before but loved it none the less.
A couple that had so many disasters thrown at their personal lives that it took a strong love and bond to keep them together.
Lia is the most irritating female ever, cry's at the drop of a hat but I got used to her character,with her selfish ways and spoilt little madamness and Colt well he learns from his mistakes, loving,caring and a total BBF
These two cannot breath and exist without each other and this makes it a hot yet beautiful story, it was a lovely journey to be taken on, nail gripping,frustrating,sad,happy a roller coaster of emotions.
I loved the story, yes I have read similar before but loved it none the less.

Get Your Rocks Off? is the most anticipated second book of this series; for me it was anyway. After reading book one, Off Your Rocker, the author left us with the biggest cliff-hanger I have ever come across. I'm very lucky to have been able to review this book.
Just a small recap. In Off Your Rocker, Colt and Lia had finally come together. Even though a few obstacles were thrown in their way, they managed to resolve them and we thought yes, this is it! A happy ever after. But no! Tragedy strikes when you least expect it. Well, it did for this couple.
Get Your Rocks Off? revolves around a tragic accident causing overwhelming feelings of torment for these two protagonists. Once again, they’d have to overcome numerous amount of hurdles to be able to get on with their lives. Or would the fateful events of that day tear them apart forever?
We were left wondering if Colt would be able to cope with what life was throwing at him. Would he let his former addiction take hold of him again? Would Lia survive? Physiologically and mentally ... time would tell. Survive she did; however, the consequences that would devastate them both actually brings them closer together more than ever.
If I'm honest, there were moments in this book that brought tears to my eyes. No-one should have to go through what they both had to. My heart went out to them. Life was not going to be easy, but by supporting each other and with love from friends and family, I had a feeling things would be fine. And they were. Until a blast from the past lashes out when a uninvited visitor unexpectedly turns up! A seven year old secret yet again turns their worlds upside down. Would this catalyst finally bring everything to an end? Is love alone enough to combat an extremely dire state of affairs?
I found this review very hard to write as the only way I could write it would be to include the biggest spoiler of all . And I apologise for that.
A note for the author. THANK YOU! I remember when I read book one and frantically searched for you on Facebook to find out when book two was going to be released. Fortunately, you didn't make me wait too long. Your book is a fine piece of work. The situation Colt and Lia found themselves in was handled with great care and attention and I applaud you for that. A perfectly written book that kept me on edge at all times made this book a most enjoyable read.

I have read the first book "Off Your Rocker" when it was released and loved it, this series has quite an emotional range - its got angst, drama and humour as well as Ahhh that was so sweet and loving moments too. If you are a fan of the Rockstar romance genre then you will enjoy this series.
The first book ended with a real doozy of a cliff hanger and so the beginning of this book continues from where it takes off, and if you have not read the first book then I am sorry but this synopsis on the 2nd book will give a little away to what happened at the end of book 1 that had me totally floored. - you may find that a good or a bad thing, it depends on whether you like cliffhanger surprises or not I guess.
SO IF YOU HAVE NOT READ BOOK ONE CLICK HERE TO BUY ... if not then you can carry on reading the as spoiler free as I could do review :D
After what happened at the end of Book 1, Colt is left distraught and won't leave Lia's side. He is faced with an uphill struggle to deal with the consequences , will Colt be able to stay on track or will he fall back into his old habits of drugs?
Colt and Lia have a big hurdle to deal with learning to look forwards and this book deals with all the grief, depression and rehabilitation that the situation has brought on. When you think there is a little light at the end of the tunnel, Ms Osborn will make you wait for a little longer and make your heart hurt as you journey a with Colt and Lia, I certainly was sniffing and sobbing as I read the book, but don't think its all doom and gloom, there are some lovely light moments and we also get to catch up on the lives of the other band members.
Just to make things more harder for this unfortunate couple, THE EX puts in an appearance to put the screws on a bit tighter...
my rating is again a 4.5 stars, I really did enjoy the book but for me there were so many hurdles thrown at the pair, but overall I did enjoy reading the finale to this series. You may be thinking... how does Lia and Colt cope with all this stress on their relationship?
Well I will finish by saying read the book and find out, it was a bit of a roller coaster ride reading it but Ms Osborn did eventually give me my HEA... but she sure made sure my tear ducts got a workout first.
I will finish by saying to Ms Osborn - well done at finishing this series off with a really lovely Epilogue I Loved it :D.

After reading book 1 I expected something better. I am really disappointed. The book has a good part (last 30%), a okay part (first 30%) an a big boring part in the middle. Therefore this book gets only 2.5 stars.

This is the second book in the Off Your Rocker Duet and picks up right where Her Temptation left off. Just be aware of the emotional roller coaster K.E. Osborn will bring you on as you're reading the book.
His Obsession is filled with: grief, guilt, angst, drama, tension, challenges, heartbreak, romance, revelations, trust, undeniable chemistry, and unconditional love. Be prepared for a page turner that will cause you to cry more than once.
Dee and Colt's life has been thrown for a loop after Dee's accident after the Super Bowl. His Obsession has been an emotional journey for the both of them, starting with Colt and his realization of potentially spending his life without Dee after her accident. Dee spends weeks recovering from the near fatal accident at the end of Her Temptation.
The world building in this second part of the duet focuses on the up and down relationship as Colter and Deliah must come to terms with what happened, and what will never be. Colt and Dee are learning how to communicate their needs better and grow as a couple after their life together is turned on its head more than once.
Colt must work through the guilt he feels for what Dee has been through, while Dee must work through the future she has lost. It's beautiful to see how the strength of their love is tested, but also seeing it be the thing that allows their love to survive.
I am excited to see what comes next with the next generation of the 12GAUGE-Slayed!

This book broke my heart Dee and Colt are dealt a devastating hand. They love each other dearly but when the hits keep coming are they both strong enough to fight against them and will that love be enough to keep term together?
Once again another fantastic read for me and I cannot wait for the next generation.

And it continues… Dee and Colt definitely do not have it easy. Watching them struggle to make it is heartbreaking. There’s so much stacked against them? Can they make it? There’s plenty of twists in these books to keep you reading, trying to figure out if they are going to make it. I don’t want to ruin the story….. you just need to read these duets

I received a copy of this story for an honest review for The Reading Room Blog.
Get Your Rocks Off jumps in right where the cliffhanger of Off Your Rocker? ended, with Lia at death's door. Colt struggles to keep it together but as the ramifications of Lia's accident grow the couple's future begins to look not so bright. Life and death, marriage and babies, fame and fortune - the Rock God of Slayed must decide what his priorities are and what he needs to do to ensure Lia is with him to experience it all.
What I Loved: Colt and Lia snagged my heart in Off Your Rocker? so I was eager to see what author KE Osborn had in store for them. Get Your Rocks Off is one heck of an emotional roller coaster that clearly demonstrates Colt and Lia are the real deal. Their time together spans weeks, months and years. I loved how the characters grew as individuals and in their love for each other. I may have wanted to shake them both senseless on occasion, but it just meant I definitely invested in them as characters. Get Your Rocks Off had me clenching my chest in several scenes and going "No, no, no..." but I knew the characters would do what it took to get a happily ever after. An added bonus is the friendship between Lia and her BFF Anna. I love a good female friendship story line and the one between Lia and Anna totally shines.
What I Didn't Love: Holy Xanax Batman, but this book was a smidge darker than I expected. Every time Colt and Lia overcome one obstacle it felt like - WHAM - new smack down that drives them both to the breaking point. Colt's brother Hux has also made my list of characters most in need of a smack upside the head list.
Favorite Quotes:
"Nothing will stop me from spending until the end of time with you. I love you so much it hurts, and a life without you isn't a life worth living."
"You save me Lisa, every time. I just hope I can be the one to save you..."
"I never in my wildest dreams have ever thought I would have a friend who would be so loving and loyal as Anna is. If Colt wasn't my soul mate, I think Anna would be, in a non-sexual way of course."
Overall Get Your Rocks Off is well-written and definitely packs in the drama. If you like your romance with angst, you are going to LOVE this book. Get Your Rocks Off is not a standalone and you will need to have read Off Your Rocker? before jumping into the story. I recommend giving the books a go and I'll be checking out some of KE Osborn's other books.
Side note - The epilogue for Get Your Rocks Off sets up the Slayed offspring forming their own band. I would 100% read that book. Just saying.

Delilah and Colt were set to have it all until things take a turn for the worse. Colt ends up alone. Delilah is in an accident but truths will be revealed that could make or break them as a couple. A second chance with all the heartache.

Continuing from her temptation things haven't been easy for Colt & Dee and the fight us on to keep everything together.
Many certainly did a number on Colt and Deevis having to learn patience. Both face some unexpected changes and struggle to manage.
A truly wonderful story, loved the characters and storyline very emotional and heartfelt.

Way better than the first one!!
Get Your Rocks Off is the second book in the Rock God series. I will admit to not being a huge fan of the first book, however my curiosity was piqued by the end and I was anxious to see what was in store for our turbulent couple. We were left with quite the cliffy in book one and book two picks up from there. A dedicated Colt staying at the side of his girl until he's sure she's okay. Slayed is on hiatus due to this and other issues in the band.
While I wanted to see a stronger Lia this time around, she just didn't quite break through. She had her tough-girl moments, but still came off as whiny and needy more than not. I don't think many Rock Gods would put up with all the crap Colt does with her, but he does and does it pretty well this time around.
K.E. Osborn puts Lia through the ringer and you can't help but wonder if she is going to ever land right side up. The proverbial carrot of happiness is constantly dangled in front of her then cruelly yanked away, leaving Colt to pick her back up. However, as you read you see it may be just what this couple needs to learn how communicate better, which was something they were completely missing in book one.
Lia is a mess and Colt is putting up the best front he can. The rest of the band mates and wives are helping out, but with a situation like Colt and Lia's it really is all up to them. There are decisions to be made and hearts to protect. Just when you think you know which direction K.E. Osborn is going, she changes it and you have no choice but to follow.
The book is good, well written and kept my interest until the end. The story of Colt and Lia wraps up nicely and we are treated to a great epilogue.

I don't think many Rock Gods would put up with all the crap Colt does with her, but he does and does it pretty well this time around.
K.E. Osborn puts Lia through the ringer and you can't help but wonder if she is going to ever land right side up. The proverbial carrot of happiness is constantly dangled in front of her then cruelly yanked away, leaving Colt to pick her back up. However, as you read you see it may be just what this couple needs to learn how communicate better, which was something they were completely missing in book one.
Lia is a mess and Colt is putting up the best front he can. The rest of the band mates and wives are helping out, but with a situation like Colt and Lia's it really is all up to them. There are decisions to be made and hearts to protect. Just when you think you know which direction K.E. Osborn is going, she changes it and you have no choice but to follow.
The book is good, well written and kept my interest until the end. The story of Colt and Lia wraps up nicely and we are treated to a great epilogue.

Book two of this series, The Rock God series, picks up where book one left off. The first book, Off Your Rocker, was a fantastic 5 star read, I f’loved it! Do yourself a favor and read that first, BEFORE you read my review. I will try to keep the spoilers to a minimum, but it will be unavoidable in reviewing book two.
Book two picks up with Colt waiting to see if Lia will wake up from the medically induced coma she has been placed in. Her body has been ravaged in the accident, but right now the only concern is that she just regains consciousness. Colt will not leave her side, even when begged and threatened by the hospital staff and even Lia’s dad. He wants to be the first thing she sees when she opens her eyes. When they slowly bring her around, she is frightened as to where she is and is slightly confused. With each passing day, she wakes for longer periods of time and learns the extent of her injuries. The whole band and their wives are behind Colt and Lia, encouraging them through the physical and emotional battles they have to conquer in the months and years to come. The relationship that Lia and Colt has are challenged at every turn and just when they think they have hit rock bottom on the level of their despair, a face from the past threatens to splinter the marriage of the devastated couple. Maybe love is not enough?
Again, the author did such a fantastic job, and while your heart is breaking for Lia, you fall for Colt even more so. The agony that the author portrays in the story had me in tears several times, and yet all the crap that keeps being thrown at them, but they remain a solid team. Loved the story and Colter Slade is truly a heartthrob. *****5 stars

Remember this is book 2 of a series and if this review appears vague, it's because I don't want to spoil it for anyone and certain aspects have been deliberately omitted, because I want the reader to experience the same emotion I did.
This book begins in the aftermath of the way book one ended. I really wasn't sure what would become of Colt and Lia and that made for an incredibly intense first chapter.
For me, the story was one huge rollercoaster of emotion and although I absolutely love Colt, at times he really annoyed me with his unawareness and insensitivity to certain situations.
There were times that I wondered whether there would actually be a happy ever after and all credit to KE Osborn because just when I thought I had things worked out, another twist in the story would occur, taking it into an entirely new direction.
This book was less focused on the Rock Star aspect, but what remains is one incredibly hot read and if I'm honest, I'd say the scenes are even steamier this time.
What I noticed about this book, compared to the first was how much more real the characters appeared. Their flaws and imperfections made them seem more real and their reactions to things were what a lot of us would do in those situations.
If I had one criticism though, it would be that despite such detail going into the book, the ending did feel a little rushed, but as a whole this was a fantastic read and I highly recommend.

Colt was so scared he might loose Lia, and that would be a horrible thing since he doesn't know how to live without her. Finally Lia wakes up from the medical coma they had her for her body to healed properly, the first thing she notice is those beautiful eyes of the man she loves and she know everything will be fine.

OMG! I have been reading books for 65 years and I have NEVER come across an author like Ms. Osborn. The story of Lia and Colt is so emotionally intense with twists and surprises that constantly come out of nowhere to hammer these two characters. There are so many traumatic scenes. This is as close as a book can get to a movie screen with surround sound! One gets so caught up in the emotions it is felt in the body. My stomach churned because this author makes you feel all the emotions from sweet love to the utter devastation when either Lia or Colt walk away. There is frustration with Lia and her insecurities, selfishness, jealousy, depression, fears and hopelessness. Five months after the accident, the sexual tension from abstinence was so heavy & thick Lia's frustration could have been cut with a knife! Colt's fears & desolation after the accident was gut wrenching. The last heavy scene at the end was such a big relief! All the pieces came together and truth prevailed. Thank you Ms. Osborn for writing a story so realistic that I felt it all! You are the best! The author gave me this book in exchange for an honest review and honestly, I wish I could give her more than Five Stars.

I loved these books so very much! I have to admit though after the cliffhanger from the first book I was terrified to read what happened next. My heart literally broke for Lia and Colt. There is no doubt that Colt loves Lia with everything he had. He wouldn't leave her side through her whole recovery. Then the surrogacy failed and my heart broke again for them. And then Macy shows up and says Colt and her have a 7year old son together who needs a kidney transplant. Omg what horrible timing. This couple goes through so much. I was so mad a Colt for a while. He spent so much time away from Lia with his new little family. I know he was trying to do the right thing but he did neglect Lia. I hated when he and Macy would reminisce about the past around her. Bless her heart. This poor couple endured so much I don't know how they kept it together. And Hux, ugh I really did not like him. He was so mean to Lia all the time. And he knew all along that Caleb could be his son and he didn't say anything. I'm glad they got their happy ending. If any couple deserved it they did. Such a great rocker romance. I loved it!

Wow. What an emotional rollercoaster this book was. It is not your typical rocker book by any means.
My heart was breaking throughout this entire book. When I thought, finally things are going to be ok, boom, and more tragedy.
Lia’s world was torn apart. And then it was torn apart and shredded again. Her life will never be the same.
Colt is barely holding himself together as he struggles to be there for Lia. Guilt is pulling him under. However, he is determined that their love can survive anything.
This book was crazy emotional. I just didn’t think I could take any more sadness for this awesome couple. Their true love for each other was amazing though. Even through their lowest times, they were each other’s strength.
The only thing I wish, is that there were more chapters with Colt’s POV. I would have loved to have had more insight into what he was thinking and feeling.
K.E. Osborn delivered a fantastic follow up to Off Your Rocker. This series is great and I definitely recommend it to be read.

The story picks up after the accident with Colt's POV while Lia is lying unconscious in the hospital. We know that she has a broken leg, a stomach injury from being impaled by a piece of pipe from the work van, and brain swelling that caused the doctors to place her in a medically induced coma.
Colt can only focus on being by her side. he can't handle knowing the details of the surgery on her stomach injury and that turns out to be a big mistake.
This book contains a ton of angst and pain. A terrible situation that is devasting but can be overcome with the love of a certain rock god and some very, VERY supportive friends.
Hold onto your socks. They're about to get rocked off!

Rock God #2 after been left on a cliff hanger.....what's going to happen to the main characters. Well the story takes off and just flies! Wow I wanted to slow down, speed up and never end! There's less of the rock lifestyle and more of the love story.......and the ups and downs this book takes you on. More into the lives of the people in the book, you can feel the real life struggles! Can't get over the passion that comes through the pages, I want to laugh and I want to cry, I was to slap and I want to hug. It bring out lives insecurities that follow a big fall! She's can't be who he needs.....well that's her thought then bang...never saw that coming....and just when you think you know whats happening...another twist! I'm just gutted there are only 2 books this series, but every word is worth it....not strung out too much but not cut short....just loved every page.....really loving the writers style!

OMG, after the way book one ended I was dying to get my hands on this one!! That cliffhanger was a horrible but even that didn't prepare me for this one!! This book was heartbreaking! Not just some of it, all of it! It definitely had me feeling like I was on an emotional rollercoaster. GYRO starts right where OYR ends. Colt is in the hospital with Lia after the accident. What would the future hold for her and Colt? Would Lia even survive that horrible accident? Will Colt ever be the same again? Gahh, I could go on and on. Every feeling Colt felt, I felt. My heart just broke for him and just when you think things are starting to turn around.....BAM!!! You better think again!! I can't say anymore at this point bc I don't want to give anything away but if you haven't one click this series yet I highly suggest doing so. This is definitely one you don't want to miss out on.

to say this book in intense is an understatement. It has lots of heartbreaking moments. This book continues off exactly where book 1 Off Your Rocker left off with a massive cliffhanger.
This story doesn't have the rock aspect like the first book did, but this is about the life after a tragic accident, you feel what the main characters are feeling at all times while reading this book, at least I did. I have cried so much while reading this one, due to all the heartbreaking stuff going on.
Can Colt and Lia overcome all the tragedy that the accident at the end of book one has brought on?
Can they help each other thru everything and come out stronger then ever or will it tear them apart forever.

Osborn loves to play with my emotions, she's torn me apart and stuck me back together. I felt everything Colt and Lia have been through. Can you really love the characters so much that you want to be in their story? To hang with these guys, would be so cool, what a band. I love this two book series 'Off Your Rocker?' and 'Get Your Rocks off?' absolutely Rockin'.
