The whole rape plot is just icky.

Toji is an unbelievable tool. He should have told Momo about Sae's blackmail--it's not like Momo didn't guess anyway.

In the last volume, Toji planned together with Momo to pretend to break up with her, so they could enact their revenge on Sae. And now he's clamming up again. Momo figures out exactly what's going on with him actually breaking up with her this time, and tells him so, but he still won't open up to her?

Gah, girl, forget that guy. I'm looking forward to "Change of Heart," for sure.

Moc pěkná kresba, která se s každým volumkem zlepšovala. Jen se mi zdálo, že se někde v polovině změnily boty a trochu školní uniforma. Ale to je jen takový malý detail.

Zajímalo by mě, co měly naznačovat ty kresby na konci každé kapitoly. Momo na nich vypadala jako modelka, díky tomu vkusnému a draze vypadajícímu oblečení. Zprvu jsem si myslela, že to mají být nápovědy o tom, co se bude dít dál, ale vyšlo najevo, že s příběhem nijak nesouvisí. Což ze začátku vůbec nebylo jasná, takže mě to několik volumek hrozně mátlo.

Hlavní hrdinku Momo jsem ze začátku měla poměrně ráda, ale postupně se moje sympatie k ní pomalu mizely. Avšak mizely jen po krátkou dobu a můj vztah k ní byl stále mírně pozitivní. Obdivovala jsem ji za některá z jejich rozhodnutích a za to, jak zvládala nátlak od okolí. Někdy od čtvrtiny příběhu jsem ji najednou nechápala, dokonce jsem se nemohla dobrat k tomu, abych jí odpustila její činy, přestože tam byla zmínka o tom, že jí samotné přijde její chování divné.

Sae jsem nesnášela. Ze začátku to měla podle mě autorka v úmyslu, pak její chování začala omlouvat a my jsme jí měli odpustit. Pořád ale dělala špatné věci, díky kterým jsem ji nesnášela čím dál více. Úplně na konci se sice najednou chovala hrozně hezky, a dokonce pomáhala hlavní hrdince a ostatním. Dokonce i když udělala pár dobrých skutků, tak jsem jí nemohla odpustit, jelikož mi to nepřišlo uvěřitelné, aby se takhle zčistajasna změnila.

Příběh mě stále docela bavil i přesto, že tam byli krávoviny, které mě hrozně štvaly. A nepochopila jsem Momino přecházení od jednoho kluka ke druhému, protože to bylo kvůli prkotinám. Jako když se to stalo poprvé dalo se to poměrně dobře pochopit, ke všemu když to bylo i na delší dobu.

Žádnému z kluků jsem nefandila, neboť mi ani jeden nepřišel sympatický či aspoň dostačující. I když jsem asi měla radši Tojiho, jelikož to byla Momina první láska a zároveň mi to aspoň připadalo trochu opravdové.

Nečekala jsem, že tu budou i nějaké temné věci, které mě přinutí cítit znechucení nad lidstvem ( je ale fakt, že u mě to jde celkem snadno :D). Ale nevím, jestli je to plus či mínus, protože mi to nepřišlo moc uvěřitelné. Stejně jako to počáteční šikanování Momo. Ze začátku jak ji všichni nemají rádi, ale pak se najednou objeví holky, které řeknou, že za vše vždy může Sae, začnou se k ní všichni chovat hrozně mile a k Sae ošklivě. A to při tom od začátku věděli, kdo je k tomu podněcuje.

Obálky se mi nelíbí. Musím ale přiznat, že některé trochu dobře vypadají. Stále nechápu, proč tam Momo vypadá jako modelka. Myslím kvůli tomu oblečení a pózám.

Seriously, this volume should not be rated 13+, it's a solid 16+ or even 18+ for depictions of perviness.
This picks up right where 6 left off, with Sae held captive in a hotel with a leather-clad pervert. It takes some convincing, but Momo rescues Sae from the clutches of this gross man by knocking him out with a fire extinguisher. Sae just can't let it go however, and vows to destroy Momo.
Things are going super well, finally, for Toji and Momo until Sae threatens to release photos at a press release for Goro featuring Momo in his bed. Toji thinks the honorable thing is to take the blackmail bait. So, he breaks up with Momo on top of the Ferris Wheel and "dates" Sae. Kiley sort of comes to the rescue and has Momo confront Toji at school, but he plants a kiss on Sae and that's where the volume ends.

There seems to be less and less action in these volumes as plot points are taking longer to drag out and complete which is disappointing. There's only one more volume of this first series of Peach Girl before the spin-off Change of Heart. The details are still pretty fuzzy with this re-read so we'll see how it gets to the inevitable conclusion.

I remembered this terrible break-up from the anime, but it still stings seeing it happen again in the manga. Honestly I'm just really disappointed in Toji, he's a great guy who truly loves and cares for Momo, and I'm sure they could've figured out another way to overcome Sae, if only he could've explained as much to Momo. And I just have to add that I'm still not over what Sae and Goro did to Momo, for some reason I remembered it being faked, and the only actual damage that was done was the emotional scarring (which is still pretty bad), but I guess I misremembered because Goro hasn't come forward admitting anything of the sort, which is upsetting me. Ahhh my heart hurts! At least Kairi is there being such a sweet and supportive guy, while also being hilarious. He's currently the only levity this series has lolol.

Trigger warning for rape, sexual assault, and blackmail.

Blackmail has happen and poor Momo cannot get a freaking break. Even after rescuing Sae from an attempted rape that they caused, Sae still hasn't learned her lesson.

Hopefully once I get over the Toji/Momo pairing, I can enjoy this series again. For now, these last few volumes have not been good.

So, this series got a bit better, but not enough yet to warrant 3 stars. 2.5 maybe.
