When you strike a deal with the fae, make sure you read all the fine print…
After nearly draining herself to save Rowan, Evie has called off all training to get some much-needed rest. Once again, the universe has a field day with her plans.
Evie thought she was the last living female Chimera.
She's wrong.
When a baby is dropped off at the shop, Evie has no idea how to react. As she searches for the parents, it quickly becomes evident the child is no human or fae. She's full-blooded Chimera, meaning there are at least two others out there like her.
But why would they give her their baby? And why is Evie thinking about keeping her?
Talk about throwing a wrench into her already complicated life.
As Evie and her friends search to uncover the mystery surrounding the child, other forces swirl around them, attempting to unbalance Evie and derail everything she's worked so hard for.
Once again, everything is changing, but Evie finally knows who and what she wants.
It's time for a fae bargain, one Evie hopes will finally bring her into her destiny.
Will it be a happy ever after, or is this just the start of Evie's final downfall?

👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 You go, Evie ! I'm breezing through this series 😂 I haven't read one like this one before. The first few books, we see Evie trying to navigate life after a terrible accident, and she finds Caelan, who shall no longer be named. A lot happened between them, and for a moment, I was fooled thinking he was the one, but boy was I wrong. I have a tendency to start a book without reading the blurb; sometimes the title or the cover will call to me, and I go in blind. I couldn't be happier to come across this series. Evie is a force to be reckoned with.
I feel like we’re just starting to see the big picture and somewhere behind the scenes there’s been a puppet master pulling all our strings. Evie and Rowan, Moira, Ash, Tess, her parents everyone’s been fooled. I’m not sure where this ride ends but it’s been a doozy of a journey so far. There’s action, romance, twists, shocking surprises and we’re not done yet. I could not put this down and now I cannot wait to see how and what Evie uncovers in the next book! 10/10 absolutely recommend!!
Babin has done it again and written yet another new favorite in this fabulous series! With each new book and additional storylines, this character of Evie develops into someone who is stronger, more confident in her own abilities, and able to move forward with a future that’s full of potential for love and happiness.
A very hard fought battle, one that’s still ongoing here.
Goddess Shifting sees Evie, with enormous support from her family and friends, make huge strides forward in healing the wounds and trauma from her past experiences, including her toxic relationship with Caelan.
Rowan, her father and mother, Moira ( who honestly needs a side story or two), and now an adoptive Chimera baby who plays a new emotional element between Evie’s trauma and in the ongoing battles with other species targeting Evie.
Rowan and Evie will go further in their journey, and this ends on a happy note. Love this story! It’s so well written.

First of all, Rowan and Evie finally cementing their bond and discovering they have a fae mate bond too? I loved that for them. The hype around it was actually cute, and after all the tension between them, it felt earned.
I'm also really loving the side story developing between Moira and Ethan because the chemistry there? Yum. And this mysterious chimera baby has me so intrigued. I need answers immediately.
That being said, every chimera in this series continues to make me tired. Barrett got exactly what he deserved, and honestly, at this point, the chimeras associated with the swans just radiate chaos and betrayal.
I also loved Evie slowly rebuilding relationships with her parents, especially her dad. And finally getting answers about who was behind the curse on the land? About time.
The murder attempt on Rowan? Plot twist! Betrayal!
The pacing is FAST and sometimes it feels like certain things get skimmed over too quickly, but honestly? I still had a great time reading this.

Things finally seem to be going okay for Evie. She’s being trained by her father and by Barrett (a chimera) to get to know her powers better. She has a budding mate bond with Rowan – both shifter and fae. You know things are too good to be true. First a chimera baby is dropped off at the keep’s doorstep. No idea where it’s from or who left it. Then she finally gets permission from a lord to cleanse his lands but when she arrives almost everything is dead. Evie is really pissed off and although she doesn’t kill him, she definitely tortures him. While healing the land, Moira is standing watch when Ethan shows up – definitely something going to happen there (books 10 and 11). Again, a lot happens in this book and I find it very hard to say much more without involving spoilers. There is a lot of magic, surprises, suspense, romance, humour and more. A quick, easy entertaining read. Very enjoyable
We pick up where we left off with Evie, Rowan, Moira, and the gang. SE takes us on a roller coaster in this one! Many of our faves (& maybe some of our less than faves) go through some major challenges. Relationships are changing for our lead, her Bestie and our other side characters. I like that this time we see more into the thoughts of the other characters as well, including one of the lesser known Lords, Ethan. I’m picking up on some foreshadowing here and I’m super excited about the spinoff that was mentioned on fb for our friend Moira! Not only are there relationship changes, but there’s a baby and a war! You will really be on the edge of your seat until the very end, but it’s a very satisfying ending. I can’t wait to see where we end up next!.

That’s it I give up. This is a fun series but man is there no high stakes. Every time something dramatic happens the only consequence is that Evie gets more powerful and it’s like… for what? There’s no big threat that’s been building for ages that she’s need this kind of power for. Also, so many random plot lines that don’t get resolved, like where did Fee come from? And she keeps saying Fee can’t be introduced to her mum and then suddenly they’re both at the wedding at the end? And it’s not addressed at all? Tess’ power levels and hinted that she’s something more but hasn’t been mentioned at all this book? And her and Ash are suddenly together again with no explanation?????
Also, why do random characters keep betraying Evie for no reason? There’s no logic!

Every time I finish a book by this author, I am so frustrated because I want the next one immediately, and I have to wait. We are back with Evie, Rowan, Moira, and all the rest of the gang, but poor Evie has so much to heal about and so many enemies, even ones she doesn’t know are her enemies. I don’t want to say much because I don’t want to spoil anything, but I can say I am very intrigued about the start of a new relationship, and I definitely want to see more of that, too. This book is so darn entertaining, engaging, well-written, and just so much fun. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
That was an amazing installation to the series. I can't believe I read through it so quick. Now I have to wait for more. Okay, dear author, I would recommend some really quick writing skills, no sleep, and lots of coffee to help move that process along.
The action, romance, and let's not forget some heart breaking moments. I really wished some things would have turned out better but there's that saying, it's better to have loved than not. Life teaches us all hard lessons. It's whether we learn from them or continue to do the same things over and over again. Stupid Calen.
Well, I’m caught up. And boy am I going to have a book hangover now. I read 8 books in about a week. And this author has a new fan. This series is just…WOW. If you told me in book 1 who was going to wind up the big baddie I would have laughed and maybe not kept going.
What a storyline ARC. As I have said before…this series was wild. The combination of wit, banter, magical beings, great characters, not so great characters and the battles welp it was truly epic. I can’t wait until the next book. I have so much I would like to say but I don’t do spoilers. But man I love this series. What. A. Ride.
Seeing how this seems to be the penultimate book in Evie’s arc of the series, it did read like a final book at times. I love seeing how Evie is flourishing with Rowan, and the addition of a certain little person really set the cat amongst the pigeons in regards to secrets, lies and betrayals. I enjoyed this book a lot, and the final confrontation and consequences for a certain ex was just 😙 *chefs kiss*.
Can’t wait to see how this all works out in book 9 ( before it seems to spin off into a Moira-centric collection of book)
This is one of those series that you will never get bored or want to stop! Each passing book brings more excitement, more drama and I find myself hooked and glued to the pages. Evie thought she was getting a break in this book but it turns out the universe has other plans. There’s challenges to face as relationships change and flourish and there’s some heart breaking moments. Action packed, intriguing this is an incredible addition that leavies you eager for more!
The series was good at first, more Urban Fantasy storyline almost with romance behing heavy. The last two have gone full romance with multiple points of view with other characters. I adore Rowan but the rest of the book was rushed and pretty cheesy, especially the ending with betrayals not explained and a lot just not making sense. The next published book comes out in a few days. I'll still read it but hopefully it's better.
Trite words. I cannot express enough the roller coaster ride these books are. I am 83 years and have read thousands of books. This series ranks highest in my top ten. I have read these books back to back at a speed fast even for me. Incredible story telling. Wonderful characters. Fabulous heroine. An absolute MUST read for anyone who loves magic, shifters, and a sunburst of a storyline.
It started slow and then exploded into action and new discovery. I've loved this series and have been grateful for each novel. I do sometimes wish the author hadn't stopped her other series without a conclusion. But I know that there is an ending coming next month, so thank you and please never stop. Your FMC are the best.
I am glad to visit Evie, Rowan, and and there friends. Evie is trying to learn how to use her magic, but is not having a very good start. While she is trying to learn more about her magic, she is also learning more about Rowan. I will definitely read the next book in the series.
Another great book in the series! Kept guessing on what was going to happen next and I was surprised by a few things! Can’t wait to read the next book!.

I love this series it has action romance and everything else you need. I love the twisty turning and the way it intertwines with humor. I can't wait to read the rest of it
This was such a happy and entertaining book. Such much love and humor , plus other surprising events happening in the story. It is definitely worth reading once if not more. The series is fantastic.
I love this series so much! Its been awhile since I've Been able to find a series that got me hooked! This one did! I'm super excited, and sad, that its almost over!
I absolutely love this series! Can not say enough good things about it. I love Evie, she has been through so much and is still an amazing person, Goddess, whatever…
